Go back to the file--> new private window. For Safari open with a window private all the time, go to Safari preferences--> general and change 'Safari opens with' to "A new private window."

Hello!
Private browsing, Safari seems to be possible with this method that found in the activities of the apple community. It was posted by Andy, I think!
The suggestion was the following: Applications-> utilities-> Terminal. In the Terminal, write the following without quotes "by default write com.apple.safari WebKitHistoryAgeInDaysLimit 0 there was this warning: not trested carefully... so beware a little." To cancel: same command but with a number from 1 to 5 instead of the value 0.
I tried recently and it seems to work as long as you leave I have Safari in the Dock and go to Safari using Outlook signature in. This will give you a black search window which is the search engine of private browsing. Thanks to this system: OS X El Capitan v10.11.5.

You don't need to do this if you want to browse in private mode. Go to Safari preferences-> general and where it says "open Safari with ', select"New window private."

Safari 9 (El Capitan) is to save cookies in private browsing
Hello
I noticed that Safari 9 (OS X El Capitan) saves cookies when I'm in the private browsing window.
When I visit certain websites (e.g. gizmodo.com) in private browsing, and I close the window, the site cookie is always displayed.
I tried to restart the Mac, but private browsing Safari cookies have not been deleted.
Apple says that: "when you are using a private browsing window: Safari doesn't remember the changes to your cookies or other data from the website." (9 safari (El Capitan): private browsing windows use)
I find this strange because in Firefox or Google Chrome incognito mode deletes cookies when you close the window.
Please try this as a test.
1 empty Caches
Safari > Preferences > advanced
Tick the box "Show develop menu in menu bar."
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click on develop and select 'Empty cache' in the menu dropdown.
2 Delete Cookies
Safari > Preferences > privacy > Cookies and other data from the website:
Click on the button "Details".
Delete all cookies except those from Apple, your internet service provider and the banks.
3 safari > file > new private window
Try the gizmodo.com site.
Safari > Preferences > privacy > Cookies and other data from the website:
Cookie of Gizmodo appears?
I've tested this and there was no gizmodo stored cookie after you close the private window.

Safari 9: Impossible to disable private browsing
Hello! I really need help. I wanted to remove private on my 9 Safari browsing and I found a lot of posts, websites and discussions on the withdrawal of private browsing, and above all, that's what I found:
1. go to the folder applications in the Finder
2. right click (with a mighty mouse mouse or mouse button 2 buttons, or Ctrl + click to the mouse) on safari and choose "Show Package Contents".
3. navigate to the content, then resources, then English.lproj folder (or a respective folder for the language that you may have)
4. double click on MainMenu.nib in interface builder open
5. look at the window with the menu safari, click on Safari to expand it, and then click the private browsing menu item.
6. press the DELETE key and it disappears!
7. Press command + s for save, close the interface generator if you want and restart safari.
So, I followed the steps up to the 4th, while I noticed there is no MainMenu.nib in my English.lproj. So, with that, I couldn't do anything. I tried to open the other s MainMenu.nib French, German, etc., but all were just pictures and had no REAL content. I really need help with that. I was about to uninstall Safari, but as I use El Capitan I couldn't, I then noticed that on El Capitan, you can not remove Safari. Please do help me.
[NOTE] Most reason why I want to disable private browsing is any form of explicit results that is not suitable for certain ages. Until it came across my mind enables SafeSearch for private browsing, but because when you close a private window all cookies are removed, the SafeSearch option does not save (in which I wanted it). Based on this thread by Google: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#! subject, websearch, mJ-BUVoLA08
It says I can use SafeSearch on windows private if I enable cookies from third party. I couldn't find a way to do it, so if you are unable to resolve the first issue, please do help me with this one if you can.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
-Edward

In Safari, tap the icon at the bottom right of your iPhone which shows 2 boxes stacked one on the other. After this tapping, tap private in the lower left corner. You can disable private browsing following these same steps.

Browser Safari keeps popping up ads in a new tab by saying that my mac is infected with the virus, the advertising comes back repeatedly.
N ° any message in a web browser saying that a Mac OS X system has a virus or other software malware is a scam; some sites Web legitimately analyzes the files uploaded to them, but is unable to scan the entire system.
Even on Windows, unless you manually ran a scan of malware in your web browser, the same applies.

