• Specific objective Lightroom Presets

  Can't seem to solve this problem of Lightroom since I use my new camera, a Sony A7ii. I used it with a native lens from Sony (a 24-70 f.4 FE) and a variety of lenses vintage (with adapters).

After having played with and award of the basic presets for the camera/FE 24-70, the presets combo of same - as well as lens corrections - are applied to all photos, including those taken with other lenses. I tried to reverse this problem by removing the lens corrections and assign a new preset - thinking this would remove the lens corrections for all photos taken with the objectives other than the 24-70 FE. No luck. This made out lens correction presets on all future imports, including those taken with the EF 24-70.

  So what I am doing wrong? I know that in pre-selected preferences, there are options of specific camera and ISO specific presets. But what about the specific glasses?

  The default value of the profile of lens for lenses with adapter (not recognized) is how to associate the Sony lens profile you use (FE 24-70mm).

  Try this:

  (1) select a raw image file shot with that of the adapter mounted lenses and click on the "Reset" button at the bottom of the Panel parameters develop.

  (2) in the Panel next to "Setup" lens Corrections, click the two-headed arrow and select "Reset Lens default profile." 'Make' should now be set to "None" and "Setup" the value "Default".

  3) go to the menu develop > set default settings > click "Update to current settings".

  This should prevent a profile of lenses apply to unrecognized adapter lenses and your goal (s) Sony will be the profile of lens with your settings 'by default'. You can change the default settings of 100 of distortion and vignetting 100 for each objective independently with unique values.

• Dropbox plugin problem

  When I try to use the Dropbox plugin, I get these messages.

  This plugin came with Lightroom. It was a fresh install of Lifgtroom after that I updated my computer to Windows 10. I worked very well under Windows 7.

  Adobe does not have a Dropbox with LR plugin.

  Most likely, you (or someone using your computer) had downloaded a third party plugin for Dropbox on Windows 7.  When you upgraded your computer, folders containing the catalog LR and LR preferences have been retained or copied in Windows 10 and when you installed LR in Windows 10, he finds the pre-existing preferences.

  The preferences contain the list of installed plugins and their folder locations.  Maybe the folder that contains the Dropbox plugin did not allow upgrade of Windows 10, or maybe it's in another place on Windows 7.    In this case, LR preferences say that the plugin is installed, but it does not actually exist in the place where it has been installed.

  File > plug-in and made Manager scroll to find the Dropbox plugin.  Select it to see details on where LR is expected to find.  The screen should look like this:

  

  The path in status will tell you where LR expects to find the plugin folder. If you know where currently this (somewhere else in the configuration of Windows 10) file, copy it to the location given in the path and restart LR.

  Does not work if you do not find the plugin folder of origin, or copy it in the place and restarted LR, and in Manager plugin, select the plugin and click on remove (lower-left).  Restart LR to make sure that it worked.  Then re-download the plugin from here where you got it and reinstall by following the instructions of the author of the plugin.

  If none of this works, please provide a screenshot of high resolution of all the window Manager plugin with the Dropbox plugin selected.

• Change in pref with javascript (CS1 - CS5)

  Created on one side of the release must be duplicated and moved to the other side (information model, etc.). We have preferences in InDesign CS1 - CS5 to remember the layers when pasting during execution of the script, but we do not want to permanently take hostage the preferences of the customers.

  I don't know if it was even a pre - CS3 preference and, if so, if she has always been exposed to the scripting engine. In CS4, it is scriptable as a Boolean value:

  app.clipboardPreferences.pasteRemembersLayers

  .. and the usual way to work around bad user preferences is as follows:

  1 beginning of the script:

  originalValue = app.clipboardPreferences.pasteRemembersLayers;

• preference and locations pre-defined in LR3 seems confused

  I am running LR3 on a Win 7 64 (primary) and a XP 32 (secondary) and and try to manually synchronize settings and presets but I'm quite confused.

  
  

  On my Win 7 64 machine I found there are two structure of catalog of Lightroom in the hidden files box settings under the ".../Application Data/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom / ' and in the visible data catalog"Lightroom ".  They are up to 80% identical, but two of them seems to store something that others did not...

  If I delete eather one of them, it is automatically recreated when LR3 is started.

  I tried to copy visible "Lightroom settings" folder of my Win 7 to the equivalent area on my XP, but start it does not me the same Lightroom settings and presets as I expected.

  Anyone who could tell me the secret here?

