Printers not available on certain computers nonger.

OK, we have four computers on our network of small business.  Until yesterday, all computers could print on our Xerox and Canon printers.  Suddenly, two do not see printers. I uninstalled printers on the same system, but when I try to reinstall, the Setup program cannot see them.  Even with the IP address manually.  Any thoughts?

To check if a printer is shared or to set up printer sharing.

Log home a computer that is part of your network and is connected to the printer.

a. open devices and printers, click the Start button, click the start menu,.

Click devices and printers.

b. right-click on the printer you want to share, click printer properties, and then click on the

Tab shares .

c. If the printer is shared, share this printer will be selected. If it is not selected, click

Share this printer, and then click OK.

  • Printers not available to all users?

    I have a network of 8 wired extreme airport in a cisco switch, all extending to the same network. The wifi part is configured like regular MyNetwork and MyNetwork 5 GHz (for users of KT). The printers are connected via wifi to MyNetwork (they don't see 5 GHz).

    Users on 5 GHz cannot detect the printers unless they move their laptops to the network classic MyNetwork, which is far from ideal. I don't have hard wiring that extends quite far to the location of the printer to the wire in the network physically.

    I have a theory that I could use some expresses currently not assigned to the airport to use as a wireless bridge between printers and the 5 GHz wifi network. Everyone knows that kind of situation before? If it's doomed to fail, what alternatives can I? Customers of the user on Windows and OS x, switching to the regular network no - 5 GHz seems to be the solution the less-than-ideal for both.

    I've seen a few posts now with this crazy situation. So, it seems that you are not unique...

    If install you an express as a client to the 5 GHz network and use by ethernet to the printer, it should work... not considered the issue yet but I will.

    You can try this with any apple router or extreme as a test.

  • F11 full screen View not available on certain pages

    I can't view in full screen using any method on a lot of pages online (F11, tools, etc.).

    I suggest resetting your Internet Explorer if that's what you use.
    To reset IE, go to tools, Internet Options, click the Advanced tab. Click the button below to reset.  This will remove all temporary files, disables add-ons, and resets all the changed settings.

    If that doesn't help, and then one by one, disable add-ons you might have.

    Let us know if that helps.

  • Why the brightness in Windows 8 option is not available and how can I make it available?

    I have recently installed Windows 8 Pro on a new Sony VAIO L Series (SVL24116FXB).  When I go into the settings in the bar of charms, the brightness setting shows that it is not available.  I updated my video card for the latest driver from NVIDIA Web site and who has not solved the problem.  In a dark room, the screen can sometimes be unbearably bright and I need a way to get the screen automatically dim or at least to have the accessible brightness via the charms bar adjustment function.

    Please let me know how I can fix this.

    The indicator LIGHT and the CURSOR can be found in the CHARMS bar by the charm of SETTINGS under BRIGHTNESS.

    BRIGHTNESS is NOT available on desktop computers, this is a feature only found on tablets and laptops, as circuits for display are related directly to the motherboard within the unit.
    To change the brightness on a desktop computer, you will have to do in the old-fashioned way, via the controls of your monitor settings.

    The problem was with a tweak in Windows 7 Manager-> Service Manager-> Optimize-> uncheck "I am a single user with an internet connection.

    I wanted to create a smart collection in Bridge CS6. When you specify the .skp files file extension-based collection, the sketchup file extension is not available on the menu drop-down. How do you add new file extensions to the list that appears.

    As Curt said, you cannot change the criteria for the list yourself, but there are workarounds.

    Choose: Filename Contains / and in the text box add: .skp

    If your source contains multiple Sketchup files in different folders, this should give you the correct result

  • HP Envy 4501: HPeprint is not available

    I have two 4501 eprinters installed on my home router.  I have two laptops of chrome which are both configured to print to a printer.  Both printers have been working for some time on the two computers.  A few days ago one of the printers displays the following error message "HP eprint not available at this time" when I tried to print.  The other printer on the same router works fine, computers.  I have other devices connected through this same router and they work fine.  I have no problems with the router or on the internet.  Why just the one 4501 printer?

    Looks like you might run low on ink to color as well.

    The site that you are referred to as is hpconnected.com. The claim code is numbers and letters to the e-mail address of your printer before ' @hpeprint.com '. You will find by clicking on the icon of web services on the printer again.

    That said, we should not follow the steps above, except if you want to customize the e-mail address of the printer to something that is easier to remember.

    Given that web services have been removed and active, we will need to add the printer to the main gmail account. Doing so connect to this account and click on this link to add the printer to the account and share it with your other Chromebook/Gmail accounts.

