power adapter light turns off after plugging in the Inspiron notebook (5523)

I have an Inspiron 5523, and it was working fine, until early today. I went to plug the thing to do, and it would not charge. Instead, the light on the power supply unit to the adapter stops, or would flicker. This happened with 2 load cables. I'm looking at a motherboard dead, or something else?

Hello N108bg

Please write to us.

If the light on the adapter stops when it is connected to the machine, we look at a dead motherboard.

Let us know if the system is under warranty, we will have repaired.

I recently bought a replacement battery for my Toshiba Satellite running Windows XP. I started the new charge battery and removed the computer AC adapter to make sure that the battery was functional. However, when I plug the AC adapter in, the backlight is out.  If I restart Windows, the backlight turns on, but if I disconnect/reconnect the AC adapter, the backlight is turned off again. So, the backlight works, but for some reason, she turns to disconnect the AC adapter.

  • Alienware 14 system went off after plugging in the AC adapter in, smelt burning?

    Hello

I was testing an Alienware 14 system that went off after plugging in the AC adapter in, smelt burning? She start fine and when I tried to connect the input ca it off with a burning smell.  I tested the adapter and is fine, the burning came from inside. I'll open it up when I had the chance.

Everybody had that happening and what you think may of burning?

The power supply connects directly on the motherboard. I suppose that, given the sequence of events that the motherboard is fried. Tell us what you learn to be the problem and how you fixed it.

  • 10GBase-T module lights turn off after turning the power on switch

I have a pc6248 with the latest version of the firmware and a 10gbase-t module which lights do not go after turning on the switch.  But if I do a "reload", the module lights turn off and works normally.  So there's something about switching on the switch that causes the module lights stay on and the module is not connect or traffic through until I do a 'reload '.  I have another module that works normally in the switch, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the switch.  Has anyone else seen elsewhere?  Clues about what can happen?  Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I see, unfortunately there isn't really anything that can be done of these modules. No update of the firmware or something like that.  Having two of the same exact module, 1 works and 1 does not work, indicates a problem with the module. Is the module a recent purchase? If so, you can get toggled.

With the defective module installed, if you issue a shutdown command and then a no shutdown interface command, behavior change at all?

  • Debug mode turns off after clicking on the button

    Hello

I am using the Debug Mode in order to track down a problem, but when I click on an application button on a page in debug mode is disabled so I don't get the debug output that I'm after.

In short, I do the following:

    (1) changing the page in the Application Builder
    (2) by clicking on the button "Run" to run the page
    (3) by clicking on the "Debug" button to activate the Debug Mode. The page is redisplayed with the release of debugging among the elements of the page then.
    (4) I then type some text in some fields in a form region and click on a button in the same region to create a record. The same page then reappears, but the Debug Mode is now disabled.

Then I tried something similar using the schema of example COMMAND under the user name and a different workspace, and this time in debug mode is stayed on until what I turned off it explicitly.

Is there something I need to do to keep active Debug Mode?

    Kind regards.

    John.

    John,

The branch set on the page determines if the current value of & DEBUG. is used in the URL redirected to. In principle, which would not be resolved. You would have to edit the branch (and make a f? p URL with & DEBUG or debug position YES.)

  • HP DV6-6B25TX turn off after 10 to 15 seconds, regardless of the power of the battery or power supply

    Hello

MY DV6-6B25TX is cutting off after 10-15 seconds, regardless of the battery power or AC power.

Here's the complete scenario of what happened in recent weeks:--

Two weeks back I was using the laptop with the power adapter is plugged in for charging, the battery got charged up to 99% then it stopped charging and display the battery icon text, "plugged in, not charging".

A return of the week, the battery was 20%, after plugging in the charger, always the same message "Plugged in, no charging current".

Now the laptop does not meet the key power when the battery is inserted.

If I remove the battery and back again, it starts without pushing the power button and turns off after 10 seconds, well before Windows starts.

She stops even on the Bios screen, OS is not definitely the question.

When I plug in charger and press the power button / stop, the same thing, i.e. starts and shutts off after 10 to 15 seconds, regardless of the BIOS or Windows startup screen.

I removed the ram and but again, but the problem still persists.

Also there is no issue of overheating due to dust, as I've barely used the laptop for a few hours, the phone is about 6 months and under warranty.

    Please advice ASAP.

