Printer network/print Windows 7 driver

My Panasonic KC-p2023 printer has only a Centronix port.  My Dell with Windows-7 laptop does not work.  Currently, the printer is connected to my desktop Dell Win - XP.  I can see the printer on Win 7 laptop computer on our home network.

When I try to install the printer on the laptop, Windows communicates with the printer then says there is no printer driver.

I looked at each of the. INFs.  There is a file for the printer Epson 24 pins.  How can I install my panasonic using the epson driver?  If I choose to install the local printer, I can choose the driver, but I can't do it for a network printer.  If I choose network printer (which is), I'm not allowed to choose the actual driver file, he seeks one based on Win-7 talk to the printer.

Can I install the driver for the Epson using XP compatibility mode, but it still doesn't change how Win - 7 Gets the driver for network printers.

Hi Wes,

Please keep us updated and to respond to your request, I suggest you to refer to the following article and check the behavior.

Why can't connect me to a network?

I hope this helps.

  • Pavilion a1400n: Windows XP driver for a LaserJet 1200 printer attached to a Windows 7 computer

Where can I find the driver Windows XP on a 32-bit PC wants to be able to add a printer connected to a PC running Windows 7 64 bit which are on my home network?

I worked through the process of adding a printer to my Windows XP machine that I can get to the point in the Add Printer Wizard after the navigation of the printer and choose what I click Next and the response that I actually want add the printer that is on the Windows 7 PC. I am then presented with a dialog box indicating that the INF file is necessary. I downloaded the drivers that are on http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=58928 & swLangOid = 8 & swEnvOid = 4063 and tried each of them pointing to the directory where they are each. When I do that I said that "Windows cannot locate a suitable driver. Contact your administrator for help to locate and install a correct driver.

Where can I find the suitable driver for PC Windows XP print to a printer connected to a Windows 7 PC on my network?

I found a solution to this problem, but this isn't the ability to print a document from my XP computer to a shared printer connected to my Windows 7 computer. The solution I implemented was to connect my XP computer to the printer via a parallel cable. I went with this approach for two reasons.

First of all, I realized that none of the drivers for this printer are available for Windows 7 64-bit allow me to print a document double sided or in a brochure (print booklet of course depends on the ability to print double-sided) from my Windows 7 computer. The dirver for this printer on my XP (32 bit) provides these capabilities. The 64-bit Windows 7 driver that Microsoft provides through Windows Update appears to support these capabilities, but when these options are selected, that the document prints single sided. Windows 7 64-bit universal printer driver for this printer that is available on the HP site is not yet expected to provide these features. It's as if HP abandoned for most of this printer. I understand that this is an old printer, but what I find amazing, it is that he was not so old a printer when Windows 7 64-bit was new, so why can't HP provide the latest version of the driver that could perform these functions? (Of course I can just be assuming that at some point it might). Surely it cannot take up that much space on their server. The other question is why the universal printer driver for Windows 7 64 bit cannot provide these capabilities? XP driver 32 bit I have, which is also a universal printer driver that I downloaded several years ago on the HP site, provides the capability. I have tried downloading a version of XP 32 - most recent bit of the driver to see if it was stripped of these capabilities.

Second, I chose to use the parallel connection because my XP computer has a parallel port, I already had a parallel cable which was not used, and doing so allows me to have the printer connected permanently on both computers. Tempting to connect two computers using a cable USB would require to manually switch the USB of a computer connection to the other whenever I tried to print from the computer that was not connected.

  • Cannot find the printer Laserjet 5100 for Windows 7 driver

I have a HP Laserjet 5100 printer installed on a computer running XP that is on a network without internet access working group.  I have a new Windows 7 computer to the same workgroup.  I want to print documents created on Windows 7 computer with the Laserjet Printer, but I need to install the printer driver Windows 7 to do this.  The drivers of HP support site says the necessary driver is built into Windows 7, but it tells me it's name or I would like to download it.  Suggestions on how to find or download the driver or what is called?

    Hi micror,.

Drivers for Windows 7 are only available online through Windows Update...

If the specific computer is unable to access the web, you can download the drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

As you the not mentioned your operating system type, you can find the two options below...

If you are not sure of your type of operating system, follow the steps below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02033168

For the edition of 32-bit operating system, use the first result, 64-bit for the third or the fifth option (that very of your processor type, wrong that does not...)

    http://catalog.update.Microsoft.com/v7/site/search.aspx?q=LaserJet%205100

To download the Microsoft driver, first add the required file to the basket.

Then click on view basket and follow the download link...

Because the packet is compressed, you will need to use any archiver program to extract (for example Winrar).

Last but not least, as a printer is installed on Windows XP can not be automatically shared with the new client OS you need to add drivers to manually as follows:

    1. After you download the right driver to extract it to a temporary folder.
    2. From the Client (Windows 7) go to printers and devices and click Add a printer.
    3. Select this option to add a local printer
    4. From the port selection screen you can create a new port by selecting a Local Port.
    5. In the port name fill a \\HOSTNAME\Sharename prefix
      • To locate the host name of your HOST computer (XP PC), made a right click my computer and select Properties, the hostname will be listed on this screen...
      • To locate the name of the share go to printers and faxes, click right-click the printer icon and select Properties... Then, go to the sharing tab and appears the share name.
    6. Continue add it an assistant of the printer and the driver selection, click on disk... Browse ocntaining pilots the INF folder from your printer.

