Preparation of desktop + default user login

Occasionally, when I start my laptop Windows 7 Ultimate, instead of the 'Welcome' screen and a login prompt for the user by default ('B'), I get "Readiness Office", then the login for the user by default ('B') prompt. After a successful login, I get a new office and default user privileges 'B '. No files or other inerference profile to the default user 'B' will appear. To fix this, I restart or shutdown. Then start up, usually, I welcome and one for the default user login screen. After login, I have all the stuff for the user 'B '. It happens randomly without error message to the previous closure or the new connection. Any ideas?

Hi BobThurmond,

Method 1: First of all, you should try to check and safe mode if the problem persists.

Follow this link provided below to start your computer in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 2: If the problem does not happen, I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: after a repair, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

Method 3:

If this does not work, create a new user account and check. If it works in a new user account, then probably your user account have been damaged and would need a fix.

Create a user profile.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

Now search for the question.

Follow the link provided below to fix the damaged user profile.

In addition, You can also use Event Viewer to search for information on the problem.

Here is an article on how to do it:

You can see for more information on the issue at the time where it occurred.

You can post this information here to help us narrow down where the focus.

Original title: laptop charge no office

Please bear with me, this is my first post and I'm not very computer literate. I have a laptop Packard Bell under Windows 7. Everything seemed fine until I turned it on the other day and after the login screen I noticed that the blue screen of windows had a message saying, preparing your desktop... it stayed for a few minutes and then he went to my office, but the screen was black and none of my usual icons were present. He has none of my usual icons in the taskbar either. My usual browser of choice is Chrome, but now there is only IE in the taskbar. I did a scan with Malwarebytes and it came with JS/Redir, I removed this and restarted the computer laptop, but had the same problem. I can't access the internet, but a strange thing is that the default fonts for things like email have been changed. Please help me get my usual workstation and familiar environment of return!

    Hello Maurice Mann

Thank you for all the time and effort that you put in trying to help me with my laptop PC problem.  I think that all the trouble which resulted from a faulty AVG!

I finally managed to uninstall this program, I started to make progress.

I finally got back on the internet by following the tips as follows: -.

Run the SFC system several times. Click Start, click all programs, and then accessories. Right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. Type or copy sfc/scannow then press ENTER. If it finds errors, but cannot fix try a couple of times again. If it still does not work, then restart.

I tried a few times and nothing happened, so I decided to make one last try and after a reboot, everything was back to normal.  I had the help of Windows and pages of back Support, my office, and all of my favorite settings and I've been on the internet Wi - fi!

Thank you once again and I hope my information helps in the future.

  • delay after typing my password with the message: "preparing your desktop" displayed on the login screen

I use Windows Vista for about 3 years now, it has been hurt on the first day.  However, it is the biggest problem I've ever known.

My PC is currently the entire installation, which means that all the software, drivers and personal settings are applied to the way I would like it. But lately, I have had opportunities indicate that loggin, there was a long delay, after typing my password with the message: "preparing your desktop" displayed on the login screen (the PC was night shotdown, not having changed anything to the system), then I am connected to a desktop where I lost all my custom settings : wallpapers, plans, location of the updated table on the page icon, were all gone as if I start Windows for the first time, and every program I tried to run from there thought while they started upward for the first time.

My office, I know, has completely disappeared.   How can I get it back?  Where at - it go?

I am a school teacher and my student missions, etc. are in the files on the desktop.

I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

  • Media files went after login (preparing your desktop)

On our desktop, we have important documents and family photos that were just lost today when we need to connect top and we got the message preparing your desktop. Now every time that connect us to that account, it gives this message. Wallpaper has disappeared, and the documents and a multitude of images/pretty much everything we did. The programs are always there. Is it possible to recover these lost files?

"Preparing your desktop" indicates that the connection is considered to be a completely new user with his own user profile. Normally, this happens because the user profile is corrupted and cannot be loaded, it is rarely individual files, but is instead the hive of the registry of the user.

