prevent an editable region once in British Colombia.

Hi all, so once a site is published in British Colombia (because I'm a premium partner) how to prevent the change on the regions?... (like the logo of the company for example)

is it possible to Muse or to change the html code of BC'editor (or another text editor) and remove the ' here: editable "in all regions, we do not want to be editable?

hope to hear from you guys soon.

YD.

Hi Yd,

You are right when you say you want to change the HTML of BC admin code to disable the ice for desired regions. This post on the forum will give you detailed information on this: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1807#main_Restricting_editing_capabilities_on_specific_pa GHG

See you soon!

  • Error in adding an editable region in the nested template header

I have a basic model for the website (creation of main menus) and a secondary model using this basic model, which establishes a common table, on the one hand of the site layout. After you create the PHP to drive page, I need to lock this secondary nested region - otherwise any edit I make on my secondary & quot; -definition of table & quot; model is not passed to the last pages using the secondary model. I created a secondary edit box successfully in every part of the & lt; body & gt; region, and of course, it locks text outside the secondary editable help DW says it should. So far so good.

Now the problem - I can not create a region inside the & lt; head & gt; combo box to lock this region too. Normally we'd like keywords and so on to be variable from one page to another, but as I am filling variable keywords from a database, it makes sense to lock the & lt; head & gt; Too much. Does anyone know why that generates an error & quot; failed to create an optional region here & quot;? Is there anything we can do about it?

    > by whom?
This is DW CS3 help on nested models:

A nested template is a template whose design and editable regions is based on another model. Nested models are useful for the control of content in the pages of a site that share many design elements, but have some differences between pages. For example, a basic model can contain broader design areas and be usable by many contributors of content on site, while a nested model can further define the editable regions in the pages of a specific section of a site.

    > the solution
I just figured out how to lock the header in the document of reference to TechNote 16416. It is referenced in the called DW CS3 help page

Prevent an editable region to a nested model

In summary - insert the marker @@("") @ in the editable area.

I tried it and it works perfectly! The cephalic region is now locked in the nested template, so the changes in this area went from child pages. That's the answer.

Thanks for that. This looks like a more manual approach, however.

Very strange, I can see them on my screen in Firefox and IE7.

  • Is it possible to edit the HTML in a site of Muse generated in British Colombia?

I want to edit the HTML code that is generated in British Colombia, so I can move the JavaScript in the header and the body.  What is safe or not recommended?  If I bumble I can still download the site of Muse and crush my mess.

    Hello

It is not recommended, but yes, you can make changes in British Colombia.

These changes will not merge in your file of Muse.

In addition, you must make sure that all links (Menu, links to JS and css are updated on each reference page)

And if you're wrong, you can publish the site again in Vancouver to overwrite the changes.

I advise you to try this only if you have tried all the other suggestions.

You can uninstall it but double click on 'uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud' located at Applications > cloud Adobe Creative

You can also use the cleaning of adobe tool to uninstall.

  • checkbox will not be enabled by default in British Colombia...

    Hello

I hope someone has a solution to this problem. I have a "subscribe to newsletter" box on a web page, and I want it to be enabled by default. I know not how to change the code (I added "checked") but Bc deletes my changes to the html code every time I have save my changes (whether site edition, or the publication of the DreamWeaver page Bc). This happened to someone else? Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Here is my code:

    < b >

    < td > < input type = "checkbox" name = "CampaignList_23748" checked / > subscribe to the Newsletter < table >

    < /tr >

and once I have save changes (British Colombia to the browser) - or - post the page of Dw, it is up to:

    < b >

    < td > < input type = "checkbox" name = "CampaignList_23748" / > subscribe to the Newsletter < table >

    < /tr >

    Any ideas?

This is because the markup is actually checked = "checked".

  • Change this to British Colombia

    I can't seem to be able to change a Muse site transferred in British Colombia, using the SiteManager/Pages/edit option all the getting is a line of code like below {module_json template="/page-templates/about-us.tpl" json="/data/collection-u8979.json"}

You can do technically always getting to the content in the 'Content holders' section of the admin. Or depending on the content being edited, it may be in the model tab of page.

  • Is it possible to have a job board registration where the following happens in British Colombia?

Is it possible to have a Web site from the list where the following happens in British Colombia:

    3 groups of members:

    • Owner of the website (Administrator)
    • Employers
    • Entrepreneurs

Employer lists a description of the job to the site via a web form and logs on to the secure Web site. This description is assigned a number of automated work.

