  3. There is evidence of success update here. Only difference is its Compaq Presario C797EE but C771US not and was able to upgrade CPU Core 2 Duo T9300. Is it possible to upgrade series C700 (C797EE) to Intel C2d Extreme X 9000 processor. If this is not the case, what is the max for the chip set used in C797EE.

  4 NT are different for Intel T9300 and others by 35W 44W or any other factor, will they perform the upgrade, if yes then please provide last possible list compatible CPU my current chip-set

  Updated for intel T9300 as reference. probably could support the x 9000, but it was much more expensive is not a value

  -Memory:

  I was skeptical with past more than 4 GB, however, currently functioning 6 GB (2 X 4). foung are not accidents of errors due to modules. Works perfectly.

  . After these updates, I installed small SSD, which added to the startup that gave more boost to the system.

  Conclusion:

  This unit of 8 years demonstrated startup, transformation and loading speeds that could be compared to couple of old machines, 6 GB working memory space that can accommodate witout heavy programs using the file (actually disabled) Exchange and on the storage of Tera bytes to store every necessary thing making the year becomes mordern General phone use.   I have Compaq Presario C700. There: 1.73 GHz Pentium Dual-Core Mobile Processor T2370, up to 2 GB DDR2,

  Recently, I noticed that the laptop stops frequently when I'm listening to music, watching movies, or sometimes when you work. I did some research on the problem and I found that most people say find the manual on COMPAQ.com and watch the plug in order to open the laptop, then spray/clean fans / or heating of the parts. Is it the right thing to do.

  Several times a laptop overheating is directly related to the cooling of the processor. The main culprit is the fan. The fan draws in air from the bottom and it blows on the side. It will also suck in the hair, dust and other debris. Often this kind of thing is trapped by the heat sink and the wire time accumulates in a layer that stifles the cool air, go to the processor, making the fan to redouble their efforts.

  What I recommend is to take a canned air and blow out vents in the side and the underside of the laptop. If after that you still have overheating problems and your laptop is under warranty, you can take your laptop to an authorized Service Center HP and ask them to clean the fan and the heat sink.   If it is out of warranty, consider looking for the service manual for your specific model, in the manual it is patterns to disassemble the laptop. It is much easier that remove a motherboard, so don't feel intimidated by the idea of clean the fan. Also you can remove the heat sink and then remove the thermal grease and apply a new layer, which also helps reduce heat related issues.

• Presario C700: laptop computer monitor

  There is backlight of my laptop came out, and when I checked the cable for the monitor, I noticed that the cable has a few threads that are broken (warranty laptop was gone until I checked the cables) and I was wondering how it would be to get the cable replaced so that the monitor can be used again.   I can't get my presario c700 to connect to the internet. get only the local connection. I tried using the website of compaq, microsoft, and atheros site. Nothing works. I downloaded a bunch of different drivers. I found several forums with links to the drivers who have helped, but when I click on them they cannot be found. Extremely frustrated. All my other devices connect completely so I know it isn't my router.

  I'm sorry. HP did not provide Windows 7 drivers for your laptop.

  Windows XP drivers are not a problem. If your computer uses a processor Intel and the chipset driver chipset can be found at Intel.  Download and run CPU-z to determine whiich chipset and processor are installed.

  Next... Navigate to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
  Ignore XP when it complains.
  Reset.

  You may have just install Google Chrome on Vista, but it will crash if your machine has the Cyberlink Youcam software anyway. Try different browser such as Firefox or use an earlier version of Internet Explorer.
