prepare the side edge of the paper for printing

Hey all,.

You know there are books that are thick and have an edge where the pages meet. This advantage is often the name of the book icon, author and editor. I'm not sure what it's called this edge, but if the pages are 6 x 9 inches and you have the whole page filled, where you're supposed to, but this advantage which could be half an inch in the indesign document so that a printer knows where to put it?

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply. Where do you get 17.5 of? If the total width is 11 and so 5.5 is back and front is 5.5 and column spinal.5 isn't 11.5?

2 x 8.5 = 17, +.5 = 17.5, but the height won't be 11, 8.5.

Covers are usually a file separated for any sort of "more coverage" publication. Either size will be different, or the stock will be, and that means they run separately on the press. In CS5, it is possible to use the tool Page make a cover that is part of the same file, using the separate pages for back bover, spine, cover, cover page, within the spine and inside cover back, but it will be the rare printer who wants to receive such a file.

  • How to prepare the PDF for printer when you print spreads with bleeding

I have created a 12 - page document that is willing to go to printer. The front and rear cover a bleed on it and not too sure how to prepare the file.

I sent unique pages with printer in the past harvest files so they can print as a booklet on their end, but this one is a little tricky because of the purge. I have been able to manually create a file of InD 11 x 17 and throw out and export that in PDF with crop marks, but something tells me that this is not the best way.

For this work, I send you the original InD file so the printer can do everything they need to do to make things, but I would like to know for future reference.

    Thank you in advance!

A 12-page document would print on 3 sheets of paper, so inside purge (on the back) probably won't be a problem, so you can set it to 0, or let the same thing that the bleed on the outer edges and let the tax to the printer software ignore it (assuming you let the printer do its work to impose). Send a PDF of 12 pages (with bleed) in consecutive order would be normal childbirth.

But still, when you have a question like this, you should call and ask what they want to the printer.

  • Office jet 6500 has HP cannot load the paper to print.

HP officejet 6500 has failed to load the paper to print. I tried with just a sheet all the way to a full attack, but the machine can pick up a sheet to print. It's fixable?

I remove the tray paper completely from the printer and make sure that it is not a piece of paper caught in the entry in the printer rollers.

So, check the steps in the document found here for steps solve problems when a printer won't come from paper.

    I hope this helps.