    Good luck

  • Windows 7 driver for printer c4340 insists on loading in Spanish

I'm English, living in Spain.  I just bought a laptop Samsung 7 times in the Portugal.  Windows 7 has been installed with UK location + English language, the region is set to the United Kingdom, the language to English and the default location in the UK

I downloaded the Windows 7 driver for my printer HP C4340 on the HP UK site.  I chose the English driver (PS_AIO_03_Nonnet_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe).  However, when installing the driver always INSISTS on the default of Spanish language - it gives me some options.  I can't find the settings on the computer or in Windows 7 that relate to the Spanish at all!  I even tried disconnected from the internet (where he picked up a location of my ISP).

    Any ideas? -J' ran!

    Hello

Don't forget to change the language of Non-Unicode, so defining, then check any changes:

In the Control Panel, go to the region and language.

    Enter in the administration tab.

Click settings to change system locale and change its value to English.

Restart the PC and check any change.

  • Windows 8 driver for printer 1320c

The compatibiltiy shows that the drivers are in Windows Update.  I don't see it there.  Are there drivers for a different model that I can use?  Drivers windows 7 will not install unless there is a trick to get to install them.

There is only one way to get these drivers to use. If you automatically install this printer, Windows chooses the wrong drive, called a "Dell 1320c RAP. You must, instead, download the driver Dell for Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit depending on your system), then don't allow absolutely Windows to select the driver, but it manually, you will find that it works well on Windows 8.1. It is not simple to do as Windows insists to have chosen the pilot to take care. If I remember that I had to click on "Add a printer" then "the printer that I want to is not installed" option rather than choosing the printer Dell 1320c offered automatically. Then, you must manually add the IP address for the 1320c and choose the driver - who is in the Dell file called I think drivers > X 64.

  • There is no Windows 7 driver for my HP printer

Original title: cannot remove unspecified device

There is no Windows 7 driver for my printer, because it's an older printer (about 5 years I think) so I had to use another driver provided by HP that I could print correctly.  Problem is that the printer appears under devices not specified.  I removed the device in Device Manager, but it still appears under devices not specified.  When you right click, you don't have the ability to remove the instrument or run it as an administrator.

If anyone knows how to remove the device, please let me know.  Thank you!

  • Windows 7 driver for Canon BJC 210 inkjet printer

I need a Windows 7 driver for my Canon Bubble Jet BJC - 210 printer.

Does anyone know how to get a printer driver for my old inkjet Canon BJC-210 printer.  When I bought in the late 1990s a driver disc wassupplied with a driver for Windows 3.1, and he continued working when I upgraded to a laptop running Windows XP.

Now have a new laptop with Windows 7 loaded and Microsoft no longer supports the driver.
Does anyone have an idea.  The printer is a nice, small, just to feel and I was always happy with it and I have lots of spare ink.
It would be a shame to have to throw away sust in the interest of a printer driver.

1990? If the drive was origonally to the win3 its will not work under win7. The printer is not compatible with win7.

If you have win7 Pro or Ultimate installed there are some options, which can be complicated to impliment.

  • Windows 7 driver for Olympus P440 Photo Printer

I have an Olympus P440 photo printer.  Olympus does not offer a Windows 7 driver download.  Has anyone found a driver that works with Windows 7?

I download the XP drivers on the Olympus site then do a right click on the file and select troubleshoot compatibility. Follow the prompts.

You could also connect the printer and let Windows 7 try & find some basic drivers.

There is no guarantee that it will work even if - in the end, you have to accept that your printer is obsolete in Windows 7.    :(

Wireless printer - HP Photosmart C310, running. Feeder gear is no longer mesh.

Home network - two Windows 8, Windows 7 - two portable computers and one office.

What is the recommended procedure to remove my C310 printer all three systems?

Is there a recommended order to remove and install a series of replacement HP 7520?

With the C310, I used a static IP address to inhibit its propensity to drop offline. A static address is recommended for the 7520 series?

    Thank you

    Steve255

    Hi @SteveKFF,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see you want to uninstall your HP Photosmart C310 software and drivers on the PC 3 and reinstall your HP Photosmart 7520 with an IP address static to keep the wireless connection. I can certainly help you with this. Start below:

Once on the page, select your operating system from the list and proceed with the instructions to uninstall the program:

    Uninstalling the printer software

Now we can go ahead and install your PS 7520:

Installation of the software of the printer for a wireless network connection

Once you have correctly installed your PS 7520, before setting a static IP address, I could wait a few days and see the wireless connection is reliable, you may not feel the need to create one with the newer model printer. However if you decide you want to set on if please click the link below and scroll up to ' step seven: assign the printer an IP address:

Printer keeps no connection Wi - Fi

I hope this helps, if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask!

  • HP OfficeJet J4550 all-in-one: printer Windows 10 compatibility

    Hello

I plan on the transition from Windows 8.1 (64 bit) to Windows 10 (64-bit) and check the download section of printer for a Windows 10 driver for this printer but did not. This printer will be compatiable with 10 Windows and HP will provide a driver Windows 10.

    Thank you

    Jerry125

    Hello Jerry125,

Yes! Officejet J4550 works and is supported on Windows 10.

I checked and checked it appears the link Win10 of the driver for this device is missing: it is one thing, we are working to resolve.

In the meantime, let me suggest that you download and install the Windows drivers 8.1: they have been tested and prove with the work on Windows 10.

To get the Windows 8.1 drivers.

    1. Locate your device on the drivers hp.com/Support/Download.
    2. Take Option2: "go directly to the Software & Driver results."
    3. On the banner on your screen that says "Operating System", click on modify and replace Windows Version "Microsoft Windows 8.1'.»
    4. You should now see a download button, version, date, and name of the printer: click it and download and install the software for your device.
    5. Important: Unplug your appliance 1 before installing the software.
