Hello

-What Windows Update caused the problem?

I recommend to start your computer in safe mode and System Restore to the date that your computer was working fine and then install the updates manually by failing to install problem causing the update.

    Well, I just bought my first Blu - ray disc. And now it will not play. PowerDVD tells me to update the software. Then I do. I restart the software. PowerDVD still tells me to update the software. And then PowerDVD will not even run at all. It crashes. I can't get anything.

    No problem, I tell myself. I will contact all the customer support.

    JAL out of luck - unless I want to pay.

    Wait a minute. I paid for the software, when I bought the system. I'm waiting for the software to work.

    I have updated the firmware of the player and for my graphics card. I jumped through all the hoops. And yet, PowerDVD crashes before I can do something with it.

    So what am I supposed to do? Why won't work PowerDVD?

    I see that this is not an unusual problem with the software. However, I still have to find a solution. Can someone help me?

    The likely reason for Apple does not officially play Blu - ray support on its machines

    is that there is no way for a software playback Blu - ray should be installed and "just works.

    (Well, since all Macs since 2006 boot Camp support and XP/VISTA/WIN7 is not quite correct.  If you install windows, it works.)

    There is also no Apple Blue ray software, but he needs an active internet connection to play the media.

    A third party did a player of Blu - ray compatible Mac OS X, called Macgo.

    Options for Blu - ray authoring have come from Apple in the form of compressor in Final Cut Studio and the third Roxio Toast Titanium.

    Blu - ray burners that work with them include those sold by the calculation of the other world and MCETechnologies and both can replace the built-in DVD burner

  • Windows blue screen after windows update FEB 10 2010 (stop: 0 x 00000050)

    After updating vista 32-bit with a major update and updates security 4-5 and 1 optional update, my system cannot load. I tried all the mods that are associated with the key f8 (as safe mod ect), then I tried to recover Vista disc, and then the repair system and still no-go. I've heard a chance to eliminate these additions with a command promp (for example using the Vista recovery disc) on an xp system. Unfortunately I have 32-bit vista, so the command prompt will be different slicely. My original Os cd can only perform format c: install and preserve old files or loading drivers (which I did not), so I downloaded and burned the vista recovery disk. I can't tell you my system specs because I can't make a dxdiag because I can't before the vista loading screen. Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    Hello
    To play a Blu - ray disc, you must use a non-Microsoft program that supports Blu - ray playback and a device that can play Blu - ray discs. You can search online by using your favorite search engine to get it.
  • Can Pavilion dv6 (2010, Windows 7) play Blu - Ray discs? If so, how to operate?
    Hello!
    I have a computer laptop dv6 Pavilion 2010 (Windows 7), and I can't play Blu - Ray discs.
    In my control panel (Control Panel-> hardware) and sound-> Auto Play, it lists "Blu - Ray Disc movie" as one of the media types, I can choose a value for default, but the only options it gives me are: "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer", "Take no action" and "Ask Me every time."  So, I can not select a program to use to read discs Blu - Ray here.
    I tried to put in a Blu - Ray disc and see if it will open with Windows Media Player, iTunes, and HP MediaSmart, but none of these programs recognize there is a disc in the drive.
    When I insert the disc, the computer seems to recognize that I put something in, but when I check "Devices with removable storage" in the folder "My Computer", it is said that there is no disc in the drive.
    Then... I have two questions.
    (1) can my computer even Blu - Ray discs play?
    (2) if it is able to do, why my computer doesn't recognize Blu - Ray discs I put in?
    I don't really know what I would do to this subject, so if someone saw that they are willing to give, I would really appreciate it!
    Thank you!!
    Hello
    The optical drive of your laptop is not able to read Blu ray discs - there are replacement blu ray capable drives available for your laptop that can be seen (including the alternative procedure) on Page 70 of your & Maintenance Guide.
