• POST show different screens and no customization after repair?

  Hey guys,.

  I have an Alienware Laptop, 17 and it was recently repaired. Before it was repaired the POST was really clean. He showed the alienware without progress bar and then booted Windows logo.

  Now, after repair, it first shows a black screen, then a list of recognized drives and watch then the logo alienware with a red progress bar. Also, the 8 Windows loading screen is resized as if the resolution is lower.

• Satellite S955 starts not to POST and black screen

  Hello

  I have a problem with my s955 (14 months). He is not able to start more. When turned on, I hear only the cooling fan spins up and down and nothing more. The last time, it took almost half an hour to work around this failure. When turned on it shows no problem at all. When you stop it is better to pray. It now seems to be missing. After an hour, I see no sign of life except cooling fan activity.

  I went through all the stuff mentioned in another forum of Toshiba as turned off, remove the battery, keep and maintain the power button for at least 60 seconds. I even replaced the RTC internal Li - ion, but without success. Because it is not covered by warranty more I opened it. No sign of didn't burn except a suspicious oxidation of some contacts.

  I contacted Toshiba Italy (even if it is a U.S. model.) and I expect a possible answer next week. I ran out of the possible solution except replacement of mobo. Is there anyone around who has the same problem? Could you please give me a help?

  Hi, not Toshiba Italy news but I found a Toshiba authorized service workshop that may solve this problem. It seems that, beyond other speculations, the problem may be issued by the fuse of power mainboard (read this answer interesting of maxtek73 [http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Batteries-and-Power/My-Toshiba-Satellite-Laptop-Will-Not-Turn-On/m-p/584008#M11147] at the end of the post). It seems reasonable. In fact, keyboard, dvd player, charge battery, hd, and cooling fan are powered by the motherboard. It seems that there is not enough current to pass initial tests before POST. This could explain why the cooling fan trying to run at maximum speed, but he can't. I had to remind that to turn on, no equipment TI push fans at max speed and then slow down to normal speed before entering the POST process. I'll have a conversation with the technician of the workshop and I'll keep you in the loop.

• "Post work site" screen that appears when the computer is started

  I just bought a computer and after having turned it on, I have 4 windows to appear on my screen and I can't seem to get their past:

  (1) X:windows\system32\cmd.exe-startnet.cmd--> within this window is written windows\system32 > wpeinit

  (2) X:windows\system32\cmd.exe

  (3) STRIP Workstation build 60--> this window asks me to enter a user Installer ID and PW, an install server, select a category of workstation (remote BAND Colocated, BAND strengthened, band, BAND SSWB)

  (4) paper packaging--> says 'collection building Info '.

  I see a possible Bank of America Logo background is the upper right corner, this computer is refurbished, but does that mean I can't ignore such things and get started? It won't let me shut down screen #3 until I get a username and ive treid to make things for the field, but he will not accept them.

  Any suggestions?

  EDIT: also, I wanted to ask a few other questions:

  1. You mentioned that you thought that this machine has been renovated.  Where did this come from?
  2. Using Windows PE in your environment?

  If this machine was purchased just, it seems that there are traces of its former owners out there.  As is the case, you should probably format the machine and reinstall Windows later.

• e-mail message opens always mode full screen

  I use OS X Yosemite in a big iMac. My OS X mail after upgrade to Yosemite, now always opens my posts in full screen. It is very embarrassing and difficult to read and write because of the size of the screen. I'm not using the full screen as shown in the view menu. Answering machine to another similar to users with Maverick problem suggests to hit the OPTION, command + F, but that does not answer for me.

  the green button full screen, hold down the option key and click.  This allows the application fill the entire screen (not the same full screen)

  You can enter any corner of the APP a sliding window size that suits your needs.

• Mac pro (end 2013) forget screens - 6 monitors

  I have a 6 monitor Setup, with different resolutions 3 x 1080 p + 2 x 2160 x 1440 p p + 1. On most days things work very well!

