Power suddenly and restart window, what harm is it?

Yesterday, suddenly power off without any warning and the window reboot, I would like to know what is the possible cause.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions :>

Hello

Make and model of the unit?

To determine the malware has not invaded the system, reboot and start typing the F8 key to display the logo of the manufacturer

Select Mode safe mode with networking

Download the following and run a full scan

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

When finished, reboot and let Windows load

Windows XP restarts unexpectedly or restarts when you shut down the computer

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/320299/en-us

Bad RAM can cause the question - use of Memtest

http://www.memtest.org/

From the desktop right-click on my computer.

  • Click on the Properties option.
  • In the window of system properties, click Advanced tab or the Advanced system settings link.
  • In Advanced Options, click the settings button under Startup and recovery.
  • In the startup and recovery window uncheck restart it automatically to check.
  • Click Ok.
  • If the system generates an error, it will not automatically restart and display an error message - BSOD

Check for clerical errors Device Manager - they can cause the issue

Check PSU to make sure that all fans are working properly: overheating can cause the problem

Enter the BIOS - Reboot and press F1 or F2 (Boot - you may see a message press to enter in the BIOS setup) use the key of f # specified in the message to your device.

Once you get into the BIOS, leave the computer.  If the system does not restart during the configuration of the Bios and left sitting, you may have a problem with Microsoft Windows.  If after doing the above and you determine during the operation of installation of the BIos it's Windows, recommendation is to reinstall the Windows operating system.

I run windows vista on my pc, and every time that I turn it on, it just sits on the 3/3 update and will not progress. Even when I force my PC to power off and restart it, it continues to be. The first time he tried this update, I have dropped about 3 hours and returned to the configuration to update: stage 3 of 3-0% screen. Since it always happens. My pc is unusable because of this. What can I do?

.. .my computer came pre-installed with vista, so I do not have a disk

Not that I recommend a repair install, but the manufacturer was required to provide a way to reinstall Windows. If the computer came with a set of disks, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the restoration of the system) you would use to reinstall Vista.

Assuming that Vista SP2 is not installed, I recommend you open a free support incident, NIC. See the link in my previous answer. ~ Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (that is to say, mail, security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ WARNING: MS MVPs represent or work for Microsoft

  • 6 nine DC7900 CMT spontaneously power down and restart

    We just bought 6 new DC7900 Convertible mini towers. I rode 5 so far, 4 with XP and one with Vista. XP boxes have been spontaneously restart. Hereby I don't mean a normal shutdown and restart but they all of a sudden hard powerdown and start to begin. The Vista box has frozen and hard reset necessary. all but one of the boxes has the latest version of the bios, in other words, they are on the last or the bios before that, but they have the symptoms. The XP boxes display a message to save the Dump in the eventvwr, all with exactly the same message;

    The computer was restarted after a bugcheck.  The bugcheck was: 0x100000d1 (0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0 x 00000006, 0xb9e367d4). A dump was saved in the: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini022309-02.dmp.

The Vista box does not show a Mini Dump as fair, it froze.

HP support wants go me through all the normal checks that I do. I just wanted to know if anyone of you have seen what these boxes have been purchased for a quick fix, but turn out to be anything but! I bought HP for reliability but next time, I think that it will be under construction in the House unless they sort this fast!

    Thanks for your help

Personally, I do not believe that anyone should have to work on a new computer. HP would be on their way to take all of this if it was me. I better not make me started this topic.

Here's someone with a loved one or maybe the same problem. I note that the error code resembles the same numbers.

    Hello

It would be interesting to know, you have the code BSOD
I've read many threads on BSOD and in most cases, it s about the graphics card driver or other drivers who seems to be some trouble with Win 7.

First you need to update the BIOS and Windows 7, then you should try updating the graphics card driver.

    Good luck

    Hey Brian39

If you change the motherboard that you normally have to reinstall vista

your hard drive if you ever reinstalled vista contains the drivers for the old motherboard etc.

and if vista is pre-installed you can not put the motherboard unless you do so in collaboration with the computer manufacturer

If a retail license, you can change the motherboard

but you will normally always reinstall vista for reasons

    Hello

Most likely, there is a problem with the CD/DVD drive. You can burn a data disc when
don't use not WMP? Close all programs, put in a flammable disk and use the data method.
If burning a data disc works then you have any add-ons for WMP12?
