• Edition of SCORM

  I published a course and follow the instructions to create a package SCORM 1.2 taken in charge. When I publish the file, I get a zip files, but no manifesto or xsd. I do not understand a folder from supported SCORM in publication record. Shouldn't be, I get the support folder and the imsmanifest.xml file should not be created and placed in the zip file. I am using Captivate 2.

• Stuck on the loading of Adobe Presenter screen when the publication of SCORM.

  SCORM presenter Edition only gives me the loading of Adobe Presenter screen. I tried the two download packages of LMS and looks just an index.htm and viewer.swf into browsers. Any suggestions about how to go beyond the loading screen?

  Try to copy slides to project to a new empty project and try to publish and see if you get the loading screen.

  I recently published a mutli scorm using 7 Captivate and scorm Packager multi.

  Eveyrthing works very well when I publish every scorm 1.2 content and use multi conditioner after scorm. It works very well in my LMS (moodle and Dokeos).

  But when I publish each content scorm 2004 and after use multi scorm Packager, my dish does not work in my LMS. A new window is open, but nothing is displayed.

  Test your SCORM 2004 content on SCORM cloud. If this works it OK, ask that your Dokeos contact what with their LMS when it comes to SCORM 2004.  Not all support LMS SCORM 2004.  But there are a few different editions of SCORM 2004.  Captivate allows you to set up your output for 2nd, 3rd, or 4th edition.  Perhaps Dokeos supports only one of these results.

  I have a 13 'reader' page where the learner should only view the slides, and when they get to the end, near the course.

  I'm on Saba 5.4.3.  I'm editing of SCORM 1.2 but can not seem to get 'course' to go to the "transcript".

  I have tested almost all combinations of 'settings' (though - the right - which is deceiving me).

  Here are the parameters that make me show the 'completed' in the 'TOC' courses still closing remains in inscriptions.

  I tried to use '0% ', I used a different number point of view "Slide".

  I suggest that you use a button instead of a quiz question since you must properly configure the issue so that he won't have that one click on the button submit.  Otherwise it will take two clicks per user. To submit and another click to progress.  A normal button will always work with a single click.

  Just add a normal Captivate to the second last slide and this button the option Report of Quiz with a score of 1.

  Label this button something like click here to complete this Module or similar, so that all learners get the idea they REALLY NEED to click on this button or else their courses are no more.  Simply adjust as continue or go to action page based on the success of the button action.

  Do the last slide in the film quite short, maybe a second or two. Set preferences > action of end of project-to-project stop or close project, depending on what seems better to work with your LMS.  If you throw all the course modules in a window for the SCORM player, you can often use close project.  But if you spear the course content in the SCORM player, you will find that some LMS will not allow the Close command project and project to stop is a better option.

  If it's any consolation, you shouldn't need to do this just to have your course to complete, but yours isn't the only LMS that does this with Captivate content.

• Animation Flash has resized in edit mode after update to Flash Player 6/18

  I have an animation of size 700 * 415 developed in Flash imported into a page of 800 * 600 in Captivate, and using, click area for interactions within the program. Before updating Flash Player last Friday (18/06/2010), the animation presents editing Captivate like 700 * 415 on the page correctly, but resizes to really small after I updated the Flash Player. He still work correctly in preview but is more present than 700 * 415 in edit mode.

  This makes the Flash + click interaction a difficult solution for our project of the box that I won't be able to place the box click to the appropriate location on the screen without testing 100 times preview. Anyone has the same problem or can direct me to a solution?

• printer via usb router two computers to access

  I have a Canon iP4300 printer connected to my router via a USB port. I am running Windows7 Home Premium (x 86 on my laptop (connected WIFI)) and Windows7 Home Premium (64-bit) on my office (LAN connected).

  The printer works fine from my laptop - it was the first to be connected to the printer.

  However, during one attempt of the same exact configuration of my desktop (again) - I get "the printer cannot be contacted over the network.
  I used the own methods windows for the installation of the printer and it was OK and went through the Setup without a hitch. It's only when I got to print a test page that nothing happened. On verification of the device in printers and devices that I noticed an exclamation point on this printer on execution of the troubleshooter, and were done with the above result.

