• Create PDFs from MS Word documents with DWG files embedded

  
  Using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, I regularly create PDF documents from MS Word documents with AutoCAD DWG files embedded.  If I print to PDF it is well with integrated designs but if I use the plugin Acrobat text in the drawings would then become too light to see in the created PDF file.  I need to be able to convert to PDF format rather than print them in PDF format in order to have the bookmarks and links created automatically.  What parameters control the darkness of drawings ACAD contained in MS Word files when they are converted to PDF files?

  This problem was caused by the use of dynamic blocks with several line colors and thicknesses in the original DWG files.  They were used to allow the quick creation of drawings in AutoCAD for several different components that share similar attributes.  Unfortunately when these drawings are incorporated in MS Word or PDF files is created directly from these drawings, items in the drawing would randomly disappear when a PDF file created from them.  The solution is to open each offending in AutoCAD DWG file, move everything to layer zero and set the thickness of the text elements.

• Creation of secure PDF to DWG files

  Is it possible to create a PDF file of a DWG file that cannot be converted back to a DWG file (or similar) format.

  We would like to BA able to send files in PDF drawing and have no customers, suppliers and competitors can draw dimensions of them or convert them to a format usable type drawing.

  A lot of programs out there that can take a PDF and convert them into very usable drawing files. Want something that would make that extremely difficult, almost impossible to do.

  The only real answer is to use (e.g., LiveCycle DRM) digital rights management, as it is so only in cast iron to prevent any unauthorized access to the file, or allowed to print or export the pages.

  Anything else can be bypassed trivially. Although the DRM is extremely expensive.

  The hacky would be rasterized DWG files in low resolution images, so they are good enough for screen viewing but too fuzzy to reuse as CAD/CAM files.

• How to put CADD (DWG) files in a document of InD

  I receive CADD drawing which must be placed in my document.  CADD are traditionally the "DWG" files  Can I receive as DWG and import or place.  Should they be "Photoshopped" first and modified in a TIFF file.  I don't see any mention of this type of file in Photoshop and InD.  Is their reception as already changed a to PDF the only alternative?  Is there something in Illustrator which is useful.

  Open them in illustrator/CD and fix them. Convertir convert to CMYK, then check the black elements to ensure that they are black black only, not rich. Check the weight of the line to ensure that they are not ste to '0' or a very small size that do not print. then save as .ai (or eps in Cd case) and place it in Indesign.

  I have had success using the following steps:

  (1) using a free software Autodesk AutoCAD, I printed the drawing as a PDF using a print-to-PDF freeware driver. This creates a PDF version of the drawing. (Before printing I've usually turn off all layers of useless to keep the sleek flooplan.)

  (2) using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 to display the newly created PDF I use the Adobe Acrobat Reader software to copy the chart to the Clipboard by clicking on the button with the icon of a camera on it and drawing a selection box around the entire chart. Note: Zooming in on the PDF will increase the final resolution and the quality of the drawing. However, if you zoom in too far, the graph will be too large to fit in the Clipboard. In this case, you will not get an error, you're just going to end up with an empty Clipboard when you try to paste in step 3. If the Clipboard is empty, try zooming in Adobe Acrobat Reader of re - try to copy the chart to the Clipboard.

  3) once in the Clipboard, the graph can be pasted into a drawing pixel like MS Paint, Adobe PhotoShop, JASC, Visio program, etc.. I usually convert the image to grayscale or black and white to not compete with WCS color heatmap and AP information overlays.

  (4) the final step is to save the chart as a JPEG. I will usually select the best compression setting of quality (instead of smaller size), because I have to be able to read the details such as part numbers, etc. Note: it may also be useful to increase the contrast of the image for best results (if your bitmap editing program offers this feature), but this is not mandatory.

  To do this without having to buy special programs, you can find the software on the following links:

  http://www.pdf995.com (print-to-PDF freeware printer driver - using advanced settings allows you to control the DPI settings)

  MS Paint provided with Windows XP and is (generally) under START-> PROGRAMS-> ACCESSORIES-> PAINT. Although 3rd party paint programs will do a better job for the contrast settings, etc..

  While this process involves several steps that I would, it worked fine.

  I also saw an improvement of product for the WCS request can natively import the CAD files, but there was no indication regarding whether or when we might see this improvement.

  Very large, are you referring to the size of the file or the physical size? Illustrator is limited to 227.54 "for the maximum canvas size.

  When you open a .dxf or a .dwg, you should get a screen similar to the one below. Scale down if you think that your file is larger than 227.54 "in any dimension.

  

  Also, let us know what software if you have autocad and can convert your file it or need a file dwg dxf converter.   If you have a problem dl'g, you don't follow all 7 steps.  the most common mistake is not meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).
