  • Photosmart C5380: My Photosmart C5380 printer Green instead of black

Occationally my printer prints green instead of black.

Sometimes it's at the beginning of a document, and sometimes it's in the middle of a document.

I tried to change the cartridge, but have the same result.

    Best regards

    Hi @tobby37 ,

I want to help you with this issue, black is sometimes printing in green. You have changed the cartridge and having the same results.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

Try the following steps to see if it will solve the problem.

Message "Ink cartridge problem" on the printer.

Please do not take into account the title.

    You use genuine HP cartridges?
    What are the ink levels?

Please let me know if you need additional assistance.

    Have a fantastic day!
    Thank you.

  • Why the brown color is printing Green?

Why is the brown color print Green

    Original title: printer

This means that the ink cartridge must be recalibrated. Remove the cartridge, clean the surface contact gently with a soft cloth (ink spot may be present), install it back and check.

Try two or three times, if the problem persists. But if this does not resolve the problem, replace the cartridge.

  • HP Laser Jet Pro M251 nw: HP Laser Jet Pro M251 nw do not print Green

I use a HP Laser Jet Pro M251 with Mac OS more recent Sierra 10.12. I tried to print a document in color from Excel and others a good percentage of the document should be printed in green. Instead of green, a very light, in some cases the struggles of the naked eye to see light YTYPE prints instead of GREEN. I then ran a test of the printer color page of the utility application of HP and there is no green anywhere on the page.

All of my cartridges are 80% full or higher and I use the same newspaper, I am using since I bought the printer a few years ago. Indeed, nothing in my usual routine (for example all consumables and accessories) has changed. So, for the most part, my printer is not good for color printing.

If anyone has had this problem and, more importantly, knows how to fix? I don't want to buy a new printer, but if I do, and if this problem is not easily corrected, I will not buy another HP. I'll check Consumer Reports to get advice on a new laser printer. I really liked this good printer and have, until today, thought it was an absolutely fantastic printer.

Please help if you can. Thank you for your useful answers.

  • HP Envy 5532 Printing green lines across the page when scanning in color

Hi, I'm Green striped wallpaper is the best way to describe it, when I scan a document color the entire page has this striped background green and the image being analyzed. The printer is around the age of 18 months.

I tried all the diagnostic tools that are available through the printer, nothing seems to clear it.

    Any suggestions?

    Hey @thelentons,

Welcome to the HP forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that your e-all-in-one printer of 5532 Envy is scanning with green lines. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet , not a surge protector. Once it's done remove any paper flat from the printer and turn the printer off, then on again. Finally we will try to make a copy. If the copy has lines so you have a hardware problem. If you are able to make a copy without lines so you can have a software problem.

If you have a hardware problem

While the printer is turned on remove the cable at the back of the printer for a minute, turn on the printer and try to make a copy.

If the copy always has lines in it then we will make a factory reset the printer. I'll send you some pointers on how to do so shortly in a private message.

If after the reset you still have lines in print then the printer needs to be replaced. You can contact HP support by clicking here and filling out the form below.

If you have a software problem

I can provide you with more information, but I need to know what operating system is on your computer. If you are not sure what your operating system is you can click here to find. Please let me know what you use, and I'll be better able to help you.

I hope this solves your problem of copy and wish you a nice day!

  • My Canon Pixma iP 4200 print green.

I have tried all troubleshooting to check if the ink tanks are adequate and procedures in the right position for cleaning the printhead manually.  But my ip 4200 canned GREEN print. Measures to dispel this probvlem wlould be appreciated. Thank you...

    Hi FLJerry,

When printing from the PIXMA iP4200 does print correctly (as with a green tint), the first step would be to ensure that the correct inks are installed and are in the correct order.  The correct order is:

    CLI - 8Bk black
    PGI - 5Bk black
    CLI - 8Y yellow
    CLI - 8 M Magenta
    CLI - 8 c Cyan

Next would be to perform print head cleaning.  Because you have already done this, it is recommended that you contact the direct technical assistance. There is NO charge for this call. Please call 1-866-261-9362, Monday - Friday 10:00-10: 00 ET (excluding holidays).

    Tarus51,

It's what I'm here for. Ok, so now we know that it is not the software causing the green text because when you perform a stand-alone copy it comes out as green.

  • HP 8500 does not print Green

All colors (yellow, cyan, magenta, black) on alignment print cartridge and test pages. Green (yellow + blue) do not print on the documents. Single blue print when green should be. Haven't tried Orange or other mixtures to "yellow." Cleaned print heads. Has not fixed the problem. Any other suggestions?

Thank you. I'll check the yellow cartridge. To explain further, sheet alignment tests lined watch yellow and other colors of the cartridge. Alignment is also successful.

  • Cartridge yellow HP 933 print Green

I just replaced my cartridges "empty", but the yellow is green printing.  Even on the test page.  What's wrong?

A fast alternative to cleaning would be to make a big block of yellow on a page in a program such as Word or Paint (or a Mac equivalent if you are using a Mac).  Print the page several times.  If there is color enhancement the progress of page may be recoverable, if the second page looks like the first, then outlook is not so bright.

  • LaserJet Professional P 1102w printer green light blinking, but will not be printed

I had my P of professional LaserJet 1102w for a little less than a year.  I use it very rarely and very slightly (I've probably printed total less than 25 pages).  It has always worked well.

But in the last 2 weeks, it stopped printing.  The Green led comes on, but it will not be printed.

I went through the troubleshooting diagnostic tests on my computer (HP Pavilion, Windows 7 operating system).  The result shows that my computer detects a problem, but it cannot identify it (for example, no paper jam, no toner, etc..).  I manually checked it for a paper jam too.  I have not seen any problems.  I turned off, unplugged, he turned his back.  She still does not print.  And now the green light blinks, even if I turn it off several hours ago.

    Help, please.  Thank you.

Update: I realized what it was.  My USB cable was very slightly loose.  I don't see when I checked manually the printer the first time.  But I checked a second time and just pushed him tighter.  Problem solved.

  • printers large format HP Officejet 7000 - black print Green

I'm printing to pdf from autocad drawings in a frame in grayscale.  The shaded areas and lighter lines are all printing under a greenish color.

I tried to clean the heads.

You are probably low on magenta ink.  Black in pie charts are printed with color inks, a weak magenta would yield a green result.

  • HP 3210 printer prints green pictures instead of actual colors. Why?

It is a new problem.  I print with HP ink colors.  Even when I print a page of printing, it is green.

    Hello

Assuming that there is nothing wrong physically with the printer or the ink cartridges, its probably caused by controls ill-defined in the print properties. Go to control panel of configuration, devices and printers, and right-click on the printer in question. Then click on printer properties, when this secondary window opens look for the color controls. Depending on your printer (I have a 3056), these may be located under printing options.

These vary depending on the printer you have, but want to make sure that your color settings are 'normal', 'balanced', 'real life '. See if you can see something that's obviously not fair - as a full color with only green ink showing Panel and a red and blue set to zero. If all else fails, search and make sure you use a valid ICC color profile.

Let me know if this helps you.

    Kind regards
