PrintShop version 6 in Windows 8

I try to install PrintShop version 6 on a new computer Windows 8.  I used the program compatibility Wizard, and it seems not to be compatible.  I can do - or basically, can I not use it on the new computer?  Thank you.

Hello

I'm going to by a program from Broderbund that I called screenshot 8 Deluxe, which was for XP.

As regards to the copy of the CD goes, I would just do this right at the beginning.

If you autorun of the CD, it won't install... you have to OPEN (explore) the CD and the compatibility of the "SETUP"... This worked well for Win 7, but not to win 8.

This "special" CONFIGURATION is nothing else than a container for an another "SETUP" on the inside, and it's the one that I had to put the compatibility of to win 8.

If you click on the first "SETUP", you can or can not see something like "Extract" in the menu that opens. If you do, you're all set... just click on it and go to the folder that it creates to join the 2nd "Setup."

It is you who must assign XP SP3 Compatibility Mode.

If you see not "excerpt" of a certain type, you will need to program 3rd party like 7Zip to extract (open) it.

This may not work any better than the wizard of compatibility... but sometimes the built in Windows assistants do not work for things like, it's because they "Miss" the fact that there is a 2nd installation for example, inside the other.

You may not even have a "SETUP." You are Installer can be 'INSTALL' instead, but everything else would work the same...

If this was not clear enough, feel free to ask again...

Microsoft has been working hard on making sure that the look and feel (user experience) is very similar acros several versions of windows so users don't need much addapting from time to the new user interface. Up to Windows Vista, the internal workings were very similar. Starting with Windows Vista, Microsoft has done a lot of work on the internals of the operating system. Although, if I remember correctly, the core system has not changed since Windows 98 (maybe even Windows 95). But of course, since then, many new features have been introduced, and bugs have been fixed.

  • Running the version of the Windows XP Explorer in Vista

I would like to use the version of the Windows Explorer in XP to Vista. It was much simpler sort files into folders by creation date, size, etc.

    Hello wwolverton,

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

Try after step in this article there is an option

Using the files in the Panel Options, you can change how work your files and folders, as well as the display of the content in your folders.

Open the Options folder by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.

Change the mode of display folders

You can change the way your folders look and strive to meet your needs. For example, you can open all files and folders with a single click (for example, links in a Web page) instead of the usual double-click. Here is an overview of the settings that you can change:

    TO

    To do this

Apply the settings of the current view (for example, list, details, or large icons) to all folders on your computer that are the same type as the folder that you have currently open. (Documents and details of the music are examples of file types).

In the file that is currently open, click on organize on the toolbar and then click folder and Search Options.

In Folder Options, click the view tab, and then click on apply to records. (To switch these folders back to their)

settings by default, click Reset Folders)

Turn off the preview pane and the details pane in all folders. This setting gives you more space to view the files by hiding the components that you do not have.

Click the general tab and then click on use Windows classic folders. (To re-enable the components, click filters and preview.)

Open each new folder in its own folder window. This can be handy if you want to keep all the files you are working on the screen at the same time.

Click the general tab and then click on open each folder in its own window. (To make each new folder replace the previous folder window, click on open each folder in the same window.)

Open an item with one click. Use this setting if you want the files and folders to open with a single click, just like links on a Web page.

Click the general tab, and then click single-click to open an item. (To return to the standard click, click double-click to open an item.)

To restore the behavior of origin of your files, click the general tab, and then click default settings.

    Top of page

Change advanced file and folder settings

    Original title: windows 7

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

Make sure you scroll down and read the section:

What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

The question is: what is correct, legal, etc. in order to update or reinstall? All I want is a clean system, I do not if it'll be 10 or 7.

No, this isn't how it works.

    Figure 10 Windows Product Activation:

In previous versions of Windows, when you have installed a version upgrade of Windows, if you want to reinstall the upgrade version, you had first reinstall permissible version where you upgraded, reactivate, then upgrade again and reactivate again.

With Windows 10, this is no longer the case. Once you have upgraded to Windows 10 and enable, you can simply create a bootable copy on DVD or USB and reinstall all Windows 10 without having to reinstall the release candidate and it automatically reactivates.

    Quote:
