  • DeskJet 3520: Conflict between the size of the paper, recto verso and settings without borders

With the borderless printing option on in the print preferences, my printer prints pages with margins that are too wide. So I tried to turn this setting off. However, my computer said that there is a conflict between my "Flip on Long Edge', 'Letter' and"Borderless printing"paper size options. Is it possible to have it all at the same time?

    Hello

Automatic duplex printing requires your printer increase its margins for the duplexer inside the printer to retrieve the page and flip it around.  It is a function of the printer and can not be changed therefore you cannot print without margins in auto duplex.

    Kind regards.

  • HP deskjet 3520 scan copy main: print in black ink only

does always change to print in black ink only, or is it possible to save it so I don't have to go properties, advanced to change

    Thanks robert

Welcome to the HP community @robert3591,

I read your post want to print in black ink only, from your Deskjet 3520 and how, you do not select this option, every time you print from your Windows Vista system.

I would say to change the option to print in black ink only from "Devices and printer" to contain the parameter always print in black. This is a great detailed post from my colleague @X-23 , which shows all the instructions and screenshots:

Re: I want to only print in black ink

If there are any questions or problems, please let me know! I hope this helps.

  • HP deskjet 3520: black ink does not print

My HP deskjet printer that is 2 months warranty, that I recently bought a new HP cartridges for now will not print black (other colors are all very well).
If have spent hours and hours trying to solve this problem, following all the advice on this forum - believe me, I tried to clean the vent system, cleaning of the print head. The really frustrating thing I had just bought new ink for the machine $60 thrown and now my printer does not print. I'm out $60 and I need to buy a new machine very frustrating and this machine is used very little only occasionally to print some checks and a few emails.

I promise you that this HP will not be my next choice.

    Tammy

The message here suggests to call HP Support even if your printer is no longer under warranty if the standard troublehsooting steps do not resolve not black not print on your Deskjet 3520.

If you are in the USA call 1-800-HPINVENt or Canada, also see details here.

  • DeskJet 3520: Question of an another DeskJet 3520 print after changing the ink

Well, I'm another person with a POS deskjet 3520 which ceased print just black ink because I had the audacity to change a new cartridge. I've read at least 4 other threads full of posters with this problem extending over 1 1/2 years. I tried all the 'solutions' that HP experts say to try and not one worked. The printer is 1 month out of warranty now. I tried cleaning the contacts and updated the firmware and bought a second cartridge new, just in case the first was defective. HP really has need of man up and admit they have a problem with this model and fix.

As it comes a 3520 model, you must call phone HP support, even if it is out of warranty. See the post for more details

  • HP Deskjet 3520 - why complete dump HP cartridges after putting in place new printer?

I came across the question of printing black ink not spilled on my printer HP deskjet 3520.

At first, unaware of this dysfunction, I inserted a brand new original cartridge HP 364 XL because the black ink level was low and I thought that it there was not enough black ink left black.

It has not solved the problem. After looking around on the web and on this forum, I understand that it is rather a feature of these printers. So I called HP support.

Although the warranty has expired by a month or two, HP agreed to replace it and sent a new printer (I appreciated!).

When I want to set up and start this new printer, it refuses my brand new HP364XL and requires that I have insert the cartridges that were provided with the new printer.

Why should I unload a brand new - just opened but HP black unused original cartridge?

How can I get this new printer to accept it?

I do not understand why it should not:

-C' is a waste of my money: the cartridges are not cheap. Therefore, it is not really respectful of the customer.

-C' is to lose material is environmentally irresponsible. It's not respectful of the environment.

-C' is simply absurd that HP printer doesn't accept HP cartridge.

Those are the values that HP really wants to convey?

    Overthesea,

I'm guessing here - forgive the ignorance of the truth of the facts.

HP stands behind its products - it has been proven time and time again that this is the case.  I am pleased to learn that you have received your replacement printer.

I suspect that your new printer replacement wants you install installation cartridges required for initialization of the printer.  This is a procedure that is common to the new printers technology.

Once this process is complete - a few minutes really, even if you could leave the SETUP cartridges in the printer, you can replace cartridges INSTALLATION with cartridges regular (expensive) HP that you want to use and continue life as you know.

If this is the case, the cartridges that came with this new printer are indeed marked the cartridges 'Setup '.

Your cartridges in a bag well sealed for a few moments and let the printer initialize correctly with its new cartridges.

    This can solve the problem.

    For later:

If you seal these cartridges of INSTALLATION very well (after removing the printer), you might be able to use them later if the printer decides to restore in an error state and want to use it again.  It is rare; He arrived.  Just a thought...

  • DeskJet 3520 e-all-in-one: How do I install the printer deskjet 3520e ink cartridge

  • All-in-one Deskjet 3520: NO black printing ink...

I'm very irritated right now. My printer is 3 weeks out of warranty. I just spent $ 60 + new ink cartridges today. The color cartridges are working well, but the black ink does not work. The printer acts like it is printing, but nothing appears on the paper. I see many people with this problem on this forum and other forums. I called technical support... went through an hour of "Troubleshooting" and then was disconnected. Recalled and waited 45 minutes for someone else to tell me that he would sell me another printer for $100 + y including some startup ink cartridges which only last me a very long time. I JUST bought $60 in the ink cartridges today. I tried to remove the print head with no luck. I can't take the printer apart to remove the print head. I was going to try to clean it myself, but it is impossible to disassemble the thing.

I am EXTREMELY displeased with the the customer service of hp and the feeling that they must save their product when it stops working just 3 weeks after the expiration of the warranty. I would be delighted if someone could tell me how I can solve this problem, since the printer is in condition basically new and has new ink.

It is regrettable that these products are not made to last more than a year. I will not buy another hp product.

Called customer service. They send a new printer.

    Thanks for the info.

  • Problem with black ink cartridge HP Deskjet 3520

I just replaced a (almost) empty black ink cartridge in my HP Deskjet 3520 printer, and now I get no word on paper. The printer prints photos of a text, but not the text. The test page only gives light gray instead of black values.

I put the cartridge almost empty return, but the results were the same: not a single word of the text has been printed.

Can you help me with this one?

Thanks for the reply. I cleaned up the area where the open cartridge area (square round where the ink comes out) ink and leaves the cartridge references in printer from one day to the next. By making these 2 steps, it started fine printing and quality is really good like the other. Thank you!!!
