  I have a HP m8034n pc with a tuner Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC Combo.  The pc came with Vista and Windows media center worked great just with the tv tuner.  I upgraded to Windows 7, December 2 and fail to put in place my tv with WMC tuner.  The recorded shows that I had before the upgrade to Windows 7 appear and play without problem in WMC. I used the hardware diagnostic tool that is installed on my pc to control the Tuner, and during the test, I can see fine TV stations.  This unit is compatible according to microsoft Windows 7. I have the latest driver and tried to uninstall and reinstall. I ran Windows Update and everything is up-to-date. After that WMC checks tuners, it says:

  At my computer configuration: Windows XP sp3 with IExplorer 8, but had to go back to the repair facility after that some system files have been corrupted, do not know why.
  My repair CD installation was: Windows XP sp2

  In my view, the main problem is that after the installation of repair, the system obtained in conflict of existing versions of IExplorer 7 and 8. IE 7 & 8A prevented the application of activation of MS (OOBE) of working after the installation of repair, the OOBE application silently chrashed and prevented the logon process.

  I couldn't connect even in safe mode, BUT with failure + command prompt, safe mode I managed to log on! So, choose the mode without failure + command promt in the trunk. Then open a session with success. Then close the command prompt and press CTRL + ALT + DEL to Task Manager. In task manager launches the new application "c:" and answer 'No' to the following question, and after an error message you c: drive open and you'll have office. You can close the System Restore Wizard who opened. Then go to c:\windows\ie7\spuninst and run spuninst.exe. Do the same to c:\windows\ie8\spuninst. After you have uninstalled both, restart windows, and after the first issue of activation, you should get the big activation dialog box.

  I have spent a lot more time, because I was told that uninstall IE7 and IE8 is possible to do this via the command prompt. I did, but it has not fixed my problem. Then I tried a thousand other tricks at the same time.

I got an e-mail from a technician of Microsoft in the United States, after several attempts to correct without success, she asked me to run a SFC scan and him send the CBS. I duly did and she answered saying contact support for windows 7 from microsoft in the United Kingdom. I did later, after going round in circles whenever I got at the reception, that they wanted to put me through to security to check the virus, I kept telling them that I do not have a virus. My machines are diverted using legitimate microsoft tools, I case can't know how but I know they are. Anyway, eventually I talked to an 'expert' 7, he looked at the newspaper cbs and who told me that I was not running genuine windows software, HOW THE * if the it came from the factory with a new hard drive. The SFC scan will only complete 99%. He told me to use my disks supplied with the machine and reinstall. I had not all disks (Acer provide as a matter of course). So I duly sent to the disk and he told me that if I wanted that it would contribute to format my machine and install correctly. On the property page for my computer, I couldn't see the product ID, which showed was the OEM product ID and ease of sytem info did not, however I have AVG tune up on my machine and it has a similar feature and he was able to show me not only OEM but as well the windows product ID. The product ID was not on my machine, I hought Hall * lujah to the last number. I went on my dell don't have reinstall a suit of the disc and checked the ID of the product (using AVG tune up) and it wa wrong too! I did the same with my Toshiba exactly the same thing. HOW CAN I DO a REINSTALL FULL ON different mac, hines and they reinstall a fake Windows ID and I used records of origin provided by the manufacturers themselves. In any case to the ACER a few weeks back I got ACER discs I paid £51 for and did a fresh install, why I did it's simple, I contacted Saurabh on 7 press repeatedly telling him I had the drive, but he ignored me. When I did the new OEM installation was the 'bad' OEM again, and he does not feel again. A few days later, I ran SFC again and he found files corrupted, but said it had repaired them.   Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

  In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button.

  In the window that launches, scroll down and double-click on folder sessionstore-backups . Save all the files here to a safe place, such as your Documents folder.

  We are actively working on an update to correct this error, but I have no ETA for its release.

  At this point, there are a few choices:

  (1) send us the .muse file and we will perform the conversion of 2015.1 (and avoid the bug that causes this error) and you will receive the file.

  (2) return to Muse 2015.0 until a 2015.1.1 update is available with the fix for this error.

  (3) return to Muse 2015.0, found all the .svg graphics in your file and check to see if they are in a group that contains no other objects. If they are, break up this group to get rid of. (This error is triggered by a bug in the conversion of file format code that is triggered if a file contains a SVG graphic is in a group that contains no other object.) A group of one).   I have an Aver Media Combo G2 Media Center TV tuner card. Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Everything worked fine and then for some reason any Windows Media was unable to download the TV program guide.  I thought I would try reinstalling the TV signal. Setup stopped when you try to download the latest updates. Some research has indicated that I had to manually run "mcupdate", I did. It passed me this hang up, but then I complete Setup with the above message.

  Now, I have no live TV function.

• Fix for common problems associated with Windows Update repeatedly trying to solve the same problem

  When the machine running Windows Update on a Windows XP Professional (SP3 with IE8), the information for the download of the ActiveX bar does not appear. Tried to run the Fix for "Common problems with Windows Update" and it says "Windows Update components must be repaired. Difficulty-it short, reports of success, "Found Themes" saying "one or more components of Windows Update are configured incorrectly". However, still unable to download updates from the information bar does not appear. Repeating the difficulty happens with exactly the same problem i.e. reports etc. but no success still can not download the ActiveX on Windows Update since the information bar never shows up.

  Long history, technical, short version: do not uninstall IE8 (and/or IE7) before doing a repair installation (Windows XP only!) leaves the two Internet Explorer and Windows in a State of "confused" or "broken". Your only recourse now is a clean install of Windows (after backup your personal data).

  PS: So that registry cleaners can solve some problems (temporarily, at least), they are not & cannot fix what caused the problem. Compare to treat a broken leg with a stick and a couple of BandAids.

  I have an Asus computer with windows 7 installed. My internet provider is verizon fios, and this problem does occur at home with my computer. Other computers or devices work fine on the network. I get a message that says: there is an IP address conflict. I rest and renewed my IP address through cmd with no luck. I found that if I troubleshoot the network by clicking on the red x, recover the wireless connect 2 and it will work for a period of beginning of disconnect and reconnect. I'll try to diagnose the problem to get the error message of 2 wireless connection doesn't have a valid configuration. I tried everything in the forums for weeks without success. Cmd prompts including changing DNS, Hello settings, but nothing has worked.

  Try setting power off all computers or devices connected to Wi - Fi in your home except your computer and check.

  This error message indicates that another computer on the network using the same IP address that your computer uses. Follow the suggestion of this Microsoft article and check if it helps.
