Printer not duplex in Windows 7.

After switching to windows 7, XP, I can't print duplex automatically (HP Laserjet P4014dn). It is a network printer, do not directly connected to my computer. I searched in the MS forums and they directed me to a link at HP for help. HP said to uninstall the Windows 7 printer driver and install the driver HP. Windows 7 won't let me not uninstall the printer driver (says that it is in use and cannot be deleted). Any ideas?

Thank you for your response. I have corrected the problem. I used the disk from the manufacturer to install the driver, as if I had to install a new printer. Printers and devices on Windows 7 then show that I had 2 HP printers installed. Then I could delete the printer with the default windows driver and do the newly installed printer, the default printer. The duplex function now works correctly.

  • USB printer not recognized after Windows update

    OT: usb device not recognized

After that suddenly stop, reboot, done, the device is plugged in where the printer indicates that it does not recognize the device. I said abattissent unplug it and reconnect it and if it doesn't work me to replace... I re install the driver for the Hpdeskjet940c but nothing works...

    Hello grasshopper.

This problem may be caused mainly by broken printer drivers, this could have been caused when you installed the updates. I suggest that you start with a restoration of the system on the computer by choosing a restore point when it was working fine.

    a. Click Start, type system restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program.

    b. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

    d. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    e. click Finish.

You can see the following article for reference:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/features/system-restore

You can also try driver restore on the computer and check if it helps.

To roll back a driver in Windows send the driver to the version that was finally installed for the device. Restoring a driver is an easy way to return a driver for a working version when a driver update fails to fix a problem or maybe even a new problem.

    a. open the Device Manager. To do this, click Start, type device in the area Manager search and then click on Device Manager in the list programs.

    b. right click on the device for which the previous version of the driver is desired and then click Properties.

    c. click the tab drivers.

    d. click on Roll Back Driver.

  • Canon Imageclass D320 All - in - One Printer not install under Windows 7

My new laptop Windows 7 cannot install a driver for the Canon ImageClass D320 printer. The utility plug & play in Windows 7 has failed to find a driver for the D320. I have the installation disc that came w / the D320, but it is also a failure install a driver. (This installation disk includes drivers for only Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 9 X, and Windows Millennium Edition.) The Canon support site @ http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/office/imageclass copiers/imageclass d320/imageclass d320? selectedName = DriversAndSoftware offers drivers the D320, but only for these same 4 OS (that is, only for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 9 X, and Windows Me). Maybe the D320 needs a 64-bit driver?

    Any information would be appreciated.

I certainly do not see 64-bit Windows 7 drivers for the D320 to http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/imageclass_series/imageclass_d320#DriversAndSoftware , and more operating systems you have listed they also show Vista and Vista 64-bit and Windows 7, Windows 7 64 bit.

I use Firefox as my Internet browser.  However if I use exactly the same link using Internet Explorer 9, I see no Windows 7 driver.  If I use Internet Explorer 9 and change it to compatibility view, I can see all the drivers.  (To do this in IE 9 just click on the little icon that looks like a page torn paper in have - in the address bar to the left of the Refresh - button or go to the Tools Menu and select compatibility view)

This is the second time I've seen this problem with the site driver of Canon (where I saw a thing and the person I tried to help him was to see something else on the same link).

Here is a picture of what I see on the website of Canon, with the drop-down list to choose the operating system by selecting the driver 64 bit Windows 7:

  • J4580 printer not recognized by Windows 8

Hi all, thank you very much in advance for the help.

I tried to install HP Officejet J4580 Windows 8 64-bit, but its not recognized at all. Seesms that Windows does not recognize device correctly with the latest driver installed or uninstalled. The printer itself is work corretly (with the same cable on Fedora). I also tried HP tools for printers, but all ask me to connect the printer connected (as well as the isnatller).

    See you soon,.

    Ivan

Well, I want you to go through the steps, I described above in my first set of instructions on how to uninstall/reinstall the printer.

In addition to these steps, I will need to go to your C: drive and record programs and the programs (x 86) folder deletes files HP or Hewlett-Packard (assuming that the printer is the only device HP).

Press on the R of Key + Windows which will bring up the run window. Type "%AppData%" and remove all HP / Hewlett-Packard records. Do the same for "programdata %."

Reinstall the printer from the download that I linked.

As a quick question, you upgrade to Win8 or it was installed?

To set up a new Inspiron 17 (5000 series) running Windows 8.1 (64-bit) and it has detected my printer all-in-one of V525w (via USB) and it prints well, but it won't scan. Dell printer host tells me to install drivers to scan to.  I have installed all drivers for this printer several times and I still get the same result - I can't scan.  Someone at - it link to install only the driver for scanning or know how I can fix this?  Thank you!

Solved!  Don't know how this happens, but after I installed the driver package, a Scan icon appeared in my apps list that works.  So, I can't scan by opening printer Dell or by clicking home on via Control Panel of devices & printers, but I can scan successfully opening the scanning application.

  • Dell Inspiron 530sand by Kodak ESP5 all-in One Printer not detected in Windows Vista.

Original title: cannot find the printer

I have a s 530 Dell Inspiron and a Kodak ESP5 All in One Printer. The problem began earlier this year when attempts to print failed because of "jobs in"

the pipeline "or something.  No matter what I did the same blocking returned.  I emailed Kodak and they spent ages uninstall/re-installing the

software all for nothing helps.  Then I tried the automated Microsoft Fix it Center but I got nowhere so eventually abandoned.  Now I need the printer again only

This time, I can't find any sign of it on the computer.  The icon at the bottom right has disappeared and when I bring to the top of the order page and click

Printers, an empty box appears.  The usb cable has been replaced and tried other usb ports.  Nothing.  I tried the Fix it Center again and if

anyone from Microsoft read this, was sent around in circles.  By clicking "Run" tells me there is a temporary outage preventing the Printer Wizard

operating for two weeks?  And try to communicate with the web home page has a similar result, I like my email address is registered, but when I use it

told me to use another, who is also rejected because the first is already registered. All this may be my fault I'm semi illiterate computerwise

If no one can say why won't the computer to the printer, I would be very grateful and more if the answer was in terms laymans

    My thanks in advance

  • Auto duplex printing is not available on Windows 8

Automatic duplex printing works fine on my other windows systems.  The printer Web page shows that automatic duplex printing is supported / installed.  I can do when I print from my system windows XP very well, but my new system of windows 8 is not.  "I installed the latest windows printer driver 7 and options ' 2 sides print ' do not give automatic as an option.

Is there a driver solution or something that needs to be done to get automatic duplexing on windows 8?

Duplex printing one of the main reasons I bought this AIO, so which are important to me.

    Help.

    Thank you.

The duplexer must be enabled in the driver, see the Vista/Windows 7 Duplex Printing solutions to the problems here.  Windows 8 would be similar to Windows 7 in the procedure.
