  I am trying to add switches cisco for the NAM, but I am not able to add the switch I get the error "unable to control switch" I tried opening ports 161-162 on the firwall; If I were to allow all traffic between the NAM and the switch, cisco NAM is able to add/manage the switch.

  Do not know what are the other ports may be required for cisco NAM for managing the switch?

  As far as I KNOW, only UDP 161 and 162 for SNMP communication ports must be open.

  Please make sure that you have configured the correct port on the switch:

  (config)# snmp-server host 172.16.1.61 traps version 2c cam_v2 udp-port 162 mac-notification snmp 

  If still does not, I would check the logs on the firewall for any traffic blocked between the cam and the switch.

  On my Satellite, I got the same message, but I just kept with upgrade.

  This remote will work, if you use it without any special drivers and special software, only in the Media Center.

  But if you install stuff like [WinLirc | winlirc.sourceforge .net] then you should be able to get some functions for your presentation.

  Please try this tool and check if it works.

  By the way: if I were you I would first read the manual and the WinLirc FAQ before you start because it s a little bit tricky to manage the program. :) (Too many parameters: D)

• WALKMAN NWZ-S545 gives error cannot start (error 10) device in the Device Manager (and not driver for this device found)

  Under Xp (sp3), Device Manager gives me an error for a Walkman NWZ-S545.  XP sees it as a MTP device, but it does not start.  The Device Manager will give me 2 error messages: device will not start (code 10) not and no driver not found for this device.  The walkman works very well with my other machines on the LAN XP but naturally one that I run my media (a all my MP3 etc.) is the one that has the error.  All of my PC are almost identical (with the exception of the server, duh).  I changed USB ports, uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, called SONY to dozens of times, nothing works.  Is a service not started that must be, a driver damaged, what?  Thanks for your help in advance.

  Y at - it a wireless remote for the AX-33 FDR that doesn't require that use a phone or other video device. I want a small remote control that allows me to zoom in and out with out having to use the phone. I want the video to display on the screen of the camera. I would go back to the meaning of the lens so I could see what is recorded when I'm in the video. Using the phone to zoom in and out is clumsy and abnormal looking when I'm in the video. With a little distance which may be hidden in hand with just the buttons zoom and the start and stop buttons would be preferable. Half the time when I'm in the video, the final result shows that I record, as well as what I recorded on my phone that is in the actual recorded video. ******!!!! This use of wifi on your phone to a remote is not convenient for what I need to do. Give me a small remote control like it used to be with the older camera!

  We suggest that you check the RMT-VP1K IR remote. You can set this with your tripod and connect the IR receiver to the Multi USB port on the camera and control it wireless using the Commander.

• How can I reinstall the Task Manager and monitor resource for Win 7?

  I saw a lot of similar questions to mine and problems are resolved for the most part because the person is running in mode 'tiny' in the Task Manager.  And, while the problem of the poster has been resolved, I must still be able to find an answer that actually answered the question: how to reinstall a task manager and resource monitor?

  I don't want to seem rude or obnoxious, but that's all I really need to know. Is it possible to reinstall the Task Manager and resource monitor and how - what is done?

  For a more easy, please take the following response,

  I am running Windows 7

  Parts of the the Task Manager and resource monitor will not run correctly (it isn't tiny mode, everything seems as it should be, they are just not all the work)

  I did a lot of research and analysis and virus check

  I do not have a file to restore good system (whatever the reason)

  I decided that I have to reinstall the program

  So my question is simple: how to reinstall a task manager and resource monitor?  I can't find a download for it on the Microsoft.com site file; Maybe it's there, but I'm not.

  Please don't bother spending time trying to figure what's wrong with my system, you will lose your time (this is the part where I'm really NOT trying to be rude, but I tell you the truth).  I did the analysis, controls, etc. etc.  I just need to reinstall.

  So please, could someone just tell me how to reinstall only the Task Manager and resource monitor.  I don't want to have to reinstall the whole system.  It seems to me that it is not necessary; It's only two programs.  It is possible and if so, how?

  I would like to ask you a few questions in order to get a better understanding of this issue so that we can better help you.

  (a) what version of Windows 7 use you?

  (b) what is the exact error message you are getting?

  Method 1: You can also try to perform a file system (scan SFC) verification tool. This tool will fix the system files are corrupted.

  Scan SFC enforcement procedure:

  1. click on the Start button

  2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

  3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

  4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

  5. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

  6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

  7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

  8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

  9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

  10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

  11. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

  Method 2: If this is a recent problem that has developed you can try to perform a system restore and check if it works very well.

  To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

  2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next

  3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next

  4. click on finish

  Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

  Method 3: you can try to start safe mode and restore the system, if you are unable to do it in normal mode.

  For a safe boot, you can follow the below given steps:

  1. remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

  Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

  2. do one of the following:

  a. If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

  b. If your computer has multiple operating systems, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.

  When you are in safe mode, follow the steps mentioned above to complete the restore of the system.

  So Im STILL, try to install windows 7, but honestly I am beginning to have some sort of fear. Its asking me to uninstall the ATI catalyst Manager and ATI catalyst control center. I was able to uninstall ATI catalyst not Manager control centering forest. I was wondering that if I have to reinstall them back and if so, how to do this. Is that going to affect my laptop, I seriously can't afford a new computer laptop im a student on a budget tight.   It is not possible to monitor and administer a basic physical or logical standby, IE using Enterprise Manager Database Control Data Guard.  This is mainly due to the fact that Database Control is designed to monitor the 1-database and an environment Data Guard, by definition, includes more than 1 database.

  If you attempt to run emca against a database of pending, you will get an error like (i.e. ORA-01219: database is not open).

  Of course, database Control, can be used to monitor the current main database (with no capacity to administer or control Data Guard related features).  In such a case, failover Database Control needs to be reconfigured to run on the new primary database using the commands described in detail in Note 278100.1 how to remove, create and recreate DB Control In A Database, section c. recreate/ReConfig DB control, Option 2 10 g. recreate the control DB Configuration files and repository.

  Enterprise Manager Grid Control or Cloud control provides the functionality for display, monitor, and administer the primary and standby databases in a Data Guard configuration.
