POS and OES
Dear guys,
I would like to request backup to the top of my VM OES (500 GB) with POS on a stand of the host and the client to have a virtual machine recovered in 3 hours.
I thought a full backup and incremental backups every 2 hours.
How long do you think that would take the restoration (the 2 hosts are in the same network) and you have an incremental backup of all 2 hours is ok?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Daniele
If you have enough disk space... 2 TB with (thick provisioning) should give better performance
Otherwise, you can always deploy device 2 TB but choose a provisioning.
Yes. VM backups will be stored on the disks in the unit.

Hello, all!
We seek to 4 POS and/or 6.1 to add to one of our piles of VMware. It is a new battery, running vSphere 5.5.
Our production inherited stack running Veeam Backup and replication to handle these chores. One of the things we needed to do was to make the limitation in Veeam, so we would not soak the MPLS connection between our two datacenters of bandwidth.
POS has the ability of bandwidth of butterfly by itself, or should I do this with the router/switch/firewall limitation?
Thank you!
Gregg
POS doesn't have the ability to make the throttling built in. You can throttling when POS is the use of a data field.

RIB vs AppWorx (integration between Oracle POS and RMS)
Hello
We ' r buy Oracle POS and RMS (included, ReSA, RTM, RPM, Back Office, Central Office of the Oracle oracle)...
Oracle salesman told us that all the foregoing is what we need to have a complete integration of the software at retail...
now... after the arrival of consultant, he said that we must buy AppWorx (tasks scheduler software) to another provider. We got him confused.
can someone help us please explain what is the difference between SIDES vs Appsworx.
How are the data transferred between Oracle POS to Central Office (RMS, CO).
How data are transferred to the finances of the oracle (is this handle by RIB? or appsworx)...
is there documentation that will help clarify this issue.
If we don't buy of appworx, what is the impact?
Thank you and best regards
aanHi Aan,
Regarding your question
RMS of BO/POS/CO/SIM is done partially on the lots and the COAST (SIM).The flow of data from RMS to SIM occurs mainly through SIDES (this includes transaction data). But there are still a few batch programs like dataseeding (- who will get the data from the RMS Foundation to SIM-). SIM activity at certain times there are direct API calls to STORE COMMANDER (-in which RSL comes in to the picture)
Data transfer between RMS and POS/BO/CO is via DIMP (data import) which is done through spring. Inequality as point (from RMS) and the price (from RPM) is divided on these systems through DIMP.
And for the sales data to flow to RMS, ReSA integration must be done (so that RTlog files will be treated by ReSA and update in RMS will also happen through POSU files. The stock SIM update will happen with resaparser)
You can find more details on the implementation/operations guides