Once the work has been registered, an email is sent to contractors in the area (i.e. a city) to inform them that a work has been recognized in their field, with a link to the new ad job.

Some confidential details about the job description are not listed until a contractor accepts a job.

When a contractor agrees work (i.e. is the first to apply for a job), there comes the following:

    • An automatic e-mail is sent to the employer (with the number of job, the contractor coordinates and link to the list of works)
    • An automatic e-mail is sent to the contractor (with the job number and the link to the list of works)
    • The work of registration is no longer available to other entrepreneurs (either work is still listed but without option for other entrepreneurs to apply OR work, it is no longer displayed publicly on the Web site).
    • The contractor is able to view confidential information on the job description.

Once the contractor has completed the work, they can log on to the Web site and mark the task as completed. In this case, an automatic email is sent to the employer and the contractor.

The final message to the contractor will provide an automated Bill of the owner of the site (or it could be a separate email).

Yes, Web Apps will be involved.

I've seen job boards created before the BC but you have no examples to point to currently.

  • How can I change the campaign e-mail templates that come with British Colombia?

Just upgraded my CB subscription allow me to send email campaigns.  I played with the new features that came with my (webMarketing) upgrade. The proposed models are nice and I would like to find a way to change them.

For example, how can I change the background color of the newsletter?  How can I change the size of an image?

I guess that people read this and automatically know that I don't know coding site - so maybe that my question should be: what I need to know HTML coding to modify/create a newsletter?  I guess I thought I could do a newsletter as I did my Muse site - with a flexibility of design and Visual simplicity without having to know the code.  Am I wrong in thinking this?

Maybe I don't understand the Modules 'Toolbox '.  Also, I keep the light as "page templates" can be found under the tab "Website manager" and I don't have that available, it's because of my membership level?

Help, please! I watched several videos online and can't go very far.  I have access to Dreamweaver if that helps.

    Kind regards

It comes from the Internet, you must know HTML, CSS to the NVA less to be able to make a number of changes. While the editor you can resize the table elements without going into code view, you can change anything in British Colombia, including e-mails by editing the HTML. At the very least, you will see html on an email to view and copy/modify the code view.

  • When I publish Muse ecommerce form in British Colombia gets deleted

I was part of the muse website and part in British Colombia, now when I post to muse it removes the shape of e-commerce antinutritionnel checkout.

    How can I avoid this?

    Hello

It is by default, as when you update the site from Muse and the form that you created on the end of BC will be replaced because he has not given in the annex.

So the process would be, create the shape in British Colombia and use site once before collecting data using the newly created form. After that, you can update the site of Muse and form will not get deleted again.

    Thank you

  • How to build a business using Muse and British Colombia

    Hello

I thought to create a small business using Muse and British Colombia.

But before to do this, I need answers to some essential questions.

This 'flow' would work with BC and Muse.

    1. the customer contacted me about a Web site they want.

    2. they give me information such as what should be included in the site (portfolio, version mobile etc.)

    3. I design everything in Muse

    4. I created an account for them with the domain requested in British Colombia (so they sign up and pay monthly in British Colombia)

    5. I have download the design of Muse to their account of BC.

    6. they can change in the browser.

    Fact.

It is a process that would work with Muse and BC?

    Here it is:

1 will they buy Muse and BC or BC only if they go only to update text and documents not design (templates)?

    2. can I download my account to Muse on their account of BC (because it's two different Adobe ID)

    3. will they be able to update the mobile version too, even without Muse?

    4. will they be able to create pages that will appear in the navigation only using BC?

    Best regards

    GraphicalMarc

    Hello

Q1. They can only buy BC, because they can update the text using Inbrowser edition.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Muse/tutorials/in-browser-editing-Muse-part-1.html

Q2. To do this, you must be administrator on their site, so while edition of Muse, you will get the site listed in muse.

Q3. In the edition browser for the Mobile Version also works well. Check this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/6157870#6157870

    I hope this helps.

  • Importing files to the muse of British Colombia

Hi, I downloaded my site British Colombia, and now I want to edit/import my files in the site to another PC/Mac for further editing. How the I proceed?

    Best regards from Baard.

You take your .muse file at the other system with installed Muse and then change there through Muse. Otherwise, if it's just some text and foreground images that you want to modify in the frontend of site BC and then be able to synchronize changes to your .muse file, use the browser in function - http://www.adobekb.com/working-with-in-browser-editing_pt01.htmlof edition.