    Thanks in advance.

Honestly, something prevents the battery charge. Computer laptop closing seconds after that reinsert the battery is a good indication the battery just is not getting charged. This could be a battery failure, charger, port, or in rare cases of charge motherboard.

Since it's under warranty, I recommend you contact HP support that there is no easy solution for this on the forums. It's a hardware problem.

  • The computer screen does not turn off after the specified power Options

I tried several ways on trying to turn off my monitor of my laptop through the options of food and the use of some applications such as nircmd but nothing works every time. I'm sure it can be a program I am not using a device. I have a wireless mouse plugged into a USB port, but I know that's not what is keeping the PC awake, as always happens when it is not plugged. The thing that bothers me is I don't know how to identify this process shut off and I tried to put end as many process I can safely or those that I am knowledgeable in the subject to close. I would really like this feature back. Thanks in advance for the answers and ask if all the details are needed.

I understood what was the 'problem '. It turns the screen of my laptop never turns off if my laptop is installed on a sloping surface, because it assumes that I'm working on it. When I went to bed my laptop on a flat level surface, is power does work normally, as reduces the brightness of the screen to the bottom, then turns off after a while. I guess it must be a form any a single function on my laptop. Thanks for all your answers.

  • Y450 screen turns off after 5 minutes, set to never power settings

The display on my Y450 turns off after 5 minutes if it is connected or not. I changed the power settings on all levels of the power to never turn off the display, but he keeps doing. I thought that maybe it had something to do with windows is not fully updated so I did it earlier today, but it has not changed. It doesn't matter whether the system is energy saving, balanced or a custom.

I don't know what to do to stop it, but it's annoying when I play videos and turn the screen on every 5 minutes. Is there another program I'm missing that somehow overrides the power settings?

You may also need to change the power settings for the windows power management and lenovo power management.

We also know, that the problem persists only watch movies?

Hello, I am from Jakarta, Indonesia
I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite M200 Notebook (running Windows 7 Home Premium)

After I press the power button to the top of my laptop, it works fine display BIOS and Windows startup screen.
but after that my monitor off all of a sudden when Windows is supposed to show the login screen.

    Sometimes, the monitor doesn't turn off, but shows a lower resolution (I don't know exactly what resolution, 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600, i use maybe 1280 x 800)
so the only thing I can do is, press the power button to stop bad then press power again turns on, my monitor works normally
try to stop and then turn on again in a few hours later, problems still comes once.

Three months ago, I just brought my laptop to the local Service Center of Toshiba and bought the new motherboard to replace my old mobo (which have a VGA problem too!)
Is there something I can do (related to Windows or driver/software) or I can bring my notebook at the center of service again?
are they somehow an incorrect wiring when replacing my motherboard?
and am I need to replace my battery too?

I use this laptop for about a year and a half and there is nothing wrong with my battery before replacing the motherboard

any help would be appreciated :D

    Hello

Talk about your screen, the a graphics driver causes this malfunction with resolution and turn off. Go to the page of the toshiba driver and download the correct Vga driver for your model. I see, you are running Windows 7, if there is no driver for win7, try the vista driver.
On your power supply, you have used for the year and a half and he is released in 20 minutes, there is nothing strange. It's standard for power supply operating period, need to be replaced. Just to be sure, you can check with a new battery. You will see that the trick works as expected.

    Welcome them

  • Tecra 9100 comes on intermittently and turns off after 10-15 seconds

Referring to a Toshiba Tecra 9100, model No.: PT910E-602SF-FR

The power button normally doesn't light up at all, even if sometimes it starts normally, starts to load windows, then always turns off after 5 to 15 seconds in any case.

It always requires the batteries very well, but it won t turn on. I ve checked the ram, hard drive and I re - set the default bios - nothing prevents to cut if you can get it to turn on.

Any ideas what could be the problem? Any help appreciated, it s the second time I had - the same problem the last time!

    Thank you

    Hey,.

Have you already tried to clean the fan? Maybe a lot of dust blocking the fan for laptop can start t, and then turns off itself due to a higher temperature. It would be interesting to try to clean it.

But in my opinion, you've done everything you can do, and it looks like a malfunction of the motherboard. If cleaning using fan doesn t I think the motherboard is faulty or something else. If you are familiar with the disassembly of the laptop, you can try to fix it yourself with second hand parts. Otherwise it s time for a new laptop I think

  • Satellite A60-712 - turn off after 2-3 seconds

    Hello everyone.

