PRINTER SUDDENLY NOT INSTALLED

I USED TWO PRINTERS WITH MY DIFFERENT COMPUTERS FOR YEARS. M MY QUERY CONCERNS MY FAVORITE MY HP C4180.  BOTH PRINTERS WORKED WELL THROUGH THE 98, XP. 7 AND VISTA AND INITIALLY 8. NOW MY HP HAS DISAPPEARED FROM MY COMPUTER WITHOUT LEAVING TRACES. IT IS NOT LISTED AS AN OPTION WHEN PRINTING OR LISTED UNDER "DEVICES AND PRINTERS".  I TRIED TO RE INSTALL THE C.D. BUT WE ME SAID REPEATEDLY AFTER HER RESEARCH THAT MY OPERATING SYSTEM IS NOT COMPATIBLE. THERE IS ALSO A LINE READING CURRENT SYSTEM XP64 BIT O THAT RELEVANT IF IS INCORRECT.  I'M ON WINDOWS 8, RECENTLY UPDATED TO 8.1. ANY HELP/ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.  I DON'T WANT TO HAVE LOST MONEY ON MY STOCK OF SPARE INKS OR WISH TO USE MY OTHER PRINTER FOR DAILY TASKS, LETTER WRITING POSTERS ETC.

It's an old printer and there was only the 32-bit drivers for Windows 98 to Vista. Canon are unlikely to write 64-bit drivers now.

  • Of EPSON printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed

Fantastic little printer and I want to continue to use it.

I managed to install all the drivers for it, except one. When I try to print on a cd/dvd, I get the message "thedriver of printer EPSON The dealing with CD printing is not installed". I have been all over the internet, but all I found was a more recent version of programming Print CD that gives me the same message.

    I use a laptop Lenovo G505 with windows 8.

Any pointers in the right direction for these drivers would be very appreciated :)

    Thanks for the reply.

Please provide detailed information about the issue.

  • Want 5530: Printer print suddenly not not on Win 7

Set - up to print wirelessly, I had a race with this model until recently of dream & I don't remember any event that affects all of a sudden it.

My wife's cell phone is not affected & print very well.

HP Diagnostics initially sorted a shift of the port but after a fix - up it still will not print.

Leads to later diagnoses have concocted with nothing wrong.

Have uninstalled and re-installed the relentless software number pilot many times without success.

Strange thing is the 'internal test print' function works fine but actual print is not?

Go figure, she does this wireless network... I don't understand?

I temporarily turned off the Norton firewall but nothing helped.

At my wits end with this one...

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi VinnieF,

You're welcome and thank you for your answer!

If the printer can print from your Android smartphone, then you are correct, that the problem is with the laptop running Windows 7.

As an another possible workaround, let's try to assign another driver, following the instructions in this post How to assign drivers to Print in different Versions of Windows, by @Shane_R.

Do not forget to return to this topic and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

  • HP dv6 ENVY: appearing in Windows 10 constantly up-to-date printer does not install

MY laptop is a HP ENVY dv6 and I also have a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525.

Yesterday I updated my laptop to Windows 10, and then suddenly an update appears in Windows Update for the printer.

    It's the update: "Hewlett-Packard - imagery - Null Print - HP Deskjet 5520 series.

But the update maintains do not install and giving this error "Error 08024200 b ×", and I do not know how to solve the problem. The update appeared only after the upgrade to Windows 10 and I've updated Windows with 10 being automatic, I can't say my laptop to stop trying to install this update.

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Hi @bleach-eminem,.

I'd love to help get rid you of the error you see. I suggest you Open the Device Manager and remove the 'unknown' printer you probably see here.

    1. Click on the right arrow next to the following entries to develop and then search for your printer in each list:

    Hello

You put a serial number of the printer here, not a model number of the printer

Access the site of HP drivers at this link > put in the full printer model number > select your operating system > find the right drivers > download and install following the instructions from HP that you may find.

  • 4200 software all-in-one printer will not install in Windows 7

I have a 4280 printer all in one that works very well with Vista 32 bit OS. I really like the interface of HP. I had a Dell with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit desktop computer. I was able to load without any problems except the printer.

I downloaded the latest software of HP 64 bits for the device 4280. Installation takes place upwards the agreement "accept" screen and when I check the box to accept (name and c drive location, features to install, etc.) and then press the "continue" button disappears from the HP installation window. There is no reported errors or system events that I can find.

I tried all the suggestions on the site of HP for Windows 7 with no luck. I found Windows 7 install a driver immediately once you plug the USB connection. Tried a new printer / I drive with no luck.  I tried Windows 7 32 bit with identical behavior that disappears. I tried safe mode and diagnostic mode in case something was interfering... same result.  At least antivirus and firewall have been disabled and nothing else worked. I even ordered a CD from HP with the same result as the downloaded program. CHKDSK and scannow will find no problem with Windows.