  • "Forms of gravity" in British Colombia?

    Hi there guys...

I wonder - is there a function in British Colombia as forms of gravity (for wordpress) where you can choose 1 of 3 different people (for example) to be notified about submitting the contact form?

for example, the person who submits the form gets 3 options via a drop down menu that asks them who they want to contact:

    (1) sale

    (2) support

    (3) accounts of

You put in place so that if they choose 1) email will go to the person in charge of the sale, if they choose 2) the email will go to the person responsible for the support... etc etc.

    Is this possible?

I want to just reduce the vastness of the contact form (vastness is a Word).

    Cheers, Dave

Hi David, you can get the form to use a different workflow in a drop-down list by the way Yes.

    • Create a number of workflow via Administration-> workflow. Every workflow must notify appropriate personnel. Each workflow you get a link to contact the right role.
    • Make a note of each ID workflow (this is displayed in the bar blue when creating or editing a workflow or in the link when you hvoer in the list)
    • Create a drop-down list with the workflow regarding the web form now:

Repalce those fake ID with the ID of the workflow and the text with the names you want.

It should be, the key is the name in WorkflowList.

  • Can spry menu cause editable regions?

Hello. I have two questions menu spry that I hope someone can answer:

    1. I use a horizontal menu spry in my template for my navigation bar (pictured below). But I would like to make the "Menu" tab Middle an editable, so that I can change its destination of links on certain pages of the subsites. Is this possible? I tried to insert an editable region in the spry, but Cree Dreamweaver warnings against me and, when I went anyway, the navigation bar broke out on my pages.

    narBar example.png

    2. I want to only the 'Previous' and 'Next Page' tabs to display on some subpages (and maybe to hide tab "Menu" way). I do not think that an optional region will work in the spry, so I tried just type the new tabs on each side of the menu spy. But, once again, Dreamweaver got mad at me and broke my navigation bar.

Any suggestions on how I can either work around? Or sprys are not otherwise flexible? I was wondering if I could create two different navbars and make the two optional regions, but still, I don't think it's possible.

Thanks to all those who can help you.

    Hmm.

I've never considered part of an editable Spry menu bar, but you can do it. Simply ensure that you delete it or don't overlap the necessary code, and I think the submenus will be problematic.

When you want to change a menu item, do it in code view, and then select all the contents of the list item:

  • Point 1.1
  • This way, you will be able to change the link and the text of the item...

If Dreamweaver warns you that you are working in a block element, don't you worry about this. You know, and it won't hurt anything in this case.

There will be other ways to build local versions of the menu. If you need the submenus, you must remember to add some class designations, which you certainly can do it if you're careful. I personally would opt for several different menus controlled from the style sheet. It would be a bit more complicated, but then you don't have to remember to go to all the pages to set the menu. I don't know your project, so I couldn't say if it would be a great loss of time or useful. If you were to use the same menu on several pages, it can be useful. If each page is different anyway, make your way!

    In addition:

I did a modifiable menu item and the code looks like this: each editable region will have its own name.

  • Warning against a DWT editable region

I ran into a situation where I need to copy and paste sections of an existing page in the regions can be changed to a new page (obviously based on a model).

After doing some cut and paste into the new document in Code view, I got a warning (when I saw in the browser) I did the changes in a non-editable region. But if I switch to design view and copy/paste works very well.

I can actually go into the code in the new page, add a space in the middle of an editable and error law, but get no error in Design view.

I can debug the model, but I can't understand what he could possible cause the situation. The model looks very good and I have worked a bit with it over time. If anyone can offer some possible causes?

    Tom

I am so embarrassed and again learned a very basic lesson.

The embarrassment is that I received this notice before (post all first) and, once more, has forgotten. Learning is how unpredictable errors in html and css can be.

The HTML for the validated model. Then I took all of the html code for one of the pages that I have been having trouble with which also validated.

I decided to run the css validation and...

Two errors that popped up: one had to do with an error of coding for the border (I coded to unique 5px #0F0 when he should have be 5px solid #0F0.) The other had to do with a list-style-image, that should be list-style-position.

Here's my humbling relearn: by correcting these errors css seemingly innocent and unrelated to the problem, I got with the change in the CODE and SPLIT view went!

I appreciate the user forums online a lot more especially this one. One of these days I'll get used to do a full validation before asking for help.

Murray, once again, thanks for reminding me what I need to do before asking for help.