If I'm out in private browsing when I restart I can not restore the previous session
I'm newbie/PC illiterate
THANKS Mozilla AND VOLUNTEER FOR the EXISTINGPrivate browsing mode is designed to keep not take of your browsing history. This allows users to browse the internet without their history to be saved on his computer. For this reason, you cannot restore a session that was made in private browsing mode, the session is permanently deleted from the closing of Firefox.
If you want to have the ability to restore previous sessions, please use Firefox in normal browse mode.
For more information on the incognito of Firefox, please read this Mozilla support article:

Hello
I have this problem since Firefox 1.1 for iOS. I've updated to version 1.2 (1206) but the problem persists.
When I press the button "tabs count" on the upper right corner, the tabs preview screen with '+' button on the top right corner but THERE IS NOT button "incognito" on his left (it is only black box empty, do you need a screenshot?). Is this a bug or private browsing is not available yet for iOS?
If the private browsing feature is implemented, how can I activate it?
Thanks in advance!
I hope that Firefox will become my favorite browser on iOS too! Keep up the good work!EDIT: misspelling.
Hi spas123, thanks for your kind comments - as far as I know, the private in firefox navigation feature works only on devices with ios9...

Private browsing mode does not work
I've been without a pc for a while, now have a new with Windows 10. Just downloaded latest Firefox. I put it to always open in private browsing mode. But it does not work. When I close the browser, and then re - opening, my start page is not display the mask or indicate private browsing. I can get it in the usual way, just right-click on the icon that gives you options to open the new window or a private.
I tried to turn on/off the navigation mode private the several times, still no luck.Probably, you won't see the purple mask of private browsing mode when you are in permanent PB mode because all windows are automatically in PB mode.
You will see the mask when Firefox is started in normal mode and you open a new private window. You can use an extension for private browsing mode support tab.
- Private tab: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/private-tab/
- Private browsing mode tabs get a dotted underline
- You can enable or disable private browsing mode / disable via the context menu of a tab

The mask purple of the private browsing mode, where is it?
Hello!
I installed Firefox 42.0 on my PC running Windows 7 SP1 32 bit and it is stable. But the purple mask, the novelty of the private browsing mode, does not work in the following scenarios. I don't see the purple mask on top of windows.1 right-click on the "Mozilla Firefox" shortcut, and then select Properties. Add ""-private "at the end of the area target;" \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"- private.
2 tools > Options > privacy > history, click on the box "always use the private browsing mode.
Do you have any advice?
Best regards
BluePencilYou will see the purple mask if Firefox is in normal mode and you open a new private window.
If you are in permanent private browsing mode, so there is no need to display the icon and it is deleted. You can use an extension for private browsing mode support tab.
- Private tab: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/private-tab/
- Private browsing mode tabs get a dotted underline
- You can enable or disable private browsing mode / disable via the context menu of a tab

How can I get permanent Private Browsing, I want to save passwords?
I tried several times to turn off private browsing which requires a reboot. After the reboot, private browsing is always engaged. What I want, it is to be able to save passwords from time to time and can't restore that work in private browsing.
Your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.
The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present. You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session. You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them .html and .txt, so you can see only a file name without .ini and .js file extension.
You can see the type of actual file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer. -
Where are stored the information session for "private browsing"?
I have a frozen private browsing session that I don't want to lose.
It's a bit complicated, so... I have a prior (not private) regular session which is restored when you open a regular browser. I have closed the session and opened directly into a private window. About two dozen open tabs later, the camera froze and I'm about to lose all the work I had done.
I tried screenshot tabs so I could at least get an idea of what I had opened, but when I went to paste the Clipboard, he had nothing, and now the browser is minimized at all times (not answer).
Is there a file in the profile folder containing the URLS of open tabs? I don't have FF forcequit immediately.
I can't imagine that they would be in "sessionstore" since that holds the non-prive session (correct?) and it does not resemble these files have changed/summer changed since the opening of the private meeting. Wouldn't be a file of type "places" or "sessioncheckpoints"?
All tracks on this would be greatly appreciated.
I don't think you can get work if it is not registered to anywhere where you were. I suggest you do all the work in the sessions of navigation non-private, do not have this problem. If it's frozen, you can expect a response, or say goodbye to the work.
In addition, this article provides a few more Safari specific recommendations as well:
Web OS component X El Capitan: parental controls preferences
Use this pane to prevent children from watching inappropriate content on the Internet when using Safari. Parental controls may try to block known adult sites and filter any inappropriate content. However, it is not always possible to determine the relevance of the information on the web.
To open the parental controls preferences, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Parental control, and then click Web.
To remove a Web site from the list, select it, then click on the button Delete .
Allow access to these Web sites only
Let Safari only access Web sites.
To add a Web site, click on the button Add , choose Add bookmark from the context menu, and then type a name and favorite Web site address.
To add a folder of bookmarks, click the button Add , choose Add folder from the pop-up menu, and then type a name for the folder.
To remove an item, select it, then click on the button Delete .
Newspapers
Monitor the use of the child of the Mac. Click on newspapers for information on the app of the child and on the Internet. For more information, see use of the child of the computer monitor.