  The word page nothing on the "Lightroom settings" catalog created in theDocuments and Settings / [username] /My Documents / My Pictures/Lightroom folder: who created just on my PC due to a wrong setting or is it standard?

  If you check the Store Presets with catalog option in Prefs-> Presets, Lightroom uses the presets in this folder. If it's missing, the folder will be created when you click on the option.

  If this option is disabled, Lightroom uses the global folder presets (i.e.... \Application Data\... etc.). It is safe to delete the settings Lightroom to 'My pictures' folder because they are not used.

• Firefox does not take into account options made in the print preferences box. How to solve this problem... Please?

  I need to adjust printing to 65%, then select a setting on the printer of non-standard. When I select PRINT, the preferences box is presented to the user, but the changes are ignored.   Hi Peter, is the problem with a PDF document? Financial sites generally use a PDF research reports and statements which need to have a very controlled format. Usually, you can tell that it is a PDF file, because the document will have a toolbar customized with its own print icon. I think that in this case, dialog layout Page of Firefox is not used because the document is already pre-formatted. But I do not know why the preferences would not work in this case.

• I have chosed on z Drive .itl file when opening iTunes but on Preferences always shows as CDrive.  Why?

  I installed a new HARD drive in my PC as the C drive was full on the former.  I copied the iTunes folder and the Libra folder on drive C on the Z drive.  In preferences / advanced I had historically not ticked 'keep iTunes Library organized... '. "or"copy files to iTunes Media folder... ". "because I believe that when I installed everything first Libra on the machine instructions had told not to do.  However, all articles and youtube videos, I watched before installing the new HARD drive and try to move the library said that should check these boxes.

  I tired to organize my library via iTunes but unfortunately was informed by the tha system it was not possible due to the fact that there are insufficeint space on the disk - is not a surprise because I think that this function copies the files instead of moving them, and that there are 200 GB of content there is no space on the C drive.

  I finally found the correct .itl file to select - it was not easy for some reason, it wasn't in the Apple Lossless file, I put in place but rather the iTunes folder in the balance.

  When I press SHIFT and open iTunes I then select choose library and go to the Z Drive (new HARD drive) and the file in the iTunes folder .til balance.  iTunes opens and everything seems to be there.  So far so good.

  However, when I go to preferences / advanced and check the path of the file to the iTunes library and not be Z\Libra\iTunes, it is still C\Users\name\Music\Itunes\Apple Lossless.

  Found this one.  It will update the show name for the palm profile (Contacts > preferences & account, there are stream) If you delete the profile on your phone and add it again.

  I just opted for a new pre 2 of my Pixi Plus old who died.   When my Pixi has been placed on the Touchstone charger, he would give a sound signal.  The new Pre 2 does not have a sound notification although it gives a visual indication that he is in charge.   Is there a setting on the Pre 2 to activate the sound alert on and outside?   Thank you.

  I am unaware of a parameter, otherwise than to turn the ringer switch on or off.  Alternatively, you can try to restart the phone.

  I waited a year for the Pre get to Verizon and now that I bought I find that I can't connect to our server to access outlook.  I have send and it seems to work very well but if I can't access Outlook, then the phone is worthless.  The problem with the connection with the connection to Microsoft exchange is resolved?  Call the it Department of the great company I work to ask them to update anything to answer me (a person) is ridiculous and that they wouldn't in any case.

  then... there at - it a help for me or should I empty palm.  A Treo 755 and it was wonderful!  Don't need semantics... can I come to Outlook using MS Exchange or not.

  Go to the calendar (or contacts app) and in the menu, select Preferences and accounts. You should see your server Exchange is listed. If you do, then I don't know what's happening: you can go to call Palm/Verizon support and ask them to walk you through it. (http://www.palm.com/support and select your device and carrier)

  If you do not, then you can try to add it, but honestly they add the contacts and calendar from your server when you added the e-mail account. I can't recommend enough especially if a head-to-phone or cat would be useful, by contacting support to work with you. Good luck.

• Remove contacts from Yahoo of Palm Pre

  How to remove contacts from Yahoo duplicate of the Pre? I get "Yahoo profiles cannot be deleted." There must be a way to remove them?

  Open the contacts app click on the upper left dropdown 'Contacts' and go to preferences and accounts. Click in the list of accounts on Yahoo. Then click on remove account. This will remove only the synchronization of contact from yahoo. You will always have yahoo mail and schedule synchronizations.

• updating Win 7 home pre never returns

  damaged my laptop so set up another and put my hard drive in it. crashed a lot then found it viper sw virus that was causing problems.
