Portégé M 200 - on screen pointer is out of control

When I right-click on a document, the worksheet, the image, in a folder, or cut/copy/etc, the pointer on the screen sometimes goes haywire. I have no control of the mouse or pointer. If the pointer on the button of the drop then for awhile, this function becomes highlighted, usually I have to press ESC and then right click again.

This happens only once per document, after he made his "thing haywire" mouse / pointer behaves normally, although other documents, spreadsheets, etc. in the same folder will show the same problems as we, for once. This happens in any folder, or on my network drive.

Hello

It's a very strange problem.
I don't know why this is happening. But I guess it must be something wrong with the hardware. Maybe the mother or the keyboard.
In the past I had a very strange problem on my laptop. It was not a Toshiba laptop. The unit will stop if I opened a site in HTML. It happened only with HTML sites. I know it's strange but true. I contacted the service and he changed the jury.

Well well, since the motherboard, replacement of all work fine. But I mean, it's a lot of strange problems occur without knowing why. I think you should contact Toshiba service in your country.

  • Satellite Pro 6100: cursor moves out of control on the screen

    Hey guys,.

I'm seriously going crazy right about now... my problem is the following:

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100, Windows XP Professional with SP2, memory: 512 MB.

About two weeks ago my cursor began to move up and down whenever I pressed the space bar. It has gotten worse since. My cursor moves out of control across the screen (there are usually in the upper right or lower left) and I can not recover. I know for a fact that it has nothing to do with my external mouse (optical), because this problem also occurs when I use my pointing device. Even in safe mode.

    The thing I've tried:
    Ran Spybot: Search and Destroy
    Ran Adaware
    Xoftspy RAN
A ran Symantic Antivirus 10 (complete analysis of the system in safe mode)
    New keyboard
    New motherboard

Nothing helps. I'm this close to format my pc. Does anyone have a suggestion of what to do?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I put t he understand. You have changed the keyboard and the motherboard, but you did not recover the OS with the Toshiba Recovery CD.
The first procedure that you should do is the new installation of the OS before you change or replace anything on the laptop.

Unfortunately, it is not easy to say why it occurs. A friend of mine has a similar problem with the cursor. The cursor has jumped on the screen and it was not possible to open applications. It has (or service) resolved with the replacement of keyboard.

If the new installation OS doesn't fix this strange cursor, so I recommend you contact Toshiba.

  • Problem with SG-200 and access point on VLAN

I'm having some problems with the configuration of VLANS on the SG-200 and the WiFi access point. The access point (a TP-Link WA801N) is able to access the internet when it is plugged into a port that is on the default VLAN (1 PVID). If I plug it into one of the other VLAN then all clients connected to WiFi to lose access to the internet and can not access on the local VIRTUAL network devices. I've used this configuration with a Cisco WAP4410N of first generation.

I'm not sure if it's something wrong with the way I configured the switch or a problem with the access point.

    Iain,

You have virtual local networks put in place on your router? The subnets that you use on each vlan? The router will give DHCP for each vlan?

The SG200 isn't a fully managed layer 3 switch, it's just a "smart switch" so you can not actually be able to do simply only switch. A sg300 mode layer 3 would be able to do this because it is a fully managed switch.

If the router is configured with the VLAN, vlan 1 unidentified, the rest the tag, the router-> SG200 port is trunking and the others as access ports on their vlan respective. Once the router is configured, this video contributor forum albums and Cisco employee David Hornstein is very useful to correctly configure the switch.

    Best,

    David

  • Satellite X 200-252 screen flickers on desktop

    Hello
I really want to upgrade my laptop to Windows 7, I tried RC front, x 64, and x 86. Now, I bought x 64 ultimate for my desktop so I decided to try it too on Toshiba Satellite X 200-252. Everything works perfectly, except for the video driver.
PROBLEM: screen flickers on the desktop without reason. This happens even when I do nothing, all the seconds for example just to read a pdf file or watch the nice wallpaper I.
-with the original preinstalled Vista Home Premium x 86 I try to update display driver is more recent than the 7.15.11.7605
-with windows XP and drivers downloaded from nVidia
-with windows 7 all versions, nVidia drivers, tried several
-with windows 7 drivers of Toshiba U.S. site X 205 model (cost installation, no upgrade of Windowses)
Glitter for me means one of the following:
-for a fraction of a second, a part of the screen deforms
-a few lines unexpectedly appear and disappear on and off screen for no reason
-l' screen becomes black, in whole or in part and turns on OK once again, while a few milliseconds.

