power upgrade HP Pavilion p7-1423w

Hello forum! I have a HP Pavilion p7-1423w.  Looking for a power supply that can accommodate more than one hard drive or SSD upgrade and more than one DVD/BD drive. Don't want to add maps. (Last inline adapter I had literally taken FIRE at HP and destroyed my previous PC!)

Anyone know any compatible feeds that I can use that come with earplugs, I am looking?

Also, if I add an SSD, is there anyway to have it run the operating system? (Do the primary drive?)

Thanks if anyone can help.

You are welcome.

Crucial makes good products.  However, I believe that Samsung SSD should work on your computer, too.  They seem to be one of disks to work best without changing the BIOS settings, other than the AHCI if it is not set.  You can contact the Technical Support for the brand you want to purchase to ensure that proper operation with your system.  I rarely buy components without checking first with the Technical Support from the manufacturer.  It saves money on returns.  They need the specifications of your computer.

    to i7?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi, Andrey:

Accroding to the specifications of your laptop, it comes with a processor AMD Turion X 2 Ultra ZM - 85 Dual - Core Mobile, correct?

If this is the case, you can not put an Intel processor in a laptop computer with an AMD processor.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

Support for AMD processors are listed in Chapter 1, page 1.

It would not be the time or the money to upgrade to one of the most numbered 2 processors as yours.

  • Upgrading memory Pavilion ZD8055US

What memory stick should be used to upgrade a Pavilion ZD8055US? They are 144 pins, 200 pins or 244-pin modules? The laptop is running XP.

    Hello:

The best thing to do is to run the free analysis tool of Crucial memory which will scan your PC and report what type and how much memory you can install on your laptop.

    http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/

Then you can order from them or buy memory elsewhere with the same characteristics.

  • Upgrade power supply s5510f Pavilion

I was wondering if there are any available for the Pavilion s5510f POWER supply upgrade.  He is currently leading an installed OEM 220 watt and I was looking to go to a 300 or 350 watts, if it does not fit in the case.  I know Compaq with he exact same narrated 5/6GL Board I have uses a 300 Watt.  I need to upgrade my graphics, like the nvidia 6150se just isn't cutting it.  I know that I can not any expansion on the power supply and 350 may be pushing; as I gave about tech HP apoplexy when I told him I wanted to switch the MOBO to a new case and go the one block of 450 Watt power SUPPLY.  He said that I have burn the Board upward.  I had never heard of the front, as same Pegatron shows the jury capable of using a 750 watt with her.  Hope you can help.

Reaction of the tech was a little over the top. A motherboard follows the same laws of electronics that apply to all other electric/electric devices. A motherboard will draw only as much current as it needs a power supply. It consumed the jury unless there is a circuit on the motherboard or a device that a failed.and draws too much current.

You may move it to a larger case. Slimline PC power supply upgrades have restraint of the size and configuration on them that standard PC speakers do not have.

  • Trying to find the plug and the power upgrade in a HP Pavilion Elite m9177c

First time posting here so I hope I chose the right place for my question.

I currently have a HP Pavilion Elite m9177c as a tempoarily computer until I can build my own. He was works fine but I found that this computer for all its good specs has only a 8500GT no idea why parent obtained through costco and gave it to use when my dell power supply gone bad and must be replaced.

So I chose an EVGA 9800 GT

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814130534

But I discovered that my HP probably has just one power 350 watts (checked online still need to open the case to be exact, before buying it) while the card requires 400 watts accoring to the details.

I tried to call HP support for dimensions and wattage supply type, but it was a chore. One guy said all the power supplies have the same size (maybe he meant the hp ones for my computer, but he never said so), another guy told me that without a guarantee that he could not even tell me the power and the third Lady said my dimensions are 9.6 inches by 9.6 inches or 24 centimeters. (do not know if she was trying to give me a microatx measure and I misunderstood the 3 as a 9 or what.) And the first guy claims it was a micro-ATX Power Supply, while the other comes from say atx.

So after some googling I found these links

    1. http://www.censuspc.com/HP-Hewlett-Packard-5188-2859-350-Watt-SIRAH-350-Replacement-Desktop-PC-Power... - this seems to be what I have but he calls it the ATX 12v version

2.http://www.911forpcs.com/5188-2859.html - this seems to be something I could go too, but I don't know if I might be better off with a full-on name brand like Corsair.

3.http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01736200 - this is a different model of Pavilion Elite but so far it looks like mine how. The same video, for some reason any does not exist on the page for my model.

