  I wonder why you are not able to delete PDF pages.

• Acrobat did a update and now the interface is a bit different and I don't have the ability to delete/insert pages. How to regain this ability?

  Are you sure you use Acrobat and not the free player? Please give details of your operating system (and version), the name and version of the program that you use, and what happens when you try to remove/insert pages in your file.

  Looks like you may have updated to misapplication. Probably, you have Adobe Acrobat (the full version) and installed Adobe Acrobat Reader instead. If you had "improved" Adobe Acrobat, it would have cost you money. Acrobat Reader is free.

• Insert Page breaks in Documents

  I need to insert page breaks in some documents and cannot find information on how to do it.  On win 98 it was control (enter) but this does not work on Vista.  Can someone help me on this stupid problem, please?  I would be Greatful SO I can at least do SOMETHING with Vista!

  Without knowing the program, it is impossible to tell you how to make a page break (they are all different).  Notepad or Wordpad supports the pagebreak feature (CTRL-enter as you say for Microsot Word {version today as well} and a few others that I wasn't aware that it worked in Windows 98 supplied "processing" programs more than it does today).  Maybe you were using a different program, and then (as Word or WordPerfect or Works or something like that).

  If you have no Microsoft Office (so do not Microsoft Word), then I strongly suggest you download the OpenOffice free at www.openoffice.org , which reflects a large part of the core functionality of the Office (with the exception of Outlook) and has a program called writer which is a program of processing excellent - better by far than what comes with Vista.  It can even open and work with Microsoft Office documents (even those of 2007 and I believe that the beta of 2010).  It will certainly have a page break function (as well as MANY other features that come with the office suites only expensive (but again, this is free and despite this, it is excellent).)  If you do not have Microsoft Office or another suite purchased offfice, then I HIGHLY recommend you download and use this set of programs instead of what comes with Vista (although there are times when what you really need is an option such as Notepad - cheap and Notepad is also good for making batch script files if you are into that sort of thing).  But if you do a real word processor, you must definitely pass.  If you go, try CTRL + entry for a page break and if that is not working then check page break in helping get the correct keyboard command - but I bet it's the same thing.

  Don't be too upset that this means that you need a 3rd party program "do something with Vista.  OpenOffice is so much better that it is not yet a comparison value.  The truth is that products delivered with Vista are just not as good as some of those available on the open market (be it for a price or sometimes free).  I happen to love Vista Center backup and restore (but it's really good in more expensive versions of Vista (business and above)- and yet, there is a 3rd best product part out there for that as well (Acronis: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ but it is not free).)

  There are some Vista programs that may be useful.  Some people use Microsoft Mail and Microsoft Contacts as long as their email client (and customer contact) - Although many who start this way switch to Microsoft Live Mail (it's a little better than Microsoft Mail), and of course, if you have Microsoft Office, you should definitely switch to Outlook (which is MUCH better, but it costs money that the Office is not free).  As a free alternative, many use Mozilla Thunderbird http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/ as, yet once, it is a better product with more features and options (and it's free Unlike Outlook).  The program Microsoft Search in Vista is very good if you take the time to learn how to use wisely and has need of no alternative.

  Remember that none of these other programs would work without Windows Vista (or some other OS) behind it - so it does not serve an important purpose.  You wouldn't be able to post on this site without Vista and a browser.  If you use Internet Explorer, it's kind of like using Vista because version 7 comes with Vista and cannot be added or removed (it's part of the base OS) - If you're probably using IE8 that was the upgrade (and a value of upgrade).

  I have a custom insert page. When the user enters and click on submit, I want to do all the other fields read-only except 'create another button of registration '.

  Also, I have a lov in my custom page, when the user selects invalid values, error messages will be displayed. My problem is same after displaying the error message, the user has the option to navigate to the order of the day and enter data and submit. How to prevent the user to navigate to the order of the day if the value entered is not valid.

  Please suggest your ideas.

  Option 1: Add a controller to the dynamic region and ad whereclause LOV to limit the LOV query, so that it will not allow the user to select the 100.

  Option 2: The LOV (if required), just remove the value of the element LOV LOV action, based on the State.

  I have an applescript script that runs perfectly with Acrobat pro 10.

  But now I want to run it on a computer where is installed Acrobat pro 11 and makes Acrobat quit on the command "insert pages."

  I installed Acrobat 11 on my mac as well and it has the same behavior: it closes on the pages of the insert.

  If I use the 10 Acrobat, it is running properly...

  Everyone knows the same problem or a solution?

  OK, I found it myself:

  1. Tools - Pages - Edit Page Design - Header & Footer - add header & footer.

  2. Select the font and size, etc., place the cursor on the appropriate site to insert the page number, click on the button "Insert Page number" and click OK.

• CS5 crashes when inserting pages.

  I have a 64 page document.

