  My guest in VMware operating system performance is very laggy and unresponsive. Opening programs takes a lot of time, and the cursor is laggy.   The VMware image is currently configured to use the virtual monolithic disk of 20 GB, 2 GB of RAM, 2 CPU cores, NAT connection.

  Well, with a little help, I solved it. It turns out that my CPU was immobilized at 800 Mhz frequency. The Samsung 9 series, it is called silent mode when you slow down the fan and the CPU frequency is lowered so it is not overheating.

  If you have VMware Fusion.app a subfolder of the Application or in he moved to the outside/applications, you must give the app and run it from the Applications.  If this is not the case, try to search with Spotlight for several copies of Fusion on your system to see if you have copies of somewhere, maybe an old backup.

  You won't find that.  There is NO way to give a comparison that you are comparing apples and screwdrivers, they are not the same family.

  SAN's storage shared, managed by a central unit full time on a fiber infrastructure.  But it depends on your switches fiber, HBA, your configuration, the disks in the SAN, the manufacturer of SAN, speed of the disks, the number of disks... It goes on and on.

  Each SAN / fiber / Configuration is very different.

  Local storage depends on the RAID configuration, manufacturer, your RAID card, disks... once again more info that can be included.  The line at the bottom is Local disk can be more responsive at times, but since you are limited to the number of disk (6 or 8) are limited to the performance, but the flow is the key.

  You will get a FLOW much more fiber than the local disk.  More load, less stress (since he is not relying on the local system to provide the resources AND the host operating system).

  SAS is better than SATA for the case of all VM on both systems.  so keep that in mind.  It is also very important to comparative analysis.  IOmeter will help you determine what is best for you.

  If no harm recuerdo con vSphere ESX/ESXi puedes asignar UN number of vCPUS a tus VMs el cual sea impar,'re decir, 3, 5, y 7, entendiendo 8 vCPUS are el maximo.

  Hyperthering perminte (desastivado in the BIOS por defecto) hacer una fisica una logica CPU. VMware recommend activar hyperthearing.
