Prevent development applications to fly.

I read a few threads where a Microsoft supports engineers claims that Windows 7 has a built-in feature to prevent applications from stealing the focus on the current application. Dozens of users responded that this is simply not true, giving detailed examples of virtually any application being able to exhibit this behavior. Another Microsoft engineer, then makes the claim that is was illegal for Microsoft to prevent applications from stealing focus, even when allowing such behavior is a security risk, risk of privacy and risk of deleting valuable information. I don't know any developer who would defend their right to implement this behavior. How a software company that dominates the world can continue to allow such a pain the * behavior to continue, with the majority of users angry at this hole of usability?

It amazes me that Microsoft had such a decisive step in usability with this one, it's an irritating problem that affects users of Windows 7 * every single day *. Also I really don't understand why all the forums I've read on this topic suggests claiming that this is not a problem and go just quiet once many people point the original poster Microsoft backup.

A simple example using all Microsoft software is Windows Live Messenger (I think any version will do, but I use 15.4). If I am connected, then connect or disconnect from / to a connection VPN connection messenger is lost and Messenger flies immediately developed to tell me what happened.

In addition, Netbeans (6.9 or 7.0) is guaranteed to fly target loading upward.

I wonder if part of the problem is a misunderstanding on either side of this argument about what constitutes home fly. If I start the loading of an application, then put another (e.g. Explorer) window in the foyer, I expected that application to load in the background, not jump out as soon as it is ready. Everything that comes in the home without my clicking on or alt-tabbing steals the focus and cause me pain.

Hi forum, thank you for taking the time to read my post.

If your responses include anything Microsoft related, please dont reply.

Simulators will not work on just * nix. You can try the wine, but your best bet is parallels or VMWare.

If you want to do everything and use only a device for the test, you still have a chance to be * nix only. I think he was talking about a plugin for linux, but I doubt he'll go anywhere if it isn't out yet. You can always use the BB Ant tools, make a maven plugin or build everything yourself via command line.

Basically, it is not supported, but it is also not impossible... just search around to pick up the pieces.

  • What is the best platform to develop applications for BlackBerry 10?

    Hi all

I have developed applications for BlackBerry 6 and 7 for the last 3 years, but I am very new to BlackBerry 10. I know that most of the developer would like BB 10 is something new. I have about five years of experience in the JAVA platform, but unfortunately BB 10 is not supported it unless you develop applications for Android and the port at 10 BB.

When I checked the list of programs that are supported by BB 10, I saw C/Cpp, Cascades, HTML5 and action script among them. But which one to choose? There is where I am confused. I don't have any experience in the above mentioned technologies. If I select, I need to learn from the beginning. When I went through a few posts, I got to know many people prefer to develop in HTML5, as it is a cross-platform technology. But many have said that it may have problems of performance and the native technologies like C/Cpp, waterfalls will be the best options in terms of performance.

Can anyone suggest me the best technology to start with BB10?

Cascades is based on Qt, which is a cross-platform C++ library. It encapsulates many low level BB Native API - s for easier use, but you still have direct access to these APIs if necessary. C++ syntax is similar to Java, so it shouldn't be too difficult to pass. I suggest choosing stunts.

  • Benefits of developing applications using 4.3 to 4.2

    Hello

I m new to BB using JAVA development. I've been through a lot of posts here and the idea that I get, is that the development of applications using 4.2 running on OS 4.2 is the best way to ensure that it works on most phones.

What are the benefits of developing applications using 4.3 running on OS 4.3 4.2 more? I know he has the disadvatage of not being able to work on most phones that come out today, but I would like to know more precisely the benefits of development using 4.3 to run on the 4.3 OS 4.2 and lower versions. It would be useful, if anyone can provide information on this both from the point of view of the developer and the consumer perspective.

I don't know if this has already been answered... I could not find it nowhere m... I couldn't find the benefits of the use of 4.2, 4.3 not

    Thank you

    Subash

If your device all of which your application must support is leaving v4.3 and then you can go for v4.3 as eclipse pugin is here for that and you are familiar with eclipse, so that it is easy for you. But if you need support devices of lower version to v4.3 then you must use the version (below) you need to support the devices.

Yes, once you hear the magic words (OFA)...

In fact, no versions of JDeveloper you get OTN support OFA, only very specific downloads OAF you get from https://support.oracle.com do.

  • Prevents the application to be modified after being approved

    Hi all

    Senario:

    Prerequisites:
There is a resource configured on IOM A and it is available to ask
The approval process requires two levels of approval: 1 the User Manager and the 2nd the authorization object

Manager1 is the Manager of User1
Authorizer1 is the purpose of the authorization for resource A

    1 - User1 initiates a request access to resource A to itself.
2 - User1 must enter information before submitting the request and we denunciations considers the level of access to his account on resources. He chooses the level of 'single user '.
3 - Manager1 receives an approval task and approves it.
4 - Authorizer1 receives a task approval, but, for some reason, takes any action. (It is not in the office today)
5 - User1 goes back to the request and replaces its access level 'admin '.
6 - Authorizer1 comes back the next day and approves the request.