  In the Pages palette, I need to insert 4 pages after page 3.  Whenever I have insert pages, it hangs and quits the program.

  I find Indesign CS5 very unstable.  Surprising.

  It is certainly the document, and whatever it is don't like CS5 is on Master C. I removed this master page, and I can insert pages without problem.

  Here, I could tell what might be the problem on this basic form, but I can't. I don't see that this started as a CS3 doc and it doesn't seem to be problems with the converted files this time. You could try to export .inx or .idml since the CS4 version before the conversion, and then open and convert it into CS5.

• CS5 InD crashing on Add/Insert page (s)

  Doc opened/saved in CS5 CS4. Since I started working with this document in CS5, it has been crashing almost every time I try to add pages using the page layout-> Pages-> Add page, CMD + SHIFT + P, set page - > Pages - > Insert pages, or the button _.

  I tried to export to .idml and re-opening and resaving in CS5, but it did not help.

  I tried with all the combinations of "Pages of Document allows Shuffle" and "Allow selected spread to Shuffle" checked/unchecked. If I try to insert Pages and you try to insert between 1 and 9, with neither 'allow' selected, it adds all the pages in a double. And then crashes. With the two "allows" selected, it goes right down. With just "Selected to allow" or just "help Document" checked, it breaks down, and when I open InD again the doc is removed from the recently opened list.

  If I try to insert 10 pages + I get an error: "propagation cannot have more than 10 pages" - which makes me think I can have selected something inadvertently or there is a new default in CS5 associated with the new doc sizes capacity? I have master for 11 x 8.5 and 8.5 x 11 pages in the document.

  When I try it just add Page/shift-CMD-P, or the button, sometimes added a pages, sometimes it crashes. Normally, if it does not crash, I can add up to 6 or so pages, then it crashes maybe 6 or twice before resuming the process. I can't find any other problems with the document, just that.

  Does anyone know what whether I might miss? Any help would be much appreciated!

  The .idml file will open in CS4?

  I don't know if this will help (this sounds like corruption to document, but it could be a bad font), but if you open the .idml file in CS4 you can export into .inx, open and re-export to .idml and open in CS5. I have more confidence in .inx file cleanup I do in .idml.

• I saved a page in the album I didn't need. I then saved the page I wanted to, but I can't remove unwanted scrapbook page. How can I remove it?

  I saved a home page, and then I found the right page, I wanted and saved. Scrapbook doesn't give me any options to remove the unwanted page. Is there anyway to remove this page from the album?

  Click the scrapbook menu and select "Show in the Sidebar" (default shortcut keys are Alt - K). From there, you can display all the saved items. Right-click and select the delete option.

  There should be an option in layout to "Flip on long edge" or "return on the short edge.  Change this setting to change the orientation of the back page.

  If this does not resolve the problem that, please indicate what operting system you have and the number of exact model.

  Microsoft Works supports page numbers: it is in the header or the footer.  You don't mention what version you have. Header, footer, Page #: Click viewon the Menu bar at the top of the screen. Click on headers and footers to. Type the text that you want in the header or the footer in the appropriate window. (You can add page numbers to your document by typing& p in the header or the footer windows. After the & p or other text that you type in these windows to left-, Center-, or justify right page number or text, type & l,& c, or & r . (You can also use& f for the file name of your printed document automatically in the header or the footer). Here is an article on how to start the page numbering on page 2 rather than on page 1 in severalhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/76167versions, but the instructions you also lead to where you need to add page numbers.  Microsoft Word is a more sophisticated than Microsoft Works program and has many more features (and cost more).

  Assuming that you do not want to pay for Microsoft Word or any of the Office Suites, I recommend to download and install the FREE OpenOfficewww.openoffice.org , which includes many of the most popular Microsoft Office products (Finally, programs that do the same things, but not really Microsoft) which a writer who is a comprehensive word processing program and can do almost everything that Microsoft Word can do (and more Microsoft Works can do) - including the numbering of the pages.  This is a great set of programs and again, they are FREE, so you have nothing to lose by trying of their and see if it will do the work for you.  I am sure that you prefer them on Microsoft Works and some people even they prefer on Microsoft Office (even if I personally prefer Office - probaby because I'm used to it as much as anything else).

  My HP Officejet Pro L7680 print a blank page before every PDF print job, regardless if it's a PDF I create or a tht is sen for me.  All PDF files behave in the same way. The Document is good, but its annoying to have to go out the blank sheets and put back them in the printer.

  There could be a few things gong here, we will make sure that you have not configured it to use a separator between the draw sheet:

  1. go to your devices and printers

  2. right-click on your JO L7680

  3. navigate to printing properties

  4. click on the Advanced tab

  5. click on the Separator Page

  It was empty or was there something put there? If something is listed here please delete and apply the changes.
