pool-computers in office-users

Hello

I have a pool with 3 desktops and of multiple users. each user has received 1 desktop computer.

is able to assign only 3 desktops to 40 users?  How can I do?

or is mandatory 1 computer desktop for the user?

Tjansk a lot

I found the below on page 37 of the planning architecture guide.  It would seem that it is recommended to use a dedicated assignment.

http://www.VMware.com/PDF/view45_architecture_planning.PDF

Use dedicated assignment because the local mode users must connect to the same desktop computer every time.

I want to install CC on 3 computers - home, office and laptop. Do I have to buy an extra subscription for it?

    Hi Turbofinch,

You can install the software on two computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or everyone.

If you install on a third computer, you will be asked to turn off this feature on the other two computers.  You can then re-enable one of the two previous computers and use Cloud Creative apps on it.

If you regularly need to use creative cloud on more than two computers, it would be better to buy an additional subscription.  It's the same btw licenses we have for our perpetual product.  A benefit for creative cloud on the perpetural product is that you can install on Mac and Windows with the same subscription!

Let me know if you need more help.

    Thank you!

  • Possible to limit the virtual office users to connect to the customer in the room 1 class?

I apologize if this is an arrogant question but I didn't quite know how to find this without other strange visits.

What I want to do, is to deploy a classroom with (non-persistent) virtual machines as a CEP. This class can be used by anyone, so I'll need to entitle "Everyone" or "Domain users" to access these machines. However, I do not want to download the VMWare Client on other workstations and use virtual desktops in this pool. We will have a separate pool for this behavior (scenario 2). My original plan was to limit it with a firewall, but this would not at all for the second scenario.

Is there a solution integrated into the rest of the Horizon to welcome a 'right workstation' or is there a better solution for my problem?

    Thank you very much

    -Brandon

You will need to create a second connection agent and then tag it and the pool of offices with the same tag.    The next step could be class routing to this particular broker.

My reason is that I have a main office and we also use a laptop to go to meetings of the customer. I know that with an individual user, you can have a license for two computers, it still works like that?

    Hi team,

    Good evening!

I recently implemented a policy of Proxy by GPO to apply its settings on IE10 through users and computers not.

I would like to do it in the machine and not the user. If anyone can tell me how to do or direct me to a model of administration, I would be very grateful.

I do this thing all in VM

  • Discover the manual pool | Addition of office

    Hi team,

Just a silly question. Can't we add more desktop manual pool in view 5.2?

    Please specify.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards

    Hari.

No, you should be able to.  I don't think that you can add 2 to the same user, however.

  • Possible to manually assign a persistent VM pool to a specific user?

We have a particular use case where we want to take advantage of thin provisioning capabilities of view, but must continue to use direct access to these virtual machines RDP.  Today, we must have user account once the use of the customer to view so that the view 'assign' one of the instances of pooling, which is a bit of a pain.  We would have preferred to be able to manually assign the VM user so that there is no future conflicts with other users in the pool to help the customer to view (or view).  Is this possible?

If you use 3.0, you can try to use vdmadmin.exe to assign a desktop computer to a paticular user.

  • Computers vs office space

Some descriptions of Apple use 'space' and others use "Office" to mean the same thing. Mission Control uses the two (for example, Desktop1, Desktop2, vs "screen" in the Mission Control system preferences).  Why?  Am I missing something?

Hi timonterey. Spaces is the name of Apple for its virtual office function, an organizational tool to create individual workspaces. If you wish, you can think of spaces like similar to virtual screens places can have a desktop computer (where view you files, folders and application windows), an application full screen, or two applications in split view. For example, you can create an office space, a space of full screen or full screen space (split mode). When you add a desktop computer, office 2, for example, you create your desktop in an extra space. Some Apple documents simply designate a desktop computer as a space.

  • Envy: Box of computers in office - All - in - One TouchSmart HP ENVY & Touch I connect two computers smart touch

I have an old pevilion touchsmart, can I hook the two together and work as two separate screens, and not mirror?

    Hello @OnTimeVA,

I see what you're asking now. The answer is 'NO' as the all-in-one is a computer equipped with a fixed thus display the entries must go through the computer to get on the screen. I've heard some people are able to go through the HDMI-IN port on some all-in-one computers, but not all were successful.

