  We have developed a number of panels popup (with modal properties), in LabVIEW, which are called from a TestStand sequence to get information from and to the information to the user.

  However when running on the target hardware (TEN of LabVIEW and LabVIEW TestStand operator Interface) our popups in the FrontEndCallback are dislpayed correctly, but once we have selected and run a test sequence; the first popup (which is in the process template) is not dislpayed and the sequence is suspended waiting for an interaction operator with the popup.

  We know that the popup is called because if we open a Panel on the top of TestStand operator Interface (we used the control panel Windows XP but I don't know any other Panel has the same effect), then close the Panel (to force a refresh of the order) our popup is positioned there.  Once the first Panel was given this little kick start display, all other windows pop up is displayed correctly.

  It seems that it is a sort of order to update screen thing, which only affects the first popup once the TestStand operator Interface has received the focus.

  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

  You could try to call the Windows API to set the position of the popup panel.

  You could call user32.dll and use the SetWindowPos property to define thepanel position on the screen.

  Try it and see if it solves your problem.

  BTW: by disabling the connected standby battery also will show the time remaining not only the percentage of battery life. :-)

  You can do a search in the registry for Hstart and see if you can find and remove from the registry.
  Go to the search box start. Type Regedit.

  If you get a guest user account control, click Ok.
  Click on edit in the menu bar.
  Select search.
  In the look for box, type Hstart, and then click the next button.
  It will show you the research register.
  If it finds all entries, you can delete the key.
  The executable file is hstart.exe.

  Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk...

  Work with pop - up is not in the design of the framework. Which is a good design IMO decision - there's a reason why most browsers come with a blocker pre-installed popups; people don't like the pop-up windows. These things are really of the previous century. Everything you want to do if you want to use JSF, better to adjust your design for which is more in line with how does the framework. If you don't know what it is its time to buy a good book on JSF. This isn't something that you explain in a post on the single forum or even a blog entry really.

  Modern Web sites who want to imitate a "popup" without actually creating a popup tend to use a "floating div" for such purposes. • Creating custom shaped front panel

  I want to create a popup in personalized form (other than the rectangular shape). For this I created a green façade (0x00FF00) background color, placed the shape I want as a background image. Now the unnecessary part is in green. I then used a function of windows (USER32. DLL: SetLayeredWindowAttributs) to the green of the transparent color. It works for me, but the question here is that it takes time to become transparent. For a fraction of a second, the green color is visible to the user.   You will probably need to get it to keep the front screw closed/hidden until after he made the call to USER32.dll (and make that one of the first calls you make). • Hidden files remain hidden

  My wife has hidden some files on his desktop computer from Dell 755usff running Windows XP Professional SP3 and don't remember doing. When she opens a couple of his records, my photos / My Documents, she gets the following message.

  This folder contains the hidden files. If you want to select these files as well, enable the display of hidden files in Folder Options Panel.

  So we go to the control panel and activate the hidden file display option and... Get the same message when we open the folder again.

  Any suggestions as to what she may have done and how solve us this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  Sorry for the delay in responding. Registry was all fine and I got the files she had hidden using a recovery disk. She had hidden a couple of folders with pictures in there... :-)

• Acer aspire e17 options to advance bios where is it how do I unlock it

  Howdy all

  Just bought myself the e17 aspire and I use linux and program for android uses android studio that reqquires me to use VT enabled for their emulator.

  So I did a kvm - ok and here this is not enabled in the bios, so no problem, I went into the bios and NO ADVANCED OPTIONS either.

  First question is why?

  I guess for least developed it wise, but for us who need only option there should be a choice to allow him so we can use it and for all those who need to use a virtual machine, it wouldn't work without it.

  So the great qustion here is how the hell show this thing so I can't see the advance options menu in the bios.

  Even if there is a hex code which must be turned on (1) which is it?

  I can use ghex to this if necessary, but I absolutely need sound for my work and it's the first bios I've seen without an advance in option for the VT to activate it.

  So this slows me down now in my work because of this.

  I have to get this permit.

  Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance and please remember I do not use windows at all, it lasted about 8 hours before I almost nut with tons of shortcuts on the hull and normal user interface was not much better either, I use linux.

  I just need to activate the hidden pages in the bios the option should be there.

  lol as usual when it comes to linux no response from the support teams unless there for the weekend.

  in all cases I've seen there is a updated bios update ZQN_107 so I installed and updated the bios with freeDOS (linux only here) and there are still no advance or (still hidden) power option but at least it seems that you have the default VT so I can use the KVM for android studio so I guess I can mark it as RESOLVED now.

  Just thought I would update this for others who need to use VT or KVM

  I still want the options in advance and be able to be UNMASKED if possible.