    Please let me know if this allows you to print from your Chromebooks on this printer. If you have any other questions please let me know what happened when you followed my instructions and I will be able to help you further.

  • My podcast Astrophiz not available in Australia

    Podcast argued, had received the e-mail from the approval, but when I click on the link provided a popup says "the object you requested is not currently available in the Australian store.

    I just connected to iTunes connect and my podcast feed is 'Active', not 'hidden '.

    I just have to wait, or is there an other action I can take?

    This message means in general that's not available everywhere. Certainly to research on "Astrophiz" does not produce any results in the United Kingdom, although it is not conclusive that research is often slow to activate; of course, I can't verify news without the URL of your store page that appears in the acceptance e-mail.

    If you have just to receive the email, it is quite possible, that it did not in the store again. I don't know what is the usual turnaround time, but you should probably give it a few days.

    This problem has been resolved.

    The book of Z 17 HP installed their software: HP Client Security.

    This software prevents the use of external hard drives and flash drives in its default settings.

    Each customer is on their own in discoverinv and the resolution of this problem.

    On the first book of HP Z 17 thin client HP security biometric authertication failed with a black screen.  The computer is about 15 days old.    All the dirvers for the HP notebook have been uploaded and then the software for biometric devices have been downloaded.  HP determined that it was a hardware failure of the biometric device, when drivers and software downloads together has not fixed the problem.  This computer had / has the same problem with not allowing communication with any external hard drive or flash drive.

    HP did wrong by not providing any information on the inside of this product the HP support assistant.

    Here's a consumer might encounter problems:

    The HP support assistant on Z book provides updates of drivers for windows, but the support phone number book mobile z is not listed.  There is a phone number, but it is a regular support, not z book mobile support or elite support.  Mobile Z book users are supposed to call the number fo elite press and the number is for a regular support on the wizard of book z mobile support.  Support assistant has cat support method and the HP chat support is not trained to book support z mobile.  There is a feature to contact the technical support and the transfer of data to the technician, and again, it goes to regular support who is not trained to support the mobile z book.  If you call the phone number provided some of the choices on the automated line includes desktop, laptop and office work.  If you choose Notepad you won't get z mobile workstation support.  If you choose work center you will get no support of z book mobile workstation.  Instead, you must have someone answer and then ask to be redirect to support elite.  On the first call, you never know that the support you are looking for is elite support until they give you this information on the next contact.

    After many hours spent barely pull on the problems of not being able to view files on an external hard drive or external dirve flash, I was able to change this HP software.  It now unfortunately produces a humming noise when parts of it are displayed.  This has not yet been set.

    Hope this helps all who are unable to view the files on their external hard drives and external flash drives.

    The thin client HP security prevents click right change of ownership and prevent changes, right-click in the security, etc..  Change of Director fails also as the client security administrator HP overides too.

    So end users must change the HP Thin Client Security so that it does not block access to files on external hard drives or flash drives.

    Why are all updates not available through downloads on apple's site. It's a real pain having to update computers 2 - cost me twice the bandwidth on a connection slow broadband.

    Last week, I bought the laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-847 (Satellite A100-SPAA9) which has an Intel Core 2 Duo, model T7200.

    Specifications Intel, this processor (as all Core and Core 2 processors) has the particularity of XD - bit, known in Windows like DEP. I had the unpleasant surprise to discover that this feature is
    reported by Windows as unavailable (in hardware). I got the electronic manual on the recovery CD (which is an edition that is older than the printed manual that comes in the package) that I can do this feature
    available (for some older models of Satellite) but I couldn't find any option in my BIOS to do this (my BIOS is made by Phoenix, version 2.0).

    I really want to know how to make this feature available/active as my processor socket and so is the operating system purchased with the laptop and more than that, this feature is something beneficial - specially designed for security reasons and supported by all modern processors and operating systems.
    What do I have to wait for an updated BIOS include this option (to activate the feature XD bit) or that it is automatically set as active/available (instead of disabled/not available)?

    I expect a well documented answer from someone who knows what I'm talking about.

    I want to assure you that I understand completely.  Birthday cards that you are wanting are likely coming from the Hallmark greeting cards app available to some printers depending on your region.  It is a 3rd party application that is controlled by this Distributor.  Regions and the printer availability is defined by this 3rd party company.

    On the sheets to cover Fax, I checked on the availability in your area and you are right in saying that it is not available. I wasn't able to get a definitive reason behind why, but my best speculation would have to be some differences in the structure of the composition according to your region.

    I was able to confirm through workers in your area, however, that these 2 apps are not available in the region of the Canada well and you are not somehow overlooking them.

    We've tried lately set up the wireless connection, and we couldn't.

    There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

    A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support. They should not be made lightly!