What is the difference between POS and VSC? Which should I use?
Hello
Turns out we have a multitude of backup running for our virtual machine environment. We lack vCenter 6.0, 6.1 VDP, VSC 6.2P1, SnapManager for SQL and SnapMirror jobs put in place in OnCommand 3.1.2.
I go crazy trying to pierce the need to have all these products running of backups and snapmirroring data. Bottom line, our SnapMirrors for one or two Volumes take f o r e v e r... And that impacts my tests of SRM (when you use the replication of data).
I'm trying to clean up, he perfected down, consolidation, re-scheduling and friction on all these solutions. And in the middle of my panic, I thought that "these all do essentially the same thing? Taking snapshots and SnapMirroring data? »
So, my question to the community is, what is the difference between these solutions, or are they all essentially do the same thing? They confront each other, vying for the band width and stumbling on them to achieve the same thing? Right now my plan is to suspend all work of everything except VSC and SnapManager for SQL and do all this from VSC. This means suspend jobs in NetApp services.
I'm not the admin for POS, it is my co-worker, so he who installed independently of my work. Is it still necessary?
What brought me to all of this, besides the failure of MRS to transfer data (SnapMirror on request within a reasonable time) was noting the deltas for our work of snapshot is always huge at certain times of the day. For example, our biggest pork of data has a light snapshot at midnight, and he is constantly 71GB. This leads me to believe that this is a job, because it is predictable. The net effect is SnapMirror jobs take days, latency are several days and transfers has never really stop.
We plan to upgrade our pipe between our protected Site (HQ) and our DR Site (branch) of 50mbps at 100 Mbps. We have 100 out of our headquarters and 50 in our satellite TV right now, so we want to both be 100. Maybe that would solve the issue, but I still would be pretty effective.
If you need more information, let me know and I will fill you, or less make up something so I look like I know what I'm talking about.
TIA!
Steve
The reason why you do SnapMirror replication is DR. It is not a backup solution. If you stop all your SnapMirrors in OnCommand Unified Manager and your storage array, the production goes down, you no longer have a DR.
What does VSC is, it creates snapshots of your NetApp volumes, you can use for short term backup/recovery. The snapshots are not a real backup solution, however. If someone deletes a volume on the NetApp snapshots of this volume will not save you because they no longer exist. But they are still useful in many scenarios, such as Previous Versions of Microsoft CIFS options.
SnapManager aims to make consistent snapshots of demand for software such as MS SQL in your case. Instant database do not give you this ability, as they do not trigger the VSS suspension. More SnapManager for SQL gives you point in the ability to recover in time for your databases to SQL transaction logs, which provide none of the solutions above. However, as SnapManager creates snapshots, you must make sure that you have dedicated LUN for you SQL VM, otherwise you will be taking snapshots of the same volumes twice.
And now VDP makes backups of your environment. It supports long-term retention, as snapshots in general are not kept for more than one week or one month. Make sure that the data are stored on a separate volume from where are your virtual machines. Or ideally to a destination that is external to your storage group.
Hope that clears things up a bit. The result is, what you have is perfectly fine.

How can I configure POS with VLAN?
PS: Sorry for my English.
Hello
Why try you tag VLAN in the unit?
Why you do not configure the VLAN to the portgroup to map network application uses?

OAAM and OES in the same domain
Hi all
I am trying to create a domain with OES and OAAM (11.1.1.5). I create the domain with the OES and OAAM admin server and the server. After you create the domain that I can start and the connection in all that features OAAM, but I could not enter the console OES because I didn't set up. So, I set up the OES usgin configureOESAdminServer (servertype = "DB_ORACLE"), as is indicated on documentation of OES and after restarting the admin, oaam_admin and oaam_server, I get errors on the oaam_server and the oaam_admin, because of this error the status of applications oaam_admin and oaam_Server are omitted.
Anyone know what could be the problem here? and if it is possible to create a domain with these two products?
Thank you

Vista goes to 50% CPU usage and connects the computer for hours after the beginning
Original title: Vista processor
Stupid Vista goes to 50% CPU usage and connects the computer for hours after the start. Cannot run anything with any request of CPU without getting bogged down and crashing. It is not windows defender, I suspend this service and the machine is ok for another 1/2 hour, them I'm up to 50% of the CPU. The idle process said Task Manager is > 90%, still indicates 50% CPU usage and the cooling fan looks like a 747 taking off. Should I just pull the machine and go for Linux, or what? Cannot run games or whatever it is, totally disgusted with vista of POS and microsoft can it Deep and do not get windows 7, it is probably worse. Is that all I can turn off to get the same performance than, say, windows 3.1? It would be preferable to the current situation. MSCKMA.

(Redirect) Please help with issue of source POS
My son is in jail and I would like to make a visit to home video with him, but I can't because of a stupid source vdp problem. Facilities support told me that my camera does not know what video source to use. When the camera is in place and you click on settings, there source POS and a built-in Webcam. They say it should only be a device listed in there. Until I get this is correct, I can't visit with him. I took my laptop to a repair shop and he had no idea how to remove it. What I did research, it has something to do with Bluetooth, which I don't use. Can I uninstall it and solve the problem? I already turned off Bluetooth, but that did not help. You can provide ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

