Popup says I need to install an e-mail program
When I try to send a document as an attachment I get a popup saying that I need to install an e-mail program, and if there already please create an association in the default programs control panel. In Control Panel, my only choice is to use my existing e-mail program. How can I associate a program from mail for Windows 7?

I can't install my HP Photosmart D110 printer. It says I need to install a driver. Any suggestions?
The HP Photosmart D110 printer is fully compatible with 32-bit and 64 - bit Windows 7 as indicated by the Windows 7 Compatibility Center on this page , but a free download is required for any operation. Report complete here.
You can get the drivers and software from the HP Support site updates by clicking here. Determine if you have a printer D110a or D110b, then specify if you have Windows 7 32-bit or 64 - bit. -
How to install an e-mail program to send stuff I scanned to photoviewer? Thank you
Could not find a way to send scanned documents via the Send dialog box says necessary to install the e-mail program, but I don't know how to... Thank you.
Save the scan on your HARD disk, and then simply attach to and email, any program you use. Like the piece attached a photo. -
How to install the aa mail program in Windows Photo Viewer
Can someone help me learn how to install a mail program in Windows 7 Photo Viewer?
Thank youDaveKen,
Thank you for your interest for my problem. Where I am is the following: I received a digital SLR Canon T3i and finally managed to upload images in the Canon Digital Photo Professional and then managed to create a record of some of these pictures on the desktop. These images are of a grandchild and his mother call wanting to know when I will be emailing them him every 5 minutes. I think I was wrong to use the term 'install' an e-mail program in Photo Viewer when I think now what he says "attach" a mail program. My frustration is not being able to understand Canon programs and also not being able to understand how to send images. I appreciate your interest and hope that I have answered your question.Thank you and a healthy and happy new year to you and your familyDave -
Installed Windows7 Enterprise (evaluation) 32 bits have a database custom (32 bit) when I press the close button, an e-mail icon in the taskbar - nothing happens with the program except the screen turns off, when you press the email icon it is an error message - there is no associated messaging program to perform the requested action. Install an e-mail program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel
There is no email function associated with the close button
using the close button of other windows in the work of database correctly.
TBird is installed and works well
Have solved the problem - the app was looking for a MAPI - outlook installed e-mail client and not more errors. Thank you much for the help

I just started having this extra window that says: "RECOMMENDED updates! It is recommended to install the software to make sure that your browser is the latest version. Please update to continue. "The link says: Rvzr - a.akamaihd.NET. I'm a little reluctant to touch anything because it never happened. In addition, I've doubled checked and my firefox is 28.0 isn't up-to-date. I even re-downloaded firefox to ensure, and I always get the pop-up window.
You're smart to be wary. You can check to see if an unnoticed add-on slipped? In particular, I suggest disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on page modules. Either:
- Command + shift + a
- Tools menu > Modules
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off.
Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
That get rid of the nagging dialog boxes?

Windows Vista version 6.0.6002
Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18828
Windows Vista is 32 bit Home PremiumRun Windows Update to get the latest update from Microsoft. Windows Update indicates that I need to download Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista.
Try to install it and it reports that "Setup cannot continue because a newer version of Internet Explorer has been detected on this computer." Result in the Code E windows Update encountered an unknown error.
Check under the "uninstall an update" to try to uninstall and reinstall Internet Explorer 8, however there is no "Windows Internet Explorer 8" in the list as a normal OS Vista would have.
So if Internet Explorer 8 is installed, so why Windows Update still trying to install it? And why is there no "Windows Internet Explorer 8" in "Uninstall update"?
I just use the standard uninstall to remove Norton. Before installing McAfee.
1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe
2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
3. click right on the file saved in #1 above, and then select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart & test.
Norton applications are notorious for not to uninstall "cleanly". If the "remains" of Norton are at the origin of the behavior, run the removal tool should solve the problem. Ideally, you should run this utility before installing the McAfee application so YMMV.

Am I being hacked from a website of popup saying I need to update my video player?
I've been on Fingerhut. com (first time) when a popup that has engulfed the entire page said that I had to update my video player and should be less than one minute, 10 seconds actually. He just didn't feel, so I googled and he came is a scam, at least I'm sure it's a scam, I moved my mouse over the button install and the link was helpingtrk.com/base2.php. I googled url and is came up with what I thought was a a forum page, but it was another page of the scam, the url that has been http://mediaupdate15.com/418888/?v1=1 & v2 = 1 & v3 = 1 AND when I looked in my 'history', that the link had a greyed link that has been http://za1.zeroredirect1.com/zcvisitor/a7c6b420-12eb-11e5-bbcf-0a936b024545 that appears in my cookies in gray.
I NEVER clicked on anything whatsoever on the pages, my question is, just being on these pages, I got my computer infected by a virus?
If you have not downloaded anything, then most likely you are not infected. But it is worth checking:
(1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This should help discover any install/updater that can push other unwanted software. Beware of everything that you don't recognize / remember, since malware often uses sounding names important or innocent to discourage you remove. Out as much garbage as possible here.
(2) very probably, it was generated by an ad in the site, but please check for bad just in case modules.
Open Firefox page modules using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
- in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
firefox.exe "about:addons"
In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions.
Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
(3) Finally, you can complete your security software regular with sweeping/cleaning of the tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.