I can run the printer and the scanner with windows drivers, but the interface, especially for the scanner is not functional enough. I get kind of work in a virtual XP environment, but it is very slow and a little less functional loading... vista vs XP I guess. In short not a viable solution. I could buy a new all-in-one, but I'm worried it will not install and this can become costly experimentation, not to mention my stock of the 4280 cartridge.

I would really like to find a way to get the HP software to install. Someone has an idea?

  • DeskJet 1512: Deskjet 1512 printer does not install...

    Hello

    I have a Deskjet 1512 printer ' All in one '.

I followed the instructions of installation and configuration up to the last comma - and still some 6.5 hours later - I still have a new printer that doesn't work.

    I am running Windows XP / SP3 / Dotnet 3.5

I ran the installation disc (supplied), made a cup of tea, ticked the boxes, responded to the questions.

When you are asked (and only when prompted) - connected my USB cable and the printer to the computer... This is where the problems started.

The function of 'Full' whistles and software bells began to try to detect my camera.

He was defeated by Windows Harward "Wizard" - saying it had detected a new device... but it can be installed "due to a missing Module.

About 2 seconds later - the HP software "Full Feature" he spits is dummy and tells me to connect my printer and check the USB cord...

Yes - I replaced the power cord USB ther with 4 different ones I have alternatives, but also try different USB ports on my computer.

    Always the same question.

    However-

The Scanner was installed - and works very well.

So, I tried a forced installation of "Backdoor" of the drivers of the printer - via the Windows hardware Manager.

This all seemed so promising - the pilots finally looked as if they were installing.
99%, the hardware Popup Manager informed me that my "device had been correctly install '...

About 1 second later - another window will appear - now telling me that it was not possible to "do something"? and that my ' device was not installed.

A quick look through the driver manager showed me that my scanner was installed, but the printer was not.

I completely uninstalled the HP software, then Dot Net... cleaned all Temp files and deleted all entries in registry rogeu.

Then restarted my computer (after checking that USB 2 has been enabled in Bios - who it was)

I then reinstalled the far Dot Net (downloaded via the HP Web site) and the "Full Feature" software (also courtesy of the HP site) this day... and...

    .. even the same.

    In short - I tried:

    • Remove all previous installations of HP and Dot Net 3.5 software
    • Relocation of all of the above
    • 4 x different USB cords
    • All the different USB ports on my PC
    • Swearing and the curse (usually works with Microsoft Products only)

The only thing I have NOT tried, is witch Craft and Country dance.

Any other suggestions would be very appreciated...

    Update...

I completely erased from my hard drive and reinstalled XP, SP3/Net fix...

The printer is installed the first time.

    If everything is working now.

There was something installed hidden somewhere that the installation process didn't like.

Thanks for your help with this.

  • Windows 7 XPS and OneNote 2010 Printer Drivers not installed

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and Office 2010 beta on a gateway M285-e. I can't print XPS or OneNote 2010 file. When I go to check the properties of the printer, I get an error reading:
"The 'send to Microsoft OneNote driver 2010 Driver' (or"Microsoft XPS Document Writer") is not installed on this computer."
He asked if I would like to install the driver. If I say yes, it takes me to the Add Printer Wizard. Where is this driver? Why these drivers would not be in the operating system if the printer is installed by default?

After asking a few friends and family about the suggestions I found the solution to my problem. Apparently the driver "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" had for some reason any been uninstalled. Do not know why. I was able to reinstall the driver after Microsoft had it implemented as a physical printer on a custom port. To install I had to find the brand and model of the printer (make: 'Microsoft'; model: "Microsoft XPS Document Writer") in the master list in the Add Printer Wizard and complete the wizard. This fixed the problem of the XPS Document. It also fixes printing on printer OneNote 2010 as well. I was never able to find the driver to print to OneNote feature, but apparently the feature depends on printing on XPS document printer. Setting the XPS print driver paper fixed both of my problems.

  • Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro printer will not install

    Hi all

I have a new PC - Win 7 Pro x 64 - and install Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro.  The printer refuses to install.  Gives the error:

WARNING 20225.  Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Setup was unable to create a new item: Adobe PDF Port and printer.  The Adobe PDF printer may be unavailable.  GetLastError: The operation completed successfully.

I tried the command detect and repair to the title of the help, and I get the same error.

I think that will be your solution. The printer driver is not compatible with the latest systems, especially those of 64 - bit.