4506E Core and 2960S access IP Camera System switches
Hi all
I implement my first Cisco network and needed a little guidance. Here's the scenario and I wish that it works:
- 2960S access switches will have cameras IP PoE and POS stations connected to them with the core fiber uplinks.
- 4506E central office switch will have all the switches connected to the fiber SFP uplink ports access. All fiber optic cables are single mode with LC connectors.
- All the cameras IP PoE and the other the camera server NETWORK card will be the 172.16.0.0/16 network and in case of default Vlan 1.
- All computers of end users and a NETWORK card in the camera server will be on the 192.168.1.0/16 network and Vlan 2. 2 VLAN is needed as the main switch.
- All stations of POS and stand-alone server POS will be on 192.168.20.0/16 and Vlan 3 switch network access and the base.
- It will be a completely closed network, no internet access.
- Computers end users will access video server with raids unicast.
- All switches interconnect fiber SFP transceivers of 1 GB.
- VLANs are not to communicate with eachother, just need to Vlan 1 and 3, be passed on to the switch base. It will be setting ports in the trunk switchport mode correct?
- I gave all the devices static IP networks, with the exception of IP cameras that will get the IP Address of the DHCP server.
- When I plug in a device of watt PoE 15.4, is the port set to auto detects by default so it lights camera or manually activate PoE on the port?
-I have to run DHCP on central switch, only on the default Vlan 1 172.16.0.0/16 network so my IP cameras can obtain an IP address.
IP dhcp pool cameras
network 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0
default router 172.16.0.1
-On the PoE IP camera and POS station ports I think following configuration:
switchport mode access
spanning tree portfast
I would like to know what you think. I have a few weeks before they must go to the production. Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated!
I will be checking periodically the thread and display updates.
Yes I see!
So with each carpet use "port 1' for each channel.
for example
If we have a stack, there that a single etherchannel, should therefore be port-channel 1 (the first 6). This could bind to the 4500 to Portchannel 1
When we have the second battery, it will also be an etherchannel, which is the port-channel 1 (the first 6).
This could bind to the 4500 on Portchannel 2
and so on... The port-channel number is locally meaningful only so you don't meet for loops if its configured as suggested, etc...
This way you can keep it simple and you will have ease of management in this way.
No, there is no point linking medical examinations to configure
Hope it makes sense.
Please evaluate the useful messages, & mark as answer questions thank you.

Well my daughter has an Acer (POS) and it came with Vista 32 bit.
I'd like to get this dog-slow Vista 32 bit machine upgrade to Win 7 64 bit.
The problem: I KNOW that it's A CLEAN INSTALL... How to import all of its programs, products and existing serialized, such as Office 2007, etc.
Is there a method to retrieve all the entries in registry etc? Call the MS Helpline for the new series/key numbers?
In other words is that this will be one of those, "I want TO NEVER, I STARTED THIS PROCESS' events?
Thanks in advance...
Hello dave-tek-nerd
You can try to use Windows Easy Transfer utility. It backs up your data, and your settings. However, for the applications you have to reinstall. Assuming that the Acer system came pre-installed with Microsoft Office and other specialized software, you will need to ask Acer media. To use the Windows easy transfer tool click on the link below. It includes a video tutorial as well as the download link to the tool. Thank you. -

iSupplier portal and OSN - what is the difference
Hello
What is the difference between portal and provider network Oracle iSupplier? I know it's a basic question, but I read the documentation on the Oracle website but am unable to get a good understanding of these products.
We are a company purchasing and in the early stages of assessing the options to optimize our procurement process.
At a high level, I realized the following: Please correct me if I'm wrong.
1 NSO integrates with Oracle EBS. Suppliers would register and log on NSO and view/confirm POs, create invoices etc. As EBS buyers we would send POs and pull the Bills of NSO
2 iSupplier Portal integrates with EBS. Providers register and log on to the portal and do something similar. As buyers, we would do something similar.
So what is the difference and what product is used when?
If anyone can take a moment to explain I'll greatly appreciate.
Thank you
iSupplier allows the purchase and provision of organization to exchange news PO, PO changes, recognition, ASN/ASBN etc. but not write information in the system of the supplier by itself.
NSOS not only exchanges of information but written in both purchasing and supplier systems.
