Printer Laser Dell c1760nw for Linux/Ubuntu drivers

Hello

I bought the Dell C1760nw for my home network.

I need to print to it via Ubuntu 10.04.

So far, I was unable to locate the linux drivers. I am ready to develop linux drivers if I can get hold of the relevant specifications.

Any help much appreciated.

    Toshiba, please make good Linux - Ubuntu drivers for your USB bluetooth. I was unpleasantly surprised noting that there is no driver available for Ubuntu. Please could someone explain THE reason for such a policy failed to Ubuntu users?

    The problem is Ubuntu here. The Bluetooth adapter is directly connected to the USB bus, so it should work without any problems if the OS is delivered with the appropriate software to Bluez. Try to update your Ubuntu installation (apt - get update). Make sure bluez is correctly installed.

    The instructions are for 64-bit Ubuntu and Oracle. Any reason why run you the 32-bit operating system? Unless your current CPU prohibited x86_64 you want to limit your available installation options. You can install 32-bit software on a 64 bit OS, but not the reverse.

    Please note that Oracle Enterprise does not officially support Ubuntu. You can think of Oracle Express Edition (XE) making.

  • Linux Ubuntu drivers

    Hello

    I'm about to make the transition from Vista to Ubuntu. As Toshiba offers no support for Linux, I wonder if this means that I have to ask all the drivers necessary + before + I install ubuntu or Ubuntu will automatically install. I saw the post for the Atheros drivers, but I am concerned about the rest of my equipment (hard drive, touchpad, etc.) as well.

    Thank you!

    You are right. Linux is not supported operating system and you must search for the pilots. For more information on this topic, you can search on the net some Ubuntu forum and read more about this OS.

    I'm sure you can ask for help here.

  • LabVIEW for linux (Ubuntu 64-bit)

    University of Helsinki uses a centralized managed linux installation on all linux workstations.  The distribution is based on Ubuntu 9.10, and it is considering moving to 10.04 LTS.  Almost all of the facilities are 64-bit, only a few old machines (> 5 years of age) are still using 32-bit installation.

    In the Physics Department, there are about 500 machines and about 30% of those who are linux workstations.  We strive to get LabVIEW for Linux installed on our desktop, then run under Ubuntu 64-bit.

    1 problem (not a problem): For some strange reason, the installation media does not CD/DVD use normal files (iso9660) system, but the media is formatted with the file system "Mac OS X HDF +".  It works under linux, of course, but has been a source of mild confusion.  It would be wise to change the normal file system to the next version.

    2nd problem: The installation under Ubuntu does not work.  Namely:

    First I mount the media with the "mount-t hfsplus/dev/sr0/media/cdrom0" and try running the installation script
    CD/media/cdrom0/Linux/labview-2009
    sudo knew
    . / INSTALL

    Installation is not going smoothly.  According to the error message, the script is not found the library libbz2:

    / Media/cdrom0/Linux/LabVIEW-2009/bin/rpmq: error while loading shared libraries: libbz2.so.1: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

    However, the library is in standard place:
    $ ls/lib/libbz2 *.
    /lib/libbz2.so.1 /lib/libbz2.so.1.0 /lib/libbz2.so.1.0.4

    I know, "support of the distribution" list only include Mandriva, RedHat, and SUSE.  The version of LabVIEW is the latest version of the fall of 2009.  Does anyone have any ideas what to try next?

    see you soon,
    Pekko

  • VMware discover 5 support for linux/ubuntu comments?

    Dear Sirs

    Is there an agent yet for linux especially Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.  With the Android development picking up speed, we have a real need to have our developers.  The main thing that is necessary for us is the USB redirection to the prompt of the client running XP/Windows 7 or even a thin client for them to download cores to our material connected to the customer.  Thanks in advance, if anyone knows of other solutions, it would be really appreciated.

    Are you talking about Office VDI or on the side of client to end-users.

    There is a VMware View Client for Linux, this will allow Linux machines to connect to a broker and load a Windows VDI image.

    However it is not a VMware View Agent for Linux that allow a remote desktop Linux to be negotiated through the infrastructure of the view to a device from end user customers.

    There are rumors of people for the agent Windows runs under Linux using wine and Rdesktop but no one seems to have posted a shot-by-shot full of way to account and then that would be completely supported the point of view of VMware.

    The discussion always seems to appear every two weeks to get CC on Linux. And a lot of different pieces. In the past, he has been on the printer drivers and the rendering of the fonts on different versions of Linux. The other problem is to see how much support is there for such a product.

    So why not Kick - Adobe Creative Cloud for Ubuntu?
    You get to see the support that is there for such a project and obtain funding to him. And designers/developers may have more choice than crazy Windows and Os X.

    Hi, have a Dell 2130cn duplex printer which worked fine on my old computer Dell 4550 (Win XP).  I just purchaded (2) Dell XPS 8300 (Win 7 64 bit) and when I plug the 2130cn via USB, it is not recognized.  The USB ports work fine with everything.  I spent hours with Dell support, as they just sent a service technician to replace the motherboard.  Still the same problem.  I seem to think the good driver for Win 7 64 bit is not available.  Someone at - it a thought on this?

  • LaserJet P4015x - cannot print on tray 3 of Linux (Ubuntu 12.04)

    I installed a LaserJet P4015x on Ubuntu connects via the JetDirect port (9100).

    Among the printing options, I can only choose these origins of paper:

    * By default-> Priints on bac2

    * Photo tray-> Priints the Tray1

    * High plateau-> Priints on bac2

    * Set-> Priints the Tray1

    * CD or DVD tray-> Priints the Tray1

    * Enveloper Feeder-> Priints the Tray1

    * Large capacity tray-> Priints on bac2

    * Manual feeder-> Priints the Tray1

    * Multi Purpose tray-> Priints on bac2

    All these origins of paper are assigned to Tray 1 or the tiroir2, so I can't print on tray 3. What can I do?

    I think I knew how to do this job.  Here's what I did:

    Open the properties of the printer

    On the settings tab, click on 'Edit' next to the make and model.

    Select the printer from database

    Choose HP and click Next

    In the models list, click on "HP LaserJet 4010"

    The drivers list of HP LaserJet P4010 series very.

    Click next and choose 'Use the new PPD'

    Click Next, select the appropriate Installable Options, and click on apply.

    You may need to upgrade the HPLIP software on your system.  If so, it can be downloaded from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html

  • Dell C1760nw blocking

    Hi, only have a color laser Dell C1760nw printer a few weeks. I feel today and runs of paper. I put new paper in the front power and as the first page is gone she stuck and started strong by clicking. I stopped the print job. off, open door recharge. pulled the two blue levers upward and took the pages manually. Reset it and he turned his back. He went through the process is usual and then the light went green as usual and he says "ready to print". When I tried to print again the page would go and stuck and now I constantly get a message saying that the rear cover open paper jam remove paper 077-900

    Can someone help me please!

    Hello MARKIE2210,

    Based on the error your sounds like there are still a few pieces of paper in the way or the sensory it will not reset. Please load just a single sheet in the tray area and hold Cancel for 5 seconds. This should force the paper to be picked and pushed through the printer, the question of compensation.

    Kind regards
