Hi all, thanks for your help in advance.

I have baught a new laptop of hp2000-2c29wm and the love machine.  HATE win 8 on this subject. I installed win 7 pro 64-bit on the machine but can not find the drivers anywhere. I checked the hp site and come alone with 1 BIOS update, 2 diagnostic updates for UEFI, tools-utility software-multimedia and 1 1. I need drivers for audio, display, wireless, ethernet, the whole shebang. have tried a little around the net with no luck. tried the instrument manufacturer sites with no luck.

Maybe my research have failed. I'm about to return the machine.

  • Pavilion Dv6 & HP2000 computers laptops: order windows restore discs

Help!  I have 2 laptops I want to reformat and reinstall Win 7 (64 bit). I have a copy of Windows 7 on both, but in my last shot of some books of office and folders disappeared, and Yes, my folders with installation for most of my software discs are not found.

I have the product key Win for both, I wonder if I can order real HP install disks to reinstall the drivers specific to each laptop and the O.S.?  Is it too late to get always the disks for Win 7 now that Win 10 is fashionable?  I really like the stability that I receive in Win 7... These 2 laptops are runnin strong, but it's time to do my rag and reinstall processes to clear the em!   :-)

Please direct me if there is a place where I can place this order and thank you all!

    -Mooz marty

Sorry you had such a difficult time there!

You can try to run the system recovery method in the Recovery Manager program, or F11 invites.

It shouldn't work in other than to use the recovery discs.

In case you still want the disks, you can order them from this provider no HP as well.

The cost should not be a lot more than if you order at HP (which seems to be problematic).

  • To retrieve a different recovery Cd to a same HP2000 model HP2000.

Two years ago, I bought two HP2000 329WM laptop for my two college students of age. Of course, neither a fact DVD recovery kits, and they have rarely bothered to save. My son's hard drive just crashed, then put in a new hard drive and a start to reconstruction, but I see two teams 1 - no key set 2 - software His recovery is not readable to use his laptop computer as a laptop (helloh!) while wearing shorts. Sweating clears ink not expensive Microsoft uses to print the labels.

My question: I made a recovery in the value of the computer of my daughter she uses very slightly in recent years. Can I use this recovery set for my son's computer after you replace the hard drive? His computer will become an exact clone of my daughter's computer, or get only a return to the factory settings operating environment?

If all else fails, and it must buy the rcovery set directly at HP, the inability to read the software key label will become a problem to restore the computer?

    Your impressions are greatly appeciated.

Yes you can use the recovery of the other machine.

Your new hard drive must be the same size or larger than the original. You will find yourself with a copy of that computer, but you should be able to start to recovery, & a system restore to the State nine factory.

runs aground, you can buy the recovery cd & No. must grasp the key will be the license through slic certificates related to the bios of the machine.

If windows 7 you can visit the links & license help in discussions below as an alternative.

  • HP Pavilion 17 Laptop: laptop, usb external speaker iHome and HP Pavilion 27 x 1

I have a HP Pavilion 17 laptop (Windows 8.1, x 64, AMD A8) and a HP Pavilion 27xi monitor connected to the laptop via HDMI.  Because the monitor has no Audio, I connected an external speaker from iHome usb/bluetooth to the laptop using the connection of headphones and usb connection.  It was scientifically and all was good until I installed an HP Support Assistant update (there were 2) - no sound so back to the restore point.

I then installed 1 of the recommended updates (there were 2) and tried again.  Not ring again, so I disconnected the HDMI monitor and rebooted the laptop and got her through the speaker iHome. reconnected the monitor and the noise stopped. If I disconnect the monitor, the external speakers work fine!

NO idea what to do.  I want the monitor (eyes do not reach 70 years but like the portability of a laptop).  Any help would be appreciated.

Hope someone can help or help me find a solution (apart from the one I found) to get my screen sound and my PC.  Buying another monitor is not an option!

    Thank you

    @yanceyg,

Hello and thank you very much for posting.  For the most part, I think if it's not broken don't fix it.  The restore point and then do not run update again.  If the system worked great before the update fails after that means that updates are causing a conflict in the system.

If there are updates available is not something that needs to be done unless you've met material which emits the updates correct.

The next option is to go and manually remove the drivers for the sound and HDMI support.  Do this safe mode.  Enter safe mode by pressing F8 at startup.

In safe mode, you can remove the drivers and then start again under windows with the drivers passed then perform updates and see if they play with them right here.

Please let me know how things are going.

Thanks again for posting and have a great day.