When this happens, Windows creates a temporary user profile which is deleted when you close the session, but if nothing is done to solve the problem creates another temporary profile the next time.

Try to run a restore point prior to the question that arises to see if he can recover a hive of work. Alternatively, you can try to create another user with administrator privileges and check the C:\Users folder to the directory of the profile user "lost". All missing files should still be there.

Use this class as a small reminder that you need to do regular backups, in this case, the files should be retrievable. It may not always be the case.

  • How can I move/copy data between desktop Vista user?

    Hello

My home computer has 3 users, 2 personnel and an administrative one system.  [How] can I copy or move files between desktop ordinary user without login again as a system administrator? As a regular user, that I can't even see the jobs of the other user.

    Thank you.

I think I've cracked it.  I had to abandon my personal account admin rights and of course a password to protect these rights.

  • Folders default user account all empty - why?

I'm puzzled. When Dell first set up my cell phone two years ago, they forced me to implement a user administrator account ("Charles"). This seems to have become corrupted in a few days, so it was removed and a second account username created in its place ("Charles2"). This moment holds all my Documents, Favorites, and so on. However, there is also a set of folders in the users folder called "Default user" but these (AppData, desktop etc.) are all empty. In my opinion, as the only user and administrator of the laptop, I do not see why I already needed to put in place a user account ("Charles2") in the first place that surely the 'Default' user folders should contain all my Documents and so forth? Can't I move the content from the Charles2 folder to the default folder and just delete entire records Charles2 tree? Or which will cause massive problems?

I'd say you of let alone default user account and continue to use Charlss2 because everything works fine as things are now, and there is no reason to change.  I don't know what would happen if you moved everyting in the default user account - it could cause problems either immediately, or down the road.  If you really want to still try to do so, after back and I'll give you the procedures but I highly recommend.  Things are working fine now - it is unnecessary to make unnecessary changes that could be risky.  Because the records are all empty, it does not take a lot of space so this isn't a review.  Being the "Default User" is no more rights you have - you can do almost anything with your current account, you may be able to do with this account (although this account as 'default' account may actually have some restrictions on this subject which do not apply to your account of ccurrent)

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • "User Login not allowed here"

Here is my layout and the question.

    Page layout

Using Dell Sonicwall NSA 2600 firewalls

Two offices connected through the VPN tunnel.

Office 1 Sonicwall LAN IP: 192.168.1.1

Office 2 Soincwall LAN IP: 10.1.1.1

    Question:

Created a local user account with full administrator access for the two sonicwalls. The local administrator account gets the following error message when you try to connect to the web interface to web Office FW of the subnet 2 interface 1 office.

"User login has not allowed here"

The default Administrator account is no problem connecting, but the secondary admin account I made to this question. Now, if I use a web browser on subnet 2 to the Office of a local computer secondary admin account has no problem connection on subnet 2 Office.

    Any ideas on that?

Looks like you need to activate the user on the VPN connection. This is possible by configuring the VPN and going in the Advanced tab.

  • image to the user login screen

I know that this subject has been discussed several times, but I can't seem to identify my particular problem.
On my login screen - before a user has logged in - the image of user seems to have a photo randomly.  I don't want to use that particular image, but I can't find where this image is.  If I knew where it was stored, I could at least change it.  (In fact, I like the image - I just want to be able to manipulate the picture a bit).
And so others don't waste their time posting, I already use a USER/GUEST image file customized for users.

    Suggestions are welcome.

I doubt that it would be in this resource, simply because it's OEM partner.  Except if you're talking about the login screen background and not user profiles (I've seen some manufacturers put their pictures there).  But no I don't know what resource profile default user picture is stored in.

Why don't you change in the Panel?

This means generally that something in your user ID's all files got corrupted.  To fix it, create another user and copy the contents of the current ID in the new.  Click Start-> Control Panel-> user accounts.
