• Prelude CC 2014 Ingest - treatment takes forever

  As a prelude CC 2014 when I go to ingest it says 'treatment' on each clip as usual. Unlike the previous version, however, it takes forever for the media at the end of this treatment, or not at all. The media in question are Canon DSLR images and images Canon VIXIA (mp4), ingested and transcoded from an external hard drive (WD My Passport Ultra). I reinstalled the previous version of the Prelude (2.0) and everything works normally. Is there a setting in prelude CC 2014 that could combat this problem?

  There is a known issue on this setting. I.e. If activate "save media beside the original Cache files when possible", for some types of media formats the miniature display in the dialog box Ingest begins to blink.

  I was in the wrong direction at the beginning because I focused on "no clip made" in the thumbnail view of the Ingest dialog box. In any case the root cause was found, thank you again for your help.

• Prelude CC 2014 ingest window flickering

  I discovered a really weird problem today when preparing some files to import into CC 2014 prelude. When I chose a folder with files, they began loading and then suddenly started flashing. In the list next to the thumbnails of files the file flickered as well. This happened only with a few records and some do not. It didn't happen with the files on my card connected via card reader, but it happened to my internal drive and an external hard drive.

  I don't think that it has nothing to do with the location of the file, but the files in the folder.

  I think it has something to do with files that have already been the .pek files created for them.

  The problem seems to have fixed itself when I deselected the option in the preferences to record media cache files next to the originals when possible. I also clean the media Cache database.

  Here is the info for my system:

  MacBook Pro retina

  Internal hard drive SSD

  G-Tech G-Drive Mobile USB external (USB3)

  SDHC memory card plugged into the memory card reader internal

  Files in folders that have worked have a variety of .jpg, .mp4, .mov, and many others

  Files in folders that do not have were pretty much all the same files, but some already had with them .pek files or had previously been imported to the prelude or first.

  Some of the files that were in folders that worked well was created or imported in prelude or first, so I honestly don't know what the problem is. What I see happening is as prelude goes to read the files, that something is a problem, it restarts the process, repeat, repeat, repeat. I can click on 'Cancel' or select another folder and it will stop the problem of refresh/flicker.

  When I go to the folder in the Finder, while what is happening, I can see the .pek and an another one or two files appearing and disappearing as the flickering / refreshing happens in the prelude.

  Deselect the option in the preferences to record media cache files next to the originals when possible. Also, clean the media Cache database.

• Cannot save - prelude CC 2014.2 - 3.2.0 (22)

  'Save' does not exist in my menu file, ctrl-S saves not a project.  When I do save as it saves a new project - but NONE of my new job is logged.  I just did an update for Prelude, and I get the same results.  I see other people having similar problems with the Prime Minister/Prelude and no answers.

  Windows 8.1, update of prelude to the last version, uninstalled and reinstalled; First Pro is OK.

  Any ideas?

  1. The first thing to do is to copy the images to a hard drive. Don't forget to copy the structure of the whole of the map instead of just the clips folder.
  2. Leave in the prelude, follow these steps:
     1. Click on the button to interfere in the top toolbar.
     2. Choose the storage card from the camera, or the directory that has been moved on your hard drive.
     3. Ensure that Ingest dialogue said that view as AVCHD.
     4. Select the clips that to ingest.
     5. Under transfer Options, check the box to transfer Clips at Destination.
     6. Choose transcode.
     7. Under Transcode, choose the format you want to transcode files in.
     8. Click Copy Ingest and transcode the files.

• Prelude CC 2014 - clip moves within project take a long time

  After ingestion, marking and by creating subitems for my project, I proceed to move all original without name of clips to a subfolder called 'RAW' in their original folders. This process of moving the clips (after several clip selection and dragging them to the new folder) takes a few minutes where I get nothing, but the beach ball of rotation (on Macbook Pro installed OSX 10.9.4 retina) and a quite insensitive application. How long the wait is directly proportional the number of files that is displaced (e.g. spend two clips is almost instantaneous, move 30 takes five minutes), the program comes back online then, but I do not understand why it takes so long just to move clips.   Sorry for your problem. I have looked into this issue (with about 1250 media files) and it rated in the following scenarios:

  1. move these clips in the project Panel in a locker: Instant (no problem)

  2. run these clips of bin Panel House project: problem prelude becomes unresponsive(spinning wheel)

  3 move clips from one location to another bin: new problem; Prelude becomes unresponsive(spinning wheel)

  I refer to the question within my team. We will certainly consider this.

  Meanwhile, it would help, if you move clips in different trays l ddirectly from the component of the project. It works very well, but every time that the clips are within other bins and tried to be moved, prelude does not respond well.

  I'm new to Prelude and so far it seems to be a good interface for elimination through a projects images have quickly.

  The only thing I don't see is the ability to set the In and out of a clip Points?

  I'm excited to try the new integration of history, but the ability to use the embedded script is grayed out for me.  I don't have much experience with history, maybe if I put in place the file or the bad formatting:

  I created a new Film Script in history. (I do not see anywhere to create a script of transcript)

  The script must be properly formatted in the history for this function to work.  I had difficulties to get a transcript (or any block of text) to be used in the analysis of speech.  Even if you use a text file from a transcript, it must be formatted in a model of Film Script with the appropriate formatting. If you already have a good script with the stars of the scene, characters and dialogue, you should be fine.  If you have a block of text (from the transcript, for example) you must follow these steps:

  1. History, create a new document as a movie Script by using the model of Film.
  2. You can clear the title page of the template that it creates for you.
  3. Give the document a scene heading (make sure it is formatted in scene section in the drop down for formatting) it will be used as title do you see for the prelude document.  It can be any description you want - it doesn't have to follow the conventions of scenarios. (IE INT-Office - DAY)
  4. Add a character name. (Once again, shaped as a character in the format drop-down list)  I use the name of the object of the interview for the transcripts.
  5. Paste the text of the transcript.
  6. Depending on where the cursor was when you pasted in it, the body of the transcript is perhaps already formatted as dialogue.  If this is not the case, select all and change to the dialog box in the drop-down list format.
  7. Record.
  8. As a prelude, open the Adobe Story Panel under the window menu.
  9. Connection.
  10. Click project, and then double-click the document that you created in the history.
  11. The name of the document (under stage) drag the clip that you want to associate the text to.  It will create a new badge icon to display the clip is linked to a script.
  12. Right-click on the clip and choose analyze content...
  13. If your script has been formatted correctly, you should be able to check the box "Use a built-in Adobe Story Script."
  14. Click OK and SOUL will process the file and add markers to the transcript of the speech to clip from the transcript of the story.
  15. Now, when you send the first, you can work with the clip using text - search, add in/out points using the word, etc.  Very powerful and useful.

  Of course, you can do all this without a script/transcription, but the quality of the transcription of the SOUL will vary widely by the audio file being used.

• Several tags per comment in prelude CC 2015 went?

  Hi all

  I was the feature of the tags in the prelude on the occasion of comments with several tags in prelude CC 2014, but when I updated until 2015, I noticed that if I click on a tag, it automatically creates a new marker of comment.
