Run the sfc/scannow command.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
  2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions

If SFC detects the main problems it can't fix you may need to borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation

read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation

  • Why don't I have a "Recently deleted" folder in my Notes?  I'm pretty sure that I've improved my Notes app (I can make bulleted lists and draw).  A note has mysteriously disappeared yesterday and I want to try to get it back.

An important point missing yesterday... poof!... in the air.  At one point, I used the search field in the Notes and the note missing that presented themselves.  But, now, it disappeared again.  I can't find anywhere.  In the search for a solution, I see that I should have a folder called Notes in "recently deleted".  I don't.  I think I have the improved version of Notes because I can make checklists & draw.

    6 s iPhone: iOS 9.3.2

    MacBook Pro: El Capitan 10.11.5

I looked in all folders.  I have now switched off Notes for all accounts where it had been activated (no Notes existed in these accounts).  On my Mac, on the navigation on the left of the application Notes (files), I: Notes from iCloud, on my Mac and my Notes to gmail.  On my iPhone, the list of files just a pointed iCloud and on my Notes from the iPhone.

    Bottom line:

To this, I have been for over 2 hours now.  I'm willing to give up the missing note (unfortunately), but really want to know where my "Recently deleted" folder is located (don't know if I'd ever).  If you tell me to reset my phone or digging through backups as a last resort, please explain step by step and let me know what I could lose it making.

    Thanks in advance!

Update: I have just disabled my gmail account note on my Mac so that both (phone and laptops) Notes apps list the same folders... for only iCloud + on my Mac / On my iPhone.

  • My Junk folder suddenly disappeared. Now all messages marked as junk in my deleted folder. How to restore my junk e-mail folder?

I use Thunderbird for my email. I have accounts with Yahoo and Gmail. Recently, my Junk folder disappeared, and now all messages marked as junk goes in my file deleted, which means that it is all mixed with standard deleted emails. It means also that I'm unable to check for spam, without going into my deleted folder and search it. Please, how I restore my Junk folder?

Serversetup TB for Gmail and Yahoo page, you have the option of "prenumeration records" (my translation) probably just tick the box for junk.

  • How can I retrieve e-mails deleted from the Inbox today instead of deleted folder

I want to retrieve emails that were in my Inbox. I deleted them by mistake instead of my deleted folder. Is this possible? I have emails before June 20 that I still have. It is each after that I am concerned

    1. You didn't say what email program you use. Wouldn't be Outlook Express?
    2. Unless you did a shift/delete, messages must be deleted.
    3. You have an Inbox.bak file in the Recycle Bin of Windows created no later than June 20?

If you use OE and messages are not in the deleted items and you do not have a BAK file created within the specific time period and you have not compacted your folders since the deletion, and you do not have a backup of your posts, then one of these tools can retrieve messages.

    Macallan Outlook Express Extraction:
    http://www.insideoe.com/resources/tools.htm#Macallan

    DBXtract:
    http://www.oehelp.com/dbxtract/default.aspx

If you have compacted because the messages have been removed, then this is the only tool that has a chance to recover the messages.

    DBXpress
    http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspx

You may need to run in the extract from disk Mode if its normal recovery mode fails to find lost messages.

  • DUNGEON OF DELETED FOLDER APPEARED PERMANENTLY

    Hi Microsoft community.

I have a problem, which deleted folder keep appeared, even though I tried several ways that I found online.

I have two files, a format xls and another a txt format.

    I tried to:

1 delete the files using regedit.

    2. make a duplicate files with the same name, then delete them both.

3 clear temp files and trash

All show the same result, that these files are back after refresh/restart of the pc.

I highly appreciated if there is nothing that can solve this problem.

    Hi Muhammad,

To delete these folders from your Office, you must make only one by one manually. Behold, this is how it is done:

-Point your mouse on the file

    -Right click on the mouse

-In the context menu, select delete

These deleted files will be donated to your Trash. Open your trash and select all the files, then select Empty trash.

Let us know how it goes.

    Kind regards

I tried all these on my mac, ipad, iphone and icloud web without success.

  • can I delete folder seen in iPhoto? What is the effect.

I'm trying to save some memory and see the 3 types of shirts: thumbnails, previews and the masters. I tried to read some of the forums on this topic but none doesn't make clear what exactly does the previews and that I have effects and consequences will happen if I delete it. Its a very significant amount of space and I need save space on my 232 GB SSD hard drive.

Thanks in advance for any guidance...
    Skip

Previews are smaller JPEGs of the edited versions of your photos in your photo library system for sharing with other applications using the media browser.

And I see in this folder all the edition results returned by photo editing extensions.

When I tried to remove previews of this folder, pictures for Mac app just recreated them. I wouldn't count on that, however, that the Photos can solve this problem, if you voluntarily change the library.  It won't do any good to try to remove previews. It will just slow down Photos,

If you need to record on your SSD storage move the pictures to a hard drive external portable library. This will give you plenty of storage for your photos.

  • El Capitan 10.11.5 lost my "recently deleted" folder in the pictures.

I've updated the week last of Yosemite.

Today, when I went to remove photos from my library (to create a space), but there was no "recently deleted the file" in the file menu. It is completely absent. It is worrisome for two reasons, one because I could accidentally delete a picture and not being able to easily restore to their original and two record because I won't be able to create more space by deleting old photos.

Is this a known bug? Does anyone else have this missing feature on their software recently updated? More importantly, did someone know how I can easily resolve this issue? I'm afraid to say I have not used the time machine.

The record shows that when it deleted the photos inside. After 30 days, the photos are deleted automatically. Once the folder is empty, it will disappear.

And also, the folder is no longer in the menu. It now appears in the list of albums.

I accidentally deleted the file on my disk 'data' through formatting the drive.
I was told that I needed this folder in the hard drive to create my recovery disk

    This file is now gone.
Is it possible that I can always CREATE the disc or the folder to DOWNLOAD/PURCHASE to use for the recovery process to create the disc?
Without having to pay for a new disk - [which costs around £30!

Please try to help because I'm stuck here...

    Thank you

    Bad news buddy.
Without the recovery folder, you will not be able to create the Toshiba recovery disc.
Unfortunately, but it looks like you will have to order the recovery DVDs.

Formatting HARD drive was a bad move :(
