  The camera you have is compatible with the latest version of Lightroom, which is Lightroom 6/CC.

  Please see the list of the camera supported by Lightroom: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

  You can use the DNG Converter, converts images and then import them into DNG in Lightroom.

  I use a Canon 1DX Mk II, with the latest version of the firmware.02 and I can not seem to move away the following message: "Preview not available for this file.  He constantly shows up on my camera when I try to download images from LR CC 2015.

  My Nokia icon has an option to make two versions of a photo, JPEG, and DNG.

  When I'm in the import dialog box and select the camera as an import source, the DNG files do not have an overview. They have the words "Preview not available for this file.". But, if I double click on the preview, it shows the picture very well.

  I don't understand this. If LR can read the file properly, why not show a preview in the import dialog box?

  When I try to import the same file in an acer aspire one notebook I get the following error message:

  In CS5.5, it plays OK for a few seconds and then slows down the way. Sequence created from the format of the clip (matches). GTX 285, 12 Core 2.93 (MacPro running Win7x64), same question CPU or GPU.

  Plays well in PPro CS5 Vegas 11, Windows Media Player, etc..

  This is confirmed as a bug in CS5.5. Change the name of the file to .mpg .mov is a work-around, prompting the charger in order to use a code path native Quicktime vs. This bug does not exist in CS5 (file play in real time). Adobe: wouldn't it wiser for the loader native to try to load the file first and if she can't, define metadata to load via Quicktime for subsequent loads?   I have LR installed 4.2. I just tried to import my D MK III 5 images for the first time and is gave me an error in the camera not recognized (409). From what I see the 5 MK III was supposed to take care of 4.1. The attached strap has set pause 4.2 the native image support? If this isn't the case, someone has installed 4.2 that recognizes the MK III files (last week)? I ran to check updates and he said I had the latest version installed and no update is available.

  Lightroom 4.2 should have no problem recognizing and importing files 5DMk3 Canon. In fact, I imported about 200 such files late last night. So, there's something else with your installation.   Not sure if anyone else has seen this.  I just got a canon T1i (500 d for you Europeans).  When I connect the camera to the computer and select Import device and select "Preview" in the import window, only JPEG images to display thumbnails.  All my RAW images appear as grey areas.  It is the first digital SLR, I've ever owned, and the first time I am really using lightroom.  It's killing my workflow plans, as I ususally upload images into folders and appoint, by category.  Without seeing the thumbnails, it is impossible to know which category what images belong to.

  Anywone have ideas?  This happens with all RAW images on all cameras?  Is this a problem T1i?

  As John said, use a card reader for added speed, data security and flexibility. However, if you use a direct connection to your camera under windows, your camera must be in mass storage (called PC connection menu canons USB) mode. Some Canon DSLRs do not have a mass storage mode (Canon booh!) and you'll see never seen in the Lightroom Import dialog box.

  This device requires 6.5 Lightroom or camera raw 9.5 or later. The "latest version" of Lightroom 5 not will provide support for this camera. And the only camera raw version that will support the camera is only compatible with Lightroom CC 2015. You'll either be upgraded Lightroom and Photoshop, or else you can download and use the free DNG Converter to create copies of your NEF, DNG files.