  I only put the display to sleep. When I wake up the screens I often lose the position of windows, if anyone has a suggestion would be great, but this isn't why I created this post. My real problem is that lately, with Yosemite, the Mac Pro was forget a monitor or two, as in 4 or 5 of the 6 monitors turning on, it is pretty boring because the only way I found to fix it is to restart (several times), having thus everywhere reconnect.

  System Preferences-> display-> Option + Detect poster tent, but the success

  Monitor Off, then on does not work, same behavior

  * Tent, but without success means that the monitor turns on, says no signal then goes back to the stand-by

  * I had to use the "Mini to Dual-Link DVI adapter DisplayPort' in the light of the 6th monitor, she lit up not otherwise

  On the this Mac-> poster SEES SIX SCREENS

  So, the system sees the monitor, I can move windows, it just does not shine there.

• Aurora-R3 post with an ATI 5750

  My r3 came with an nvidia gtx 560ti. I want to run 3 monitors 1 card, so I tried to install an ati 5750 diamond that worked in my xps 630i.

  Once installed, I turn on the machine. It starts on startup, white screen, no bios screen or alien head. I hear the beep that comes after the post. The screen lights up. But I see is a cursor in the top left is flashing.

  I went through all the Bios for similar cards, until I found one that worked. MSI. I flashed the bios on my power color inherited

  Now my Aurora R3 boots with an AMD 6870 (shot of an Alienware Area 51) in the primary and the re-flashed 7770 in high school.

  Just tested. the system works very well with the 7770 with this BIOS.

  With the Aurora was starting the VBIOS. The hybrid UEFI BIOS for AMD/ATI cards has prevented initialization, once a good VBIOS inherited for the card was flashed the 7770 was able to start (I found no 5750 bios do it start again, but I'm guessing it's there...)

  Right, you want to leave autoplay works to start layering. Otherwise, the user will need to type to start the overlay and view YouTube poster and then tap again to play the video.

  Another way to think of it there are 2 posters: a poster of load and a poster of YouTube. Load poster prevents the screen black while Flash as the superposition of loads (and it is displayed in navigation mode). The YouTube poster with the red arrow is that users press to start the video.

  If you don't feel like it, stream videos to a Web site rather than from YouTube.

  You change the stylesheets on a separate Thread (and not the FX Application thread), which is not allowed because it breaks the JavaFX threaded model. I highly doubt that it is the origin of the problem of memory (although it can, in theory).

  There was some memory leak problems in JavaFX 2.x associated with adding and removing the leaves of style and parent nodes. Have you tried to run this code in 8 JavaFX? There the same problems? You can also try to set the style sheet on the stage instead of the scene root pane.

  Either way, there is no need to implement all the ugly coupling of your Application class with the controller class. You can inject the defined root pane in the FXML directly into the controller by specifying a fx:id on this subject:

• "Name and password" setting does not

  I just installed Mavericks (charges) on my MacBook Pro (2012).

  I have configured my settings as I am prompted to type my login and my password, DO NOT to display a list of existing account, however, it does not effect, I am prompted with two of their icons and user accounts (mine and invited), when I click on one, I'm then prompted for a password.  No idea why?  It does not work on my Mac Pro with the same settings, so I don't know why it doesn't work on my MacBook.

  Is there a reason that you upgrade to El Capitan? When Sierra released this fall, Mavericks will not receive more security updates. Also a lot of new applications will require Yosemite or El Capitan to install.

• For these last days, Firefox was freezing after I open it without even reaching the homepage - grateful for any light you can throw on this!

  I don't seem to be able to put a screenshot in this post but the screen is basically more often black. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, to no avail. He suddenly began to do last week. Is there something I can do to put it right? I'm running a 64-bit Dell laptop if that's any help?

  Is working in normal mode with hardware acceleration disabled?

  If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

  Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)
