  • Problem with activation of acrobat pro after PC crash

    I have a key for my CS3.3 master collection. After that my laptop I installed master collection and acrobat pro again. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to disable the software on my old laptop because of the accident. Photoshop etc works fine and I was able to activate it but when I run acrobat pro, I get the message that my key is installed on 2 PC and I can't use it once more. I have this key many years ago and I already had a problem in the past with my old computer. I was sure I disabled all of the adobe products, but maybe I forgot to acrobat pro. What possibility I have to use this key again. Adobe Live-Support told me that this version is no longer supported and I have to ask in the forum. Please help me!

    You must save them to be backward compatible. You can only set your printer Adobe PDF option. In Acrobat, you do not save, but use reduce the size of file or PDF Optimizer for backward compatibility. You might have added something that was specific AA9 that causes the problem. Depends on if you create forms or what. When you are dealing with a company, it's probably a good idea to keep backward compatibility at least version 6, but it looks like 5 for your case if you distribute Reader 5 on the CD. I maintain AA5 compatibility of files that I create.

    Did you test different DVD in the drive? I think it might be a hardware problem. For a long time, I had a similar problem, my drive wrote DVD CD only.

    You probably have a download incomplete/corrupted.  This should be about 1.4 GB.

    Re-download and try the install again.

    You don't have the serial number. OEM product has generally serial numbers. Contact the OEM manufacturer. (After the fact, I don't know if the OEM product is eligible for upgrade pricing, but I don't remember seeing an exclusion).

I have an access request that generates a lot of single page PDF reports in a folder on the user's computer, then when it's over, it combines all files in a single pdf file on the desktop of users. If the user has left open Acrobat Pro before it begins to run reports, when it starts to try to combine the files, he will receive an error message.

    I would check if Adobe Acrobat Pro is open from the beginning of the routine, so that the user doesn't have to spend as much time regenerating reports yet. I was not able to find the VBA code that will do this. Can anyone help?

    Hello test screen name. I do catch the error and generate a friendly error message to ask the user to close Adobe Acrobat. The problem is, according to the criteria they choose for the report, it might take 5-10 minutes before you still see this error because of the hundreds of individual reports pdf it takes to generate. It is not until my code is ready to combine these pdf files they see the message. So, it is not really an error of execution, so to speak.

    But, I found the answer to my question and I wanted to share with everyone. The answers are found here:

    What I did, is to paste all of the code in these 2 pages in a new module of access. Then I made sure that Adobe Acrobat is loaded on my machine. I ran the fEnumWindows() void and it printed all my open programs class names. I got the class name for Adobe Acrobat, which is AcrobatSDIWindow. Then, I modified the select case statement in the following function, to include the Acrobat of the string and the name of the class:

    Failure of hard drive of my MacBook Pro & I downloaded after getting a new hard drive and tried to reinstall Adobe Acrobat Pro version XI full that I purchased in 2014 but it gives me a window titled update the number of series & indicates that my serial number is valid and asks me to select a product from a drop-down list. The only problem is that Adobe Acrobat Pro XI is not listed in the drop-down list. Help, please. Thank you.

    It shows the message that you have found that you install using an upgrade license.  The version that you choose in the list must be the older version that you upgraded, and then you will need to provide the serial number as well.

  • Acrobat Pro 9.5.2 no updates available (to 9.5.3)

    Since reading the release of updates of January 8, 2013, I tried to update Acrobat Pro 9.5.2 9.5.3 to but "Check for Updates" in help invariably returns "No updates available."

    I downloaded the manual update, but I try to get the check for updates of work to avoid always having to manually update the product.

    I first checked Acrobat 9 Pro and when that could not find the update first decided to update Acrobat Reader and subsequently checked frequently rechecked Acrobat Pro and still have the problem of not finding the updated version.  Reader X set to update from the previous version to the current 10.1.5.33 I'll probably kill to get to 11 player.

    Thought to uninstall Acrobat Pro produced for me, but the process of update to Acrobat 9 Pro has proved to be extremely heavy due to a large number of updates that must be successively updated not to mention a very slow process, because the original for Acrobat 9 Pro updates were not incremental and complete software replacement necessary.

    I tried the option fix for Acrobat 9 Pro, but only wasted my time and did not correct the problem.

    And, if your Acrobat licenses does not work, try first fix the programs option in the control panel.

    Turns out that Acrobat Pro DC is only available in 32-bit for Windows. There is a 64 bit version for Mac. Seems silly, but that's how it is. From the Adobe site:

    I use Acrobat Pro XI on PC Windows 8.1 since January 2014 with no problems.  Now suddenly Acrobat Pro XI open at all!  For some reason any reader XI has also been installed and would open a PDF if specifically asked when this become a problem, so I uninstalled the drive where he was being stupid.  Now I can't open any PDF file at all.

    Acrobat Pro XI was purchased outright, as a stand-alone license (vs part CS6 etc. and not as a subscription service) and I can't open the program, I can't disable the license and uninstall/reinstall.  And of course I can't do it via another program I don't have CS6.

    I have CS6 on my Mac as a subscription service, but the Mac and Windows versions were coexist on my account since January so I see no reason why there is a conflict now.

    The typical solution is to run repair from the control panel > programs & features. You could also try to download the updates and see if updates fixes the problem. Try first the repair (if you tried to drive). The updates are at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows. With XI, they began to make the cumulative updates, so 11.0.10 should do the job. I know that you can install 11.0.09 and then update to 10, if necessary. When you do the repairs and updates, disable the anti-virus if possible (not sure how to do this with the Defender).