  A question, I thought that can be a problem, is that two computers use the same port (9100) even if I started adding the printer, while the laptop was on and Windows seemed to correctly identify it.

  Especially if you know the basic stuff like the feature of tables in database system, ACLs, roles, users, family and fine, use Active basic Flex, presentation edition, what are the useful attribute in the tag sites as rendering webcenter: calltemplate, insite: calltemplate, but you should know some of the important tags that is majorly in WCS and caching strategies , Advanced type interface UI, UI contributor, WEM UI, feature Gadget of the community, how to search engine works in WCS and little more. But if you work around all these surely you will erase the certification of sites 11.1.1.8 webcenter.

• Captivate 8 bookmark "glued".

  Hi, I have a fairly long lesson.   If I leave and raise it before slide 39, the bookmarking function is as expected. If I exit and restart AFTER slide 39 it still restarts in slide 39. This happens in the clouds so much my scorm LMS. I tried IE and Chrome, allowed Max and even deleted and recreated slide 39 but no change.

  Anyone got any ideas on why the bookmark appears to be 'stuck' on a slide?   Thank you

  Are you edition of SCORM 1.2?

  If so, there are so many characters only you can store (4096) in the suspend_data. For SCORM_2004 this is 64000.

  Try the 2004 edition.

• IE11 error, I think

  I am using Captivate 8, IE11 and creating a package for Moodle 2.7 SCROM. When I publish the project it works very well in IE11. When I publish the project for SCORM 1.2 and Moodle. I get the following error when I try and see:

  

  I'm new to editing of SCORM. I see no settings in Adobe to set the level of document Manager. I tried to view the site in compatibility mode and get the same error. When I press F12, I enter the debugger and have actually not thinking the code to get any output. Our company has standardized on IE11. I don't know how to do or how to set up my project. Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated!

  After several searches, I discovered that we had a company policy set to IE 11 to view our site using IE8 settings. I got that strategy removed on the Moodle site and everything works fine. Just an info

• Report total time of LMS

  I work in 7 Captivate and editing courses SCORM 1.2 s and the downloading of an LMS. For some of my classes a total time is indicated, and it is not for others. I see no difference in the way I put courses in place. Is there a setting that handles this? Here are the screenshots of the setting that I put in place. They are the same on two different courses, one being reported and the other is not.

  

  Thanks Rod to scan it. After working with the LMS administrator, they discovered that there is an error on their end.

  Captivate automatically try to capture this information and report.

  OK - leaning on the old version of how to cut the transparent tab found on another thread:

  • Seamless tab is enabled by default. You can disable it with a simple editing of the file .html of the lesson in your publication.
    1. Open the html file in Notepad.
    2. Locate the line that defines your flash animation. It will look like:

  so - since I have a class that makes my tab of accessibility through the LMS window tester at least twice on every slide before entering the course - turn off seamless tabbing will keep the focus in the course file? If this isn't the case - what will be?

  Are you edition of SCORM? Output SCORM changed with 6 Captivate, and now it's another file you have to edit to add transparent tab (although in 7 they added an option at the time of publication, I think). Try to open the SCORM_utilities.js if you have it and look at the end of the file. You should see something like this:

  As the agglomerates that will set your specific question, I do not know, but it's worth a try.

• HTML export is not available

  I have a project built in CP4 I am trying to publish and download on my LMS. When I look at the box output Options dialog box after selection to publish "Export HTML" option is grayed out and I can't select it. When I publish in this way, the designated html file does not launch the SWF file. Is it possible to reactivate this option in the output Options dialog box? I tried all sorts of things and can't be re-activated. I noticed that it is available in other projects and it is also available if I start a new project, so it seems that it is something in the settings for this project maybe?

  There may be nuances to it, but if I publish a SCORM compliant project for download in an LMS, I always select the ability to publish in a .zip file. That seems to keep CP... edition of SCORM is correct in it.

  So if you want to test the lesson outside the LMS, just decompress the .zip...

  Before you buy a new Mac, as a test, save your user files, erase the hard drive, install Mac OS X and then install only your most used applications. It should work like new.

  Any model of Mac bought today, will run Keynote, and Photo editing with ease.