I am trying to fix this Satellite A60-712; He came to me without feeder, but I found a compatible and it seems to work: CC in LED lights up and the battery starts to charge.

My problem is that this starts Mobile for awhile, radiator begins to turn, all the lights are normally, but, all of a sudden everything turns off after 2-3 seconds. I have observed that this machine has only one slot of free RAM and noted that it has integrated the module memory motherboard; that would be the problem? Or another reason?

    Could someone help me?
    Thank you.

    Hello

    > it came to me without feeder, but I found a compatible
Can you please test it with a Toshiba original AC/DC adapter? The same thing is happening?

If the laptop has already integrated memory motherboard there is no problem. Alternatively, you can use the laptop without additional RAM module.

In the worst cases, you need professional help of an authorized service provider. :(

  • Equiium series A - maintains turns off after 20 minutes

My laptop turns off after about 20 minutes of use. I checked for dust and clean battery etc. Any other suggestions? It has been suggested that I have to find and fix bugs in C drive but I don't know how - as any help much appreciated.

    Is what model laptop?

Dust in the heat sink is often the cause.
It can also be caused by a dry heat pipe (liquid escaped), or dried up CPU thermal grease or a failed fan.

Or its possible that the power adapter is faulty, or she cannot provide enough amps, or a power adapter non - Toshiba is used.

  • Computer Toshiba laptop turns off after 3 seconds

I can't understand what is happening with my computer, but I hope that this information will help you. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There are 3 computers involved. One is a Toshiba laptop Satellite L300D Vista I had in December 2008 and the other two are Toshiba Satellite M110 XP portable computers that we got in December 2006 I think.

The problem started with the Vista. It stops just one day and when I tried to turn it back on, it would show the Toshiba screen for a few seconds and then die. He was the life of the battery. Tried everything, could not, so I have restored the default computer. After it's on, I loaded my music in my external hard drive and a few days later, he crashed again. I restored it again and load my music back in, and then a few days later, he crashed again. Now when I try to restore it, it does not accept the restore disc. The hard drive flashes orange several times and the disc not spin fast enough to start doing anything.

I decided to forget the vista computer, I had a year and a half... And started using my xp computer is a few years old. I've ONLY used to browse Craigslist (after I started using it instead of my Vista computer for a few days, after that the Vista) and not load any music in there. This computer has worked since then, but about a week after the death of my vista, my xp now has the same problem. It turns on for a while and then turns off immediately. Since they are the two Toshibas, they can use the same chargers so I would use the charger that comes with the vista or another, that I got off eBay a few years ago. Been using two wires forever and then everything suddenly this question not sure that it of a problem with the power or not, but one thing I noticed was my vista computer would make a rattling noise from inside the computer only when has been plugged in the charger from eBay, and I noticed my xp making the same sound as that connected with the charger from eBay just before you die too.

My brother also has a toshiba satellite m110 xp laptop, and we tried a few things with the vista computer to try to make it work. A site offered to take the RAM and try to turn it on. Nothing that's happened. We took the ram from my brothers computer which works very well and put it in the vista. Nothing happened. We took the hard drive from her computer and put it in the vista and the computer DID start up (which was great cause I've not seen on in about a month) but it started up to a blue screen. Put us the hard drive in my brothers xp and the computer was working fine... For a few hours. Now the computer will not start correctly and we are trying to restore his computer but couldn't find the restore disc. Her hard drive was in my computer literally 15 seconds and his computer is now toast.

I don't care about my laptop toshiba satellite m110 xp, but I want a solution for my toshiba laptop satellite L300D vista, and I also want to get my brothers running again because I ruined. I don't know much about computers, but my guess is that there is nothing wrong with the ram or hard drives, but something else in my vista computer that is ruining the hard drives. That still doesn't explain why my XP computer is turn off after a few seconds suddenly well. The only thing that the Vista and my XP have in common, is that they used the same power cords (which always worked fine)

If anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction, which
would be AMAZING! Thank you very much for your time

If you have problems with the Toshiba recovery media, you will need to contact Toshiba.

    It's the Toshiba recovery process.

Each manufacturer has their own particular recovery process.

And as it is now failing to do recovery required, they would be the best people to contact about this.