I hope this helps. Thanks again for your post on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Using Skype in a pool to view office

    Hi all

Skype works very well to individual virtual machines.

We needed to implement a small pool view 4.5 Desktop that had Skype installed.

Suppose we have 2 x VMs in the Desktop view pool, A & B.

If run us Skype on A, we can make Skype calls etc no problem.

But if launch us Skype on B, then Skype doesn't this VM.

If we start Skype on B first, then that's the one that works and will not.

I guess it's something to do with how Skype recognizes devices and I guess it's to think it comes from the same device.

Probably because of the source of these images.

Someone at - he really tried this or have an answer as to what is happening?

    Is this possible?

    TIA

    Rob.

Is it a linked cloning pool?  If so, you can try to use sysprep instead of fast and see if Skype recognizes each workstation correctly.

  • How to connect automatically if only 1 pool offices

    Hello

    My situation is as follows:

    -VMware View 5.1

-Evaluation criteria are Win7 in a working group (therefore not part of the domain)

-Point of endpoint is configured to automatically open a session with a local user

-L' user is presented with an alternative shell that automatically launches the customer to view

-L' user authenticates by entering credentials in the view of the customer

This client a user is entitled to a pool of both offices.

Protocol format and the remote display is preset and a user cannot choose which.

The customer believes that the choice of the office pool is "one click too" and it's pretty useless so I want to get rid of this selection of pool.

I was just my VTSP for desktop and here in training, he States:

"Users may be entitled to several desktop computers. But even if they only have a single desktop computer, they must still select it and click Connect (unless they have set the automatic connection on the desktop at startup). »

So that leads me to believe that it should be possible. But when you choose the automatic connection option, it automatically connects to the correct server to view but it does not automatically select one office (pool), presented to the user.

I know that I can start the View Client with the settings as DesktopName and other things but it does not work. It is not a kiosk; the desktopname can differ by user.

So my question is: is it possible that I can leave the journal of customer view through when a user is presented with only a single desktop computer (pool)?

    Kind regards

Once connected to the desktop computer there is an auto connect Desktop option available in the shadow.   If you enable what it will automatically connect to this pool from that moment.

You can also use parameters in command line or from the policy group on the client from the view to accomplish this task.

  • SkyDrive, Office 365, and Windows 8 with different user names

A few months I bought Office 365, put him on a victory. 7 computers and Office Open using a Gmail account for my user ID (do not have a live account). Office / Skydrive works very well. Just bought a new victory. laptop 8 and open a real account to connect to the new laptop. The Live username is my login Win 8. The skydrive on the default values of portable Win 8 new a account linked to the new Live user name empty Skydrive. How can I get the new victory. 8 portable by default to the original Skydrive with gmail (many docs in this Skydrive) username?  I am looking for a long term solution. Should I "Rename" the account Office 365 for the new Live account? Can I use the login gmail as my victory. Sign in now and all the future widows editions years on the road? Thanks a lot for your help!

If you use your ID gmail to access skydrive, it's already your microsoft account.  (a microsoft account is not linked to a particular area such as outlook.com, hotmail.com or live.com).  your @gmail.com can also be your microsoft account.

That said, you can use your id gmail for everything (the computer connection, skydrive account) and stop using the new microsoft account, you just created, or you can set up skydrive just to use your gmail account and continue logging in to your computer with the new microsoft account.

to activate the skydrive account, launch skydrive, reveal the charms bar (move the mouse to the lower right), click settings, click options, and then click the logout button.  next time you start skydrive, you will be asked to log in.  Sign in with your gmail id and your password.

  • Manual office pool

    Hello

I'm trying to create a pool of manual offices Horizon 6.1. I chose other sources because I don't want to use Vcenter.

I see not all virtual machines to add to this list manually, however, a virtual machine (Windows 7) is on an esxi with a horizon installed agent.

Is there something to do to add this virtual machine?

For more information, I am able to create a manual pool of offices with one or more VM inside the Vcenter. But I need to create a pool of manual offices without Vcenter...

    Thank you for your help,
