remove a printer networked to Windows 8

Wireless printer - HP Photosmart C310, running. Feeder gear is no longer mesh.

Home network - two Windows 8, Windows 7 - two portable computers and one office.

What is the recommended procedure to remove my C310 printer all three systems?

Is there a recommended order to remove and install a series of replacement HP 7520?

With the C310, I used a static IP address to inhibit its propensity to drop offline. A static address is recommended for the 7520 series?

Thank you

Hi @SteveKFF,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see you want to uninstall your HP Photosmart C310 software and drivers on the PC 3 and reinstall your HP Photosmart 7520 with an IP address static to keep the wireless connection. I can certainly help you with this. Start below:

Once on the page, select your operating system from the list and proceed with the instructions to uninstall the program:

Uninstalling the printer software

Now we can go ahead and install your PS 7520:

Installation of the software of the printer for a wireless network connection

Once you have correctly installed your PS 7520, before setting a static IP address, I could wait a few days and see the wireless connection is reliable, you may not feel the need to create one with the newer model printer. However if you decide you want to set on if please click the link below and scroll up to ' step seven: assign the printer an IP address:

Printer keeps no connection Wi - Fi

I hope this helps, if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask!

Thank you

  • I want to remove/erase/print driver to Windows 7 and can't find any documentation.

New DELL Windows 7 computer (within 30 days) and want to remove persistent / printer driver.

Could not find any documentation on the issue, and neither DELL nor Microsoft are willing to provide any type of support, unless its paid for a product or service that is less than 30 days old.

OK, I found the solution to this problem... the info above is correct as it goes, but in my case, there was no option to erase the print on both printers 'ghost' queue because they were disconnected and (b) it has been shared on the network unavailable, so no option to the print queue was posted and had a printer assigned to TCP/IP port.

Here's how I did, step by step:

    1. right click on desktop, create a new shortcut with the target under 'cmd.exe '.
    2. right click on the shortcut, "Run as Administrator".
    3. run the tool printui: printui/s/T2
    4. try to remove printers. If this does not work...
    5. click on start > run > Services.msc
6 locate the print spooler service and right click > properties > stop him.
    7. open my computer and go to c:\Windows\System32\spool\Printers
(you will need to say 'oK' to access the file).
8 REMOVE the contents of this folder.
9 restart the print spooler service.
    10. go back into the printui utillity (might need to restart using the same method as above) and try to delete printers again. This time it should work. If necessary, see the "Ports" tab and delete all TCP/IP ports that are associated with the old printer.
11 Last but not least, I checked the other computers on my home network to see if any of these was located at the old printer and I removed these mappings, as the date of the spooling documents suggest it was printed in time once it has been deleted physically.

  • Printer network under Windows 8.1

My works Photosmart 4280 old fine with wondows 8.1 through the forum, but having managed to do work with windows 8.1 my other two computers running windows 7 and are wireless will not contact the Photosmart windows 8.1 computer connected by usb. I have the tested network and file sharing, and type of work. I had the controls themselves, made for sharing the printer on all computers. The printer worked fine on the network until I installed windows 8.1. Any help would be appreciated... Thank you.

Generally, your client machine must use a driver that is compatible with the host computer. Because your host is windows 8.1, your drivers are for windows 8.1, so the previous drivers signal may be different and will not work. Network printing is horrible and has always been. What you can try, deletes the printer completely from your windows machines drivers 7, and there is a configuration of sharing on your machine 8.1, which allows you to specify that drivers can be used, so that you can use older drivers on machines that cannot use the new printer. Once it is setup, you should be able to connect to the printer and windows 7 will get the drivers that are defined in your printer sharing - and then it should work.

It's very high level and I him did not for a few years as all my printers are wireless now, but I hope this helps.

  • FTP problems and printer network in windows 7

    Hello Experts,

We use an FTP server based on linux to save MS Office files on it and the PC client are Windows XP and Win7 and use MS Office 2003 + 2007 + 2010.
There no problem at all on XP based machines regardless of the version of MS Office to connect to the FTP.
Also, there is no problem on Win7 machines using Office 2003.
But there is the problem where we use Office 2007 or 2010 on a Win7 based machine.

The problem is that the option ' add/modify Ftp location' never appears in MS Office applications. If we are able to add FTP through the card reader option, he is able to open the FTP files at very slow speed, but he never recorded any file on ftp after editing or having a few new files.

Also, there is another problem that is a little different but I put the link here, maybe he has links with the above problem.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Cannot remove my printer

    Hi all

I tried to remove my printer (it did not work, so I tried to reinstall).

I went into the control panel of configuration/printers, then right-click on my printer and press 'delete device '. The icon became gray and it has been like this for 3 days now. You can see on the bottom, it says ' status: removing device "."  I can't reinstall (does not recognize the printer).

How can I get rid of this?

I uninstalled all the HP software and delete a bunch of registry entries on the 8610. It's still there...

    Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the HP community @Felix_B,

I read your post about the troubles you are experiencing remove the printer from your Windows 10 system, and I hope that I can help you with questions. I think it could be stuck print jobs in the print queue, so recommend some things to try to get over there.

Please start by trying the following steps:

    Step 1: Check print spooler:

    source

    1. Open your screen to Start by clicking the Windows button on the lower left side of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. In the start screen, type run
    3. Click Run to launch the run dialogue box
    4. In the run box, type services.msc and click OK
    5. When the Services window opens scroll down until you see the print spooler
    6. Click Print Spooler once just to highlight
    7. If you Start in the upper left corner that indicates that your print spooler is actually stopped (not good). But we will leave that for now.
    8. If you stop or restart in the upper left corner, this indicates that your print spooler is actually started. Please click on stop to stop the service momentarily.
    9. Reduce this window which will allow us to come back here

Step 2: Check the spooler folder:

    1. Reopen your splash screen
    2. Computertype. Click on the computer (or on This PC) when it fills so
    3. In the computer window, select your Drive C
    4. Click on Windows
    5. Click on System32
    6. Click on the reel
    7. Click PRINTERS. You can get permissions to a warning, just continue beyond that.
    8. PRINTERS of the folder must be empty. If there is no file here, they are corrupt print jobs. Right click on anything in that folder and 'delete' files.
    9. Close the PRINTERS folder

Step 3: Start Spooler and audit dependencies:

1 open the Services window we previously minimized

    2. click on print spooler to highlight

    3. click on Start in the upper left corner

    4. If you get an error message please take note of this

    5. If the print spooler starts successfully you will see "stop and restart" as your options at the top left

    6. then, double left click on print spooler. A print spooler properties window is now open. Click the connection tab at the top. Can you please make sure that it is set to Local System account and make sure that the check box is selected to "Allow the Service to interact with desktop".

    7. then click on the tab "dependencies". Please check which dependencies are listed. I need to know this if the problem persists when you have completed the steps I provide in this post.

    8. click on apply and OK for any changes that you have made the log tab. Close the Services window.

Now try to access devices and printers and try to remove the printer.

I hope this helps, and if you have problems, please let me know and I'll do my best to help you. If these steps helped to solve the problem, click Accept as button Solution at the end of my post here please.

Will testify of our help in the forums by clicking on the thumbs up this message below!

    I tried the following:

    2. I have run CMD as administrator, then launched PRINTUI/s/T2.  For the printer driver will not uninstall because it is used by the printer and another printer.  So I don't want to uninstall the driver.  I want just the deleted network printer.
    3. The server shows no vestige on the part of the printer by using NET SHARE.
    4. I restarted the spooler on the server and the local computer printer