I found two feeds that seem to fit the same dimensions as in link #1, but a larger 0.1 inch on a measure, but I hope that my hp case allows a slight wiggleroom.

    1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028 - a 600 watt Corsair

    2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153151 - a 530 Watt Thermaltake

Was just curious to know if anyone has better info on what exactly is in my case, and what is the best food to buy. I still intend opening the case before buying but just moved and such and call help tech kind of wore out me. I wanted to anyway just say that the computer has been much less the thing of the graphics card. Thank you

    Hello

Type HP power supply (PSU) dimensions for cabinets mid-turn are: 5.9 by 3.4 by 5.5 inches.  If you get a power supply that is longer you might have problems of space between the PSU and the optical drives.  In addition, there are a stabilizing latch that cannot secure the PSU of stirring. This is a minor issue you should aware of your PC should be buy a power supply which is longer than the typical POWER HP block.

The Corsair and both Thermaltake excellent food.  I would give the go-ahead for the CX600 Corsair ($50 after rebate) based on the cost, the total power available and the efficiency rating.

This power supply is typical for your PC based on the part number indicated by HP PartSurfer.

  • Upgrade HP Pavilion Elite 420it - Radeon HD5770 OK with HP 460W POWER supply?

    I have a HP Paviillion Elite 420it (Core i5 750-6 GB DDR3 RAM - Radeon HD5570 - 460W PSU)

I think to change the graphics card, mi it is:

If buying a graphics card AMD Radeon HD5770 1 GB, my pc HP POWER supply can manage consumption Watt?

The HD5570 2 GB standard in my HP pc standard was low, so I ask that.

Should we change the PSU, or 460W standard handle for you the new card?

I don't have a device that uses energy, only the USB mouse & keyboard.

I'm waiting for the answer before buying the HD5770

    Thank you!

I bouth the CUCORE of ASUS HD5770, but I felt unsafe to use the HP PSU, so I took the GS600W CORSAIR.

Power supply and video card fit perfectly in the case, so all is OK now with my pc HP upgrade

  • Cannot upgrade HP pavilion Elite e9180f power?

So I just got the computer (second hand). I bought a corsair HX650 and a NVIDIA GTX560TI. It's that the motherboard (motherboard IPMTB-TK Truckee) gets no power. I've updated the settng bios and still no power. I know that food works (already exchanged once) and the graphics card is fine. Is this a known issue? Any suggestions on a fix?

    Sam,

    Another way to understand:

Your system has a 460W PSU and a GTS250 graphics card. The GTS draws 145W, the new map is 170W.  Now, your only addition 25W max. That's why you only need a slight update. Rosewill 530W would suffice, but I like to use the 630W for the power at a low temperature curve.

Thanks to Dave_G for making the point on the power on the map.

  • power supply upgrade a Pavilion p6620f desktop computer

I need to improve my diet of the 250 watt accompanying to a 500 Watt power supply. What power supply should I buy. I see over a thousand on the internet but I have no idea whitch one to get?  Thank you

    Flyboy2514, welcome to the forum.

This is a power supply which should meet your needs.  It is 600W, but will cost less than the 500W after delivery.  Be sure to follow the instructions for the delivery of the letter.  This ensures that you don't lose.  I always suggest measuring the PSU existing and comparing measures to one you buy.

    SoulTaker, welcome to the forum.

Have you had a reason for not being able to level and by whom?

I know of no reason why you can't upgrade the power supply (PSU).  In fact, I recommend several hundreds of them over the past years.  I love OCZ and Corsair.  They will provide your system clean and stable food.  They are passionate about quality with a reasonable price.  I suggest at least 600W.  This will give you possible shared future updates.  You must measure the existing PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  Read the customer reviews of the two in the links I provided to see what users have to say about them.

    Hello

Consult thispublication of documentfor general information on the selection of a video card.

I would not recommend an upgrade of the processor until you install a new video card.  Upgrading the CPU may be an unnecessary expense.

The P6000 PC has only a power supply 250 watt so that will have to be replaced.  I would look at the Corsair CX600 because it has the power and the appropriate physical dimensions.

Ultra settings can be a little complicated depending on the game.  I use the NVIDIA GTX 460 with some modern games (COD, BF3 and HAWX 2) with parameters utra without problems.  Right now, I recommend the Sapphire HD 6870.  The 6870 is better than the 460, so you shouldn't have any problems.
