Printing error on Adobe PDF

Last week, I bought a new computer

Windows 8, 64 bit OS

Intel® Core™ i7-3632QM CPU @ 2.20 GHz

8.00 GB of RAM

I've disabled Adobe Acrobat on my old PC and started installing Adobe Acrobat version 8 standard on my new computer. During installation I got an error message that I googled. The opinion that prevails for the problem seemed to be extracted the compressed .cab installation file from AdobePDF.dll_64 and to use during the installation that I did. However although Acrobat 8 is installed and running (somehow) I can't print to Adobe PDF format for all applications (e.g. MS Word) which is mainly the kind of thing I want to do with Acrobat

I realize that version 8 is now quite an old version of Acrobat, I bought an update when I bought the old computer, as the version I had at that time would not work with Vista and I am now facing the same type of problem with Windows 8, really, I don't want to spend 5000 more Norwegian upgrade to Acrobat XI that anyone has any ideas on how to solve the problem?

Is the error message I get when I try to print in PDF format

"Error on Adobe PDF printing"

If you discover things with Win8, 64-bit, you use AA8, please let us know. It is useful to let people know what works with the old software on new platforms. Be ready to deal with workarounds, but happy that you guessed it work. I guess that the 8.1 is the key (as it has been in the past for 64-bit systems). Good luck.

    Hi all

I have a new installation of Acrobat DC (15.006.30097) on a new installation (not an upgrade) Windows 10 64-bit (Intel i7, SSD, 8 GB of memory). Creating PDFs using the menus in Word / Excel / PPT works perfectly.  However, while the creation of PDFs by printing to 'Adobe PDF' created successfully the resulting pdf file, a pop-up "on Adobe PDF print error" appears and the document remains in the print Adobe PDF queue.  So after every pdf I created by printing to the Adobe PDF format, I need to manually clear the Adobe PDF document print queue.

Word of welcome from thoughts and thanks.

    Hi AndyNils,

Open Acrobat DC, go to the Help menu and repair the installation.

  • WARNING 20225. Adobe Acrobat7.0 failed to create a new item. Adobe PDF Port / printer. The Adobe PDF printer may be unavailable.

Try installing Adobe Acrobat Version 7.0 on a new PC running Windows 7. Get the error message-

"Attention 20225. Adobe Acrobat7.0 failed to create a new item. Adobe PDF Port / printer. The Adobe PDF printer may be unavailable."

    any help appreciated

On behalf of Adobe, no version of Acrobat before 8.1 is completely installable or useable on any version of Windows beyond Windows XP. There are fundamental differences in the way that the Adobe PDF printer is installed and accessible on later (1) Windows Vista and/or (2) 64 - bit versions of Windows. In addition, Acrobat 7 coordinates with all recent versions of all Microsoft Office applications. You need Acrobat DC licenses at this stage.

    Hi markusa57,

You could try to mention below as follows:

1 check if there is an update available for Acrobat, launch Acrobat > go to the Help menu > then select check updates.

    2. If that doesn't work, try to remove the printer Adobe PDF under control panel and then add it again. Go to control panel > select devices and printers > under printers > select Adobe PDF > right-click on it and select Remove the instrument. To manually add the Adobe PDF printer, visit this link:install PDF printer manually.

3-If this does not work, try to repair the installation of Acrobat under Help menu > select repair installation.

Could you please let me know the version of Acrobat installed on the machines DC?

    (1) confirming the previous answer than if you print to Adobe PDF, PostScript printer driver instance, in fact it will fail. It is built-in to Acrobat Distiller functionality to prevent the free removal of security on a PDF file.

    (2) there are very good reasons for securing financial documents. In simple terms, a nonsecure reception or a financial document can be too easily changed for criminal purposes. For example, a non-profit, I worked with that was scammed on a bit of funds by a staff member who changed bills of credit card incoming mask of embezzling funds in PDF format. This protection has its drawbacks, but at least you don't need to worry about the integrity of the content.

Hi, can someone sat down. I am compiling a pdf file by inserting several documents and cannot remove specific pages. I used this function on an older version of Adobe Pro but have an editing problem.

Could be that the pdf file is damaged. If you cannot re-create the file in other ways try refrying the PDF by printing to the Adobe Pdf virtual printer pdf.

  • Print this manual as PDF problem

    Using InDesign CS4 606, Acrobat Pro 920 and OS x 10.6.7.

I have a brochure A4 40page with the verse pages.  I would use the characteristic imprint of booklet to create a 2-top stitching horse PDF.

I've set up to print to the Adobe PDF 9.0 printer. After choosing my settings, I click Print in the print booklet dialog box.  My print job appears in the print queue Adobe PDF 9.0 with the message "you must install the software to use this printer. To install software choose software update from the Apple Menu. If the software for your printer is not available in Software Update, contact the manufacturer of your printer. "I check the software update and have no update."

    Can anyone help?  Thank you.

Unless something has changed in 10.6.7, what is possible, you must print to postscript from print booklet, not the printer PDF file, use the Acrobat PPD file, then distill in a second time.

  • When I try to print a file ID PDF transforms the drawing in a worse

    Hello everyone

My name is Ishmael, and I work with InDesign CS6.
I am trying to print a document from ID, in which I placed some vector designs for Illustrator (and before that, they come to the Academy). The problem I find, to which I was not able to find a solution, is that when I try to export to interactive PDF my drawing quality diminishes, it s like ID do all lines and its thickness in the he loves the most and my picture becomes a completely different, with a worse quality.

It's the way my drawing actually looks at a preview of the ID. Exactly as I want to be printed.

    Captura2.JPG

And that's how ID prints, after that I tried to export the document in PDF format (no matter if I try as an Interactive-PDF, print PDF, or if I try to print with the Adobe PDF printer)

    Captura.JPG

I was looking hard all over the web, and I have not found any similar explanation on what could pass me.

Is this someone might know that could be the problem?

Thank you so much for all those who want to help me

    Best regards

    Ishmael

How you view the exported PDF file? In the drive? Acrobat? Something else?

For reliability, it should be Reader or Acrobat and if it's one of those, try this:

Edit > Preferences > Page Display > (uncheck) improve fine lines (it is enabled by default; it disable)