Problem: Only approved Manager1 because at the time he checked demand the access level is set to 'single user '. He would not grant admin access level.

    Questions (options):
    (a) is it possible to prevent the application to be modified after being approved by Manager1?
    or
    (b) is it possible to send the application for approval to Manager1 if there was no change once it has been approved?

    Thanks for an overview.
    Adriano.

There are several solutions to this. See below:

    - Either remove editing permissions for ALL_USERS of the shape of the object. If your end user would not be able to update the details of the application once it is submitted. In case the desire of the user to change the data, then it can send an email to manager to do. But the end user cannot do itself. See tab the form designer to apply permissions to objects of. It must have an entry for ALL_USERS. It is an immediate solution to your question with 0 effort.

    - Or if you specifically want that after approval only, the form data should not be updated. Then create an adapter of the entity that verifies whether or not the request is currently underway with the Manager. If this request is not with the Manager then this entity adapter throws an error shows that the application has been approved by the Manager, so it can not be changed. This would require changes as follows.

    a. you must include 2 additional fields hidden in your application form which contains the requestId and UserID. Once the end user submitted the application, you must assign this form requestID requestId field generated at the time and the other IOM userID field. You can do this with a task in the approval process by using the API of IOM.

    b. now create this map of the entity. It will have 2 variable reqId and userID. You get these attributes and IOM API check is pending with the Manager of the user request. This adapter returns true or false. False, add an error handler task.

    c. attach this adapter on the event before update of your form in the object data manager.

Now if after approval of level 1, the final user tries to update the form, it displays an error in the format of the IOM ' as the request was approved by the Manager, so it is not editable '

    This should solve your problem.

    Thank you

  • Can one App Mode prevent certain applications to run correctly?

I am trying to execute reverse Remote https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/reverse-remote/id438057551?mt=8 app in App mode on the iPod touch. This application listens to other devices running the same application and should play music draws on its own which is selected from other devices (acting as a controller). So it's basically just allows other devices to remote turn on music over wi - fi. But it doesn't seem to work while being simple application mode. Music plays at all, and the app itself is very slow. Looks like only one App Mode prevents any communication between devices.

It works perfectly in the guided access and application single mode being off.

Anyone know if its possible to make it work with single-mode App?

    Thank you!

I think you answered your own question. It seems that you want two apps to work, the music and the application opposite to work in mode app monkey. My definition, you can have only a single application by working single app mode.

  • How to prevent an application from opening at random to different workstations?

OSX El Capitan 10.11.3, MacBookPro retina

    Hi Apple Commuity,

How do you prevent a request to open randomly to different workstations?  I always liked having my my offices are as follows:

1 office 1: iTunes and Photos

2 office 2: Calendar and Mail

    3. office 3: Safari

    4. desktop 4, 5, 6...  any application you want.

However, whenever I make the jobs like that, in time, they randomly switch desktop computers somewhere else.  It is infuriating.

At first I though that it was because it was causing views/random background image, so I have disabled this feature and each office opens with a picture of El Capitan.  Workstations still randomly mix themselves and I'm always looking for where my apps will show up next.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • How to get started developing applications with Webworks

    Hi all!

So I have an idea to build an HTML5 app for use by the Office on BES10. Basically it digitizes a 2 page paper form to be used on a device (PlayBook or Android) taking advantage of the function of swipping and scrolling of screen minimizing

    Here are the details:

    (1) the office worker: take Excel data and partially fills a form (or multiple shapes - similar to mail merge) to a specific area coordinator.

    (2) the office worker: push forms pre-filled as a coordinator on a PlayBook application or another html5 client connected to BES10 (private App)

    (3) Coordinator: logs in-App to 'their space '.

    (4) Coordinator: filling out form and supports (or partially fill in form to submit later).

    (5) time stamp is applied to participate "forms" submitted.

    (6) field coordinator: can view their history of completed forms (read-only)

    (7) the office worker: can view, print, save, or extract data from forms.

How I started with this project? I have to go back and take a class HTML5 then a webworks courses?

    Thanks for your comments.

    Hello

When you think Webworks is a framework that relies on HTML5, CSS and JavaScript for its applications.

So if you are looking to develop an application, with a background in HTML5, JavaScript and CSS is certainly recommended and would be the best starting point that I can recommend.

In your case, it seems that it would also be a bit of work on the backbone (to store data on a server) for which I highly recommend looking in Node.js + Express.js (for the web server) and MySQL for any back-end storage.

WebWorks which gives you on top of that is a subset of the JavaScript APIs specific BlackBerry that allows you to take advantage of the native features (Toast messages, Push Services, etc.)
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/APIs/v2_1/

However the structure underlying and functionality is always HTML5, JavaScript and CSS.

Once your application is HTML5 writes, and you have chosen to use / not use WebWorks APIs, you can then use WebWorks to 'package' for your project of HTML5 in a file that runs on BlackBerry 10 devices.

The app itself is so standard web technology, with the ability to use native APIs via WebWorks. And WebWorks place it in a container that can be run on a physical device.

For PlayBook, it's the best starting point:
