Pop - up - causing to reboot every 5 minutes

Visited a Web site (scanned post 'infection' total virus and found nothing) this am and immediately after, determined that I had shot down some type of adware.  Adware is a pop-up that says: "this computer will restart in 5 minutes.  Please save all work on and log out select Log Out in the bottom of the Apple menu. »

If I click ok, it is just in the background... but from time to time (not sure of the exact date), it will open a new window front and Center.  If I reboot myself, it starts again.  There is no indication in the start lists.

Any ideas?  So far, google search only found another post (error wrong with play back button) but no answers there.  Malicious programs were not able to detect.  Thanks in advance!

OSX El Capitan

10.11.5 version

Any ideas?

A bad choice of downloading some 'free' software has resulted in my entire system being severely damaged. The software was finished and kept rebuilt after being removed in the control panel. I chose to back up individual files and to make a recovery full back to the way the system was when I got it.  I spent several days by adding the individual files and updates Microsoft of close to a hundred.  Everything went great and it works fine, BUT when he's just sitting idle for this a 'reboot' every 10 minutes, stopping on the login page.  If I use the PC it doesn't... just when it is sitting idle.

I guess there is a setting that causes this, but I can't.  I'm puzzled. Help, please.

    Hello azloafer,

To check the power settings you have configured on the computer and see if the computer goes to sleep after 10 minutes.

    1. go to the control panel

    2. Select system and security

    3. check the Power Options

There are a few options on the left panel as requiring a password at startup and selecting to none.

  • Reboot every 5 minutes

OK, I have a major problem.  He just started this morning but it seems once I have unlock my phone on every 5 minutes it is restarted.  I tried to remove the battery and restart but it is still ongoing.  Even after uninstalling the apps updated this morning, I still have the same problem.  Any ideas?

My guess is that an update of the app has caused a problem somehow. I have tried so many applications when I arrived I found that it was better to do a factory reset. Since all of your contacts and calendar etc... are synchronized with google doing a factory reset takes 10 minutes and all your photos, music, videos etc. are saved to the SD card, so they will not be affected, but cela. It's really as simple as that. I worry about them, but if you are worried about your texts, you can get various applications on the market to save on your card sd and other that that you don't lose anything and it is very easy.

Let us know if you try it and if it solves your problem and my guess is that it will.

  • When Firefox in reduced and I work with another program, why does automatically optimize (pop-up) every 10 minutes?

I use Windows 7 and 8.0.1 Firefox on a PC. It's frustrating. I like Firefox, but it keeps popping up every 10 minutes when it is minimized and I work in another program. I can't continue to use if it cannot be repaired. I just changed from 3.6 and never had any problems. In addition, no settings have been changed.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Blue screen and the computer goes into a reboot loop after every 15 minutes

    Original title: fix blue screen

Computer stops automatically at almost every 15 minutes apart, the blue screen appears and is long enough to read the information to fix this.  Computer automatically restarts.

    Hi Lady Cole,.

    a. when the issue occurred?

    b. remember to make changes to your computer before the problem?

    Step 1:

To disable the automatic restart in case of system error, follow these steps:

    a. restart your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

    b. Select disables automatic system failure reboot when the Windows Advanced Options menu is displayed and press ENTER.

When a problem causes a blue screen of death or another major error that stops the system, the computer restarts automatically. Need to restart manually, and you would be able to note the error message and after return.

    Step 2:

Start your machine in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

    Step 3:

If the problem does not occur in safe mode, I would like you to put your machine in a clean boot State in order to determine whether the problem is caused by a conflict of third party software. Clean boot helps eliminate the conflict of third party software.

Note : do not forget to restart your machine as usual.

Every few minutes, we receive a small Microsoft Windows pop-up window that says: "Carbonite Secure Backup Engine has stopped working and was closed.  A problem with the application to stop functioning properly.  Windows will notify you if a solution is available. »

Our computer remotely accessible Carbonite technician.  He said Carbonite works correctly and could not understand why we continue Gets the pop-up.  Carbonite has been uninstalled and reinstalled twice, but the pop up comes back.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

Generally, this sort of thing occurs when a program conflict makes one or the other case work, maybe even for a few seconds. During these few seconds Windows will pick it up and give you this popup. Here's a possible solution:

    1. Click the start or Windows Orb.
    2. In the search bar, type 'system' (without the quotes)
    3. At the top of search results, there will be an option for "System Configuration"
    4. A window willl pop up, with several tabs and options. Click on the tab "General".
    5. On this tab, there will be a selection for the "selective startup". Click on this button.
    6. Then two options becomes clickable, deselect the option "Load Startup items".
    7. Restart your computer. ! WARNING: Do not access the internet during this time because you will be vulnerable to viruses, spyware and software malware!
    8. Once he starts back, Carbonite Backup launch, because no program will run.

The problem should be solved. If this is the case, immediately turn on your antivirus program and enjoy your work computer. If not,

    1. Follow steps 1 through 5 above to return to the System Configuration.
    2. Under Selective startup, uncheck also load Services.
    3. Restart the computer.
    4. Once it starts, run Carbonite.

It should now be resolved. If this is not the case, there is certainly a problem with either Carbonite or how Carbonite and Windows work together, and you should communicate with each other.

For further assistance, if this does not resolve the problem, then slowly run your normal programs one by one until the multibordure question once again. You have now isolated the program conflict! Congratulations!

  • What are the causes error Console report an error of TelemetryStopwatch every few minutes?

In debugging my JavaScript code, I find that the error Console is very useful. In addition to the errors in my code, it shows also the error messages on the other peoples code for sites that I opened. It is a little annoying, because I have to click 'Clear' of each time or to scroll to see my error messages.

To simplify things, I closed all the tabs and windows except my own window (without tabs) where I test my JavaScript program. All other error messages disappeared — except one. This isolated from rest message every few minutes in PINK (I guess that means it's serious) even when the window of my program is the only one open, without any label of:

    Timestamp: 14/12/12 11:47:39
Error: TelemetryStopwatch: key 'FX_SESSION_RESTORE_COLLECT_DATA_MS' has already been initialized
    Source file: resource://gre/modules/TelemetryStopwatch.jsm
    Online: 53

I clicked on the Source file (it is blue and underlined in the original) and jumped up to a list of the source of some of the files from the package of Firefox.app inside. Lines 52 and 53 as follows:

         Cu.reportError("TelemetryStopwatch: key \"" +
                        aHistogram + "\" was already initialized");

    Any idea that this is?

    -Gil

Hello gil, usually after a new installation of firefox ask you to help by sending performance data to mozilla. It's their own countries nicknamed 'telemetry', so the error you see is probably related to this feature.

According to #732874 bug that will be fixed in the next version of firefox. in case you want, you can also disable the collection and presentation of performance data in Preferences > advanced > general for the moment...

I tried chkdsk but who have not as well.

If Vista is bloated with a lot of applications, some applications/drivers can cause a problem in Win7.

You may need to reinstall Win7 with a clean install

    Hello.
I have a problem with the content of spam. Somewhere in the Fox appeared script that's choking me audio spam. Every 30 minutes he's playing an audio clip that is malicious. I can't find the settings as it eliminated. Now, I don't have any plug-ins and Add-ons strange that were not initially in the Fox, but the problem is there.
I use the Fox years. The problem, he had 1.5 months after Fox cleaning. If the problem can't win, I'll be forced to give up the browser, and I wouldn't.

Could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any improvement?

If the problem persists in Mode without failure, could reinstall you Firefox in this way:

    Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 38.0.5 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (2) close Firefox (if applicable).

    (3) to rename the program folder, either:

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

    Any improvement?

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins
