Presario V6137US base system in Device Manager device
I'm working on a laptop Presario V6137US reference number. I reinstall windows XP Pro (SP3 with all updates installed) download and installed all the drivers and updates to firmware BIOS on the HP support Web site. The problem is that there are 3 basic system devices in device under PCI Bus Manager | Intel (r) 82801 PCI Bridge - 2448.
The other problem is that there's only 4 GB of ram installed, the BIOS displays but windows system properties see the 256MBs. The computer runs very slowly even if it is a new installation of Windows.
Hello:
You need this driver for basic system devices.
I don't know why memory pays little.
Did you install XP with the speed of BIOS setting in AHCI or IDE mode?
The setting can be labeled SATA Native Mode and it will be enabled (AHCI) or disabled (IDE).
If you have installed in IDE mode, it is probably because of the slowness.

I have four errors appearing in my device manager, three Base system device and an unknown device, and I don't know what they are or where to find the drivers (since I don't know what they are). In addition, the battery will recharge not (it doesn't seem to be anything wrong with her physically). I wonder if the errors below are related to the battery issue. Hello:
I would say your model motherboard is endangered.
If your model has an AMD processor with the nVidia chipset, these motherboards had major problems after a few years of use. Video no longer works, audio disappears, reader DVD disappears, disappearing wireless, card reader closes.
As for the problem of the wireless card, which is enough easily fixed by installing this driver if your laptop is the Atheros wireless card.
The without wire to your laptop has not yet disappeared, then you are lucky at the moment.
I would say that you're due for a new laptop.

Hello:
It's the card reader Ricoh needing drivers.
I doubt that hanging on startup has nothing to do with the missing pilot.
(Re) install the chipset driver and see if that helps.
If this is not the case, go into the BIOS and run the hard drive diagnostics test and see what it reports.
Also, one of your memory modules may be peeling you. Test each of them, a facility in time, by starting your PC with only one installed in time. See if the problem goes away when one or other of the memory of the chips is deleted.
Be sure to remove the battery and the a/c power before working inside your laptop.
Maintenance manual is on the link below where you need it. Chapter 4 for R & R procedures.

Portege 2000: How to add device in Device Manager base system?
Hello
I'm trying to implement the SD card reader on my Portege 2000 running the Windows XP operating system.
I downloaded and installed the common modules and my BIOS has not updated.
I downloaded the SD host controller driver, but can't install it because I have no base system device manager for devices by reading me.
How do I get this so I can allow my SD card reader?
Thank you, happy new year
Becky
Hello
Base system device is usually the SD card controller. If you just install it should correct the problem.
SD host controller driver should be installed first. After the SD host controller driver is installed, you can install the SD memory card driver. The driver can be installed as follows:SD host controller driver,
1. from the [start] menu, select [Settings], then click [Control Panel].
2. double-click [System], and select the [Hardware] tab.
3. click on [Device Manager].
4. double-click on [device Base System].
5. Select the [driver] tab and click [set to update driver].
6. click [next] and select [display a list of drivers that are known...].
7. click [next] and select [ECS] in [hardware types].
8. click on the [disc] button.
9 locate the folder "{CD player}: Windows XP Pro\Toshiba SD Host Controller Driver" and follow the instructions on the screen.
10. Finally, restart the WindowsFor the SD memory card driver
After you have installed the SD host controller driver,
1. Insert the SD memory card into the SD slot.
2 operating system detects and starts to install the driver from SD card.
3. specify the INF ({CD player}: Windows XP Pro\Toshiba Driver SD Memory Card) and forward the installation process.
4 copy the file SDDEVMGR.dll in the Windows system directory.
Note that the system directory means \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 for Windows XP. -
DV6409ca No. Wireless and three device Base system in the Device Manager
I have a DV6409ca SNcnf73202t7 and ran Windows XP on it flawlessly for about a year.
Last night I asked my laptop and this morning I woke up to the orange light of death on the front of the computer for the wireless and three newspapers of device Base system in the Device Manager. They run:
Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 3
Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 2
Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 4
I tried making restoration of the system, the removal of the chipset drivers / wireless/network and reinstall in safe mode and the search for solutions to many other people tried to make their wireless work.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Hello:
You must download and install the Ricoh 5-in-1 card reader driver support for your laptop and driver page.
Go to Device Manager and expand network adapters.
Is the model of your wireless poster card he or she has completely disappeared from the Device Manager, does not come under the section of the network cards, or in the General list of devices such as a network controller?
If she disappeared from the view, 99% chance the connection from the motherboard to the card slot plugs into is fried.
This is a very common problem with the dv6000/dv9000 models.

Hi athithyanac.
Sony recommends to perform an upgrade of Windows 8 operating system instead of the new facility. I suggest you to perform the upgrade process so that your computer works perfectly with Windows 8 operating system.
Follow the instructions and install all the drivers in the same order: http://www.sony-asia.com/microsite/vaio/support/GetWindows8/UpgradeInstructions_EN.html
You can download and install all the drivers available from here: http://www.sony.co.in/support/product/vpcca15fg
If the problem persists, contact the Sony support team in your country for further assistance: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/

HP Pavilion dv7-3190em problems with volume band and "base system device" in Device Manager
Hello
I just installed Win 7 (64-bit) and my volume control does not work properly. It does not turn the sound up and down, but the blue band is not displayed on the screen.
In addition, I seem to have a device or devices for which there is no drivers apparently. They are listed as "base system device" x 3 in Device Manager and "unknown device" x 1.
Thanks for any help.

Download and install:
MediaSmart SmartMenu here (version 3.1.2.2 for 32/64-bit Win7)
Before installing this software, that you must have installed at least a MediaSmart package software. The best choice will be in my opinion:
MediaSmart DVD here (version 4.1.4328 for 32/64-bit Win7)
If you do not use any additional software you can use another product that is:
3VRX here (version 2.5 for 32/64-bit Win7)
Note:
Here is YouTube video that shows what can be done with the 3VRX software.

Presario V3440TU - missing Base system device driver

You are the very welcome.
Once you have installed W7, you have lost the ability to update the BIOS.
All the updates of BIOS for your model series are written for Windows Vista.
Attempt to update the BIOS while running Windows 7 is most likely able to make your laptop unusable afterwards.
I don't see that it was necessary to do anyway.

Unknown device and device Base system shown in Device Manager
Original title: VAIO VPCF24C5E
Hi all
I've updated Windows 7 Pro for Windows 8 pro on my Sony VAIO (model VPCF24C5E).Instead of using the kit to upgrade from Sony - which would be put to day/install the necessary drivers that are compatible with Windows 8, I decided to perform a clean installation and leave with the generic drivers.Everything works fine, except there is a device in the device manager that are displayed as "Unknown device" and another showing as 'System device Base' which has installed a driver, no one can be found. Also the only FN keys that work are the volume and mute keys. So I guess that one of these devices is something to do with those non-functional.I wonder if anyone can shed light on what are "Unknown" devices and "Base System" and what they are for and the drivers, I need to get them to function. It is not a major issue to be honest, as there is nothing that the FN keys do I can't access/adjust through the windows. But I would fix still rather the question anyway! Here is the link to the Support page for my laptop: http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/vpcf24c5eThanks for reading, any info on this will be appreciated.Hi James,
This problem occurs when the drivers for the laptop card reader or your computer is not properly installed.
I suggest you to download and install the latest drivers for the card from the website of Sony Reader and check if that helps.
Take a look at http://community.sony.com/t5/Windows-8/Unkonown-quot-Base-System-Device-quot-in-device-manger/td-p/122701
