  Hi Experts,

  We had a product supplied by Oracle. The presentation layer objects have read access to the user authenticated. Now, we have created more than a few tables and imported into the presentation layer. So by default, objects are having no access. We would like to change the permissions of access forbidden to read. How can we do it for all the objects at the time? We are not able to see in the roles or users to identity the authenticated user. In the level column, we have this issue.

  Ask the experts to help understand me this about this user and where do I set the permissions correctly.

  Change of access authorization shall read:

  Step 1: Resume of RPD

  Step 2: Copy the subject - (area some object you want to change the permissions)

  Step 3: Paste the topic for notebook

  Step 4: Replace the text 'no access 'to' read '.

  Step 5: In step 2 you had previously copied by any sector of activity, just remove the subject box in the presentation layer of RPD

  Step 6: Copy the text from Notepad and paste into the presentation layer of RPD

  I am curious to understand what exactly happens when you grant permissions users ' reading / writing "on objects of presentation layer? "Read" is self-explanatory... but what exactly 'writing' allows it to do?

  Used for writeback. Give read/write permission to enable writeback in the column of presentation.

  TIMESTAMPDIFF function first determines the timestamp component that corresponds to the specified interval setting. For example, SQL_TSI_DAY corresponds to the day component and SQL_TSI_MONTH corresponds to the component "month".

  If you want to display the difference between two dates in days using SQL_TSI_DAY, unlike butterflies SQL_TSI_MONTH and so on...

• Google Drive not visible in the tree structure Diadem Navigator

  Hello!

  In our company, we use Google Apps. Google Reader is a handy tool to use to ensure the instant backup of your files. However, my problem is I don't think Google Reader in the Navigator tree structure, at least not systematically. There were occasions where the drive was visible, but now I can't find. The reader has no doubt exists and is accessible in Windows Explorer. Anyone know what could be the problem and how to fix it (except avoid Google Drive as working space)?

  Thanks for your suggestion, it worked very well worked.

  But before I tried to add a new drive, I've been playing with different modes in the browser tab. I discovered in the mode 'Data bank' with 'My computer' as source (or root), the directory structure has no problem to display Google Reader - works fine.

  High til' today, I didn't know there are two display modes available, I've always been using the mode "data search". In the mode "Data search" Google Reader does not appear when you try to navigate to the local C drive. In the 'data' finder Google Reader mode is only available when add you it as a drive in Windows Explorer.

  So long story short, if you want to have easy access without problem to your Google Reader in DIAdem, add it as a drive in Windows Explorer.

  I am fairly new to OBIEE, and I need to know what Siebel/fields make up a particular field in the presentation layer. I can put it back together at the physical layer in the repository, but I need to know the exact domain name / fields in Siebel. I've attached a screenshot of the source of the column of the repository, and I don't know where to look further. It is said it is derived from "sum (Fact_W_AGREE_F.GLOBAL1_TOTAL_AMT)", but I don't know what Siebel field is "GLOBAL1_TOTAL_AMT". I also tried after the mapping in Informatica Powercenter Designer and I can't seem to find the correct field.

  

  Also, if I may ask... Why are there 2 tables of facts in the column Type of Source? What does that mean?

  Outside the option proposed by Christian, you can also use the document of ETL data lineage to identify the source column. ETL team normally maintain such a document in each project. If you use BI Apps and you have not created custom fields, you can use the data lineage guide provided by Oracle. Screenshot of the doc is attached below.

  I'm having a time difficult trying to rename a column in the presentation to 11.1.1.9 layer - even if I uncheck 'use the logical name Colmn' the "name" box does not become white, it remains grey. Am I missing something simple? I thought I could rename objects in the presentation layer to make them more user-friendly for some reason any?

  I need to change the names of columns in the presentation layer. I don't need just the beginning of a Word to be capitalized. I have to go to MDB layer and use the wizard to name change and get all the columns again to the presentation layer. We have a lot of columns manually so would be very laborious. I try to in the presentation layer itself using wizard to change of name, but somehow the 'next' field only is not highlighted to go to the next step. Any suggestions? Also if I change any column name in the presentation manually layer also should I change the name of MDB layer as well.

  I guess that this happens because you have already changed the names of column to upprecase. You can reanme lowercase and then try to change the first letter of the names of columns to uppercase.it should solve the problem.

  I need to change the order of columns in the presentation layer. I want the columns of the first to come down and shoot a few important columns on top. I'm trying to drag-and - drop, but it does not work. No idea how to do it.

  Double-click the table Pres. layer in the administration tool, select your column, use the buttons and low. IM pretty sure that you can drag and drop in this window as well.

  Is there a way to re - order the presentation layer in the BI Server repository? Currently, if I add something new to a table in a field - it is always placed at the bottom. Also, if I add a new table - it is also set down. Then I have to remove everything below where I want it--and add it back. It seems that there must be an easier way! Any help is appreciated more.