    What I tried to do:
-the ONLY driver that works correctly under vista is the original and most recent 7.15.11.7605 of Toshiba, dated June 25, 2008. NO driver work correctly under Win 7 or XP.
-Toshiba links to the nVidia site, where I can download newer drivers - supposedly I can, but screen flickers on all windows.
-Model drivers Toshiba X 205 for Vista or Win 7 from the Web of Toshiba U.S. site also exhibit this behavior. This product is identical to mine both chipset and gpu.
-Toshiba Software to install - (does not include video driver anyway, as far as I could tell)

    What I expect:
-Si Toshiba could identify all they put tweak under their "last good"original driver, it would be good to know about this, although X 205 driver did not work.
-Also if anyone successfully installed any driver newer than one mentioned display, please leave me a comment with a version or if they had need special tips AND if the display is stable.
-A method to test the graphics card / memory on my computer to find errors, something in memtest 86 + flavor.

    Hello

The Satellite X 200-252 was equipped with the graphics card or similar, as the Toshiba P200 of Satego European PSPBEE series.
Try the display driver released for this series too.
Maybe you could use a driver Vista Win 7 OS.

The drivers are located on the page of the European driver Toshiba

  • BlackBerry Smartphones error 200 + white screen due to the software update incomplete

    Hello.

I was updating my Blackberry device software but I don't know if the update was successful or not, but it seemed to be the error because the data cable was leaked & he says I should go to www.blackberry.com/507.

  • How the help file c PORT pin [link] to start screen?

QHM help file is packed for 64-bit Windows 8 by Canon corp. I have a QHM help file for my Canon printer, and it seems to work very well, but...

Robert Aldwinkle forums seemed almost about to find a way, but everything he thought evaporates.

C PORT behaves strangely in 64-bit Windows 8. Hold SHIFT and right-click, copy as path copy anything. Send to peak to almost everything in this universe, but there is no shipment to start; and so, we could accept Robert's initial find nothing sends anyway.

In addition, you can have 2 two shortcuts to a file QHM named the same shortcut! Normally Windows should be able to name the second shortcut MP830 manual Visual (2). Oh no, there is no given name of Manual - Visual MP830 shortened when the shortcut is created by all means possible. The names Windows shortcut simply Visual MP830 manual.

Yet, double-click Visual manual MP830 and the Canon utility Help opens. Is it only a feature of region 3, or is this global behavior? Is c PORT a help file in format CHM owner? East HARBOR master, a structure of link opening the content of help elsewhere? So many questions.

How to paste a link to a file QHM help on Windows 8 boot screen?

    Hi Mark,

I would like to inform you that executable only files that end with .exe file format can be pinned to start screen, the other files whose file formats such as .txt, or ".chm", "section" etc... cannot be pinned on the screen of Windows 8 start.

If you have additional questions, feel free to post, we will be happy to help you.

  • X 200 gel screen black tablet, Win7, sleep

I posted about it before and never got any more far away yet, but as I found some new info I would repost.

So I have a 200 x up, load (1.86 GHz, 4 GB of ram, Intel 5300, fingerprint, webcam, card reader, multitouch enhanced (multi-doigt)) with windows 7. It was fast, but I still have serious problems when it comes to sleep/hibernate implementation.

Using the reliability monitor monitor, about 5 times a day (excluding the 10 times I might need sleep/hibernate) trying to sleep by closing the lid or using fn + f4, windows stops responding.

Some info I get on this State:

The status LEDS remain active. By pressing the buttons occationally will cause the hard disk activity, using the external wifi switch will always turn on and turn off the wifi, so windows still works.

I can not connect by office remotely. It connects, allows to connect you, but then I see is a black screen and a blue circle of spinning and have to disconnect

Very strange: Shortcuts seem to fail BEFORE it is a problem. Windows key + L, ctrl + alt + del, ctrl + shift + esc all seems to fail. I know when my sleep will not work by testing these first. I tried to use microsoft process Explorer to kill any running process, and none seemed responsible. So, it's probably a driver or a service related issue.

I've spent most of my drivers to c:\SWTOOLS as recommended by the forums, tried disabling all non-essential hardware, uninstall anything I could. Still stuck and frustrated after a month.

I changed the order of bios etc... but I get a "check cable" message during boot.

now, I understand that there are updates available bios...?

    (1) WHAT THE BIOS UPGRADE PACKAGE I USE IT BECAUSE I SEE A LOT?
    (2) HOW ON EARTH I HAVE ADD THIS UPGRADE WHEN MY COMPUTER DOES NOT LIGHT? -iv tried to add the bios upgrade latest for my USB... but at the start... it says "error".

A blinking cursor often means that Windows is damaged.

You may need to use your recovery disk NB200 to reinstall Windows.
If you do not have the time to create the recovery disk / USB key, you can order one on the Toshiba site.

You can run Memtest to check the RAM for stability. www.memtest.org

Yes, it seems that Yes! :(

I m not a technician for laptop, but you've done everything you can do: remove the battery for an hour and checked with an external monitor.
To me, it looks like a hardware malfunction

The Satellite L350 is a new laptop and I guess that your laptop is still under warranty. The repair should be free.
I think that it of the best way because the laptop technician can check each physical part of the laptop to determine the cause of this problem.
