Problem connecting an SDM Service on Windows 7

Hello world

I'm new to BB development scene, so let me just get this right of the road and allow you all to keep you well for what could be a problem or a really stupid question

Basically, on a new install of Win 7, I installed Eclipse Galileo and then through the eclipse "Install new software" menu item, added to the eclipse update site BB Widget development tools.

Everything was fine and dandy after installation - I could run widgets very well and MDS connected like a star. Then one day I got the crazy idea that some kind of code hinting would speed up my process of development within Eclipse. I decided to install Aptana, and not long after that the installation process was finished and I had restarted Eclipse, I found that any option to create a BB widget disappeared since menu items. I could not also run existing test BB projects I had created. Glad I was not.

Long story short, I spent some time to reinstall BB/eclipse, BB/eclipse uninstalling & reinstalling and finally I got my return environment by downloading and installing the BB 2 Widget with Eclipse package on the BB site.

It is where I am pretty well today, except for one problem - MDS connection Service not dΘmarre correctly.  Here is a screenshot of the command prompt when I run my test BB widget project:

SCM 4.1.5.26 26 2008/02/06
<2010-06-22 18:05:05.770 BST>:[0]:::
<2010-06-22 18:05:05.790 BST>:[1]:::
<2010-06-22 18:05:05.792 BST>:[2]:::
<2010-06-22 18:05:05.874 BST>:[3]:::

This last line looks like the culprit blatently, but I can't understand why it does not work now. I can make the assumption that the access permissions or firewall settings are tangled MDS somehow, but without knowing what account you want to give permissions to or firewall exception to add that I am a little at a loss to try to fix this.

Would appreciate any help on this!

See you soon

Lee

What I would say, is to install the plug-in in a non-protected folder on Windows 7 UAC.  Program Files has all sorts of impersonation of security and user limits based on your UAC settings in Windows 7.

I suggest you install Eclipse in a folder somewhere that has as much protection of authentication such as 'C:\Eclipse.

UAC Windows 7 combined can cause a lot of questions when it comes to Java and the user of the process.  It's a bit nebulous art to get it all working properly

  • Problems connection Canon SX280 WiFi for Windows 7 (64-bit)

    I hope someone can help me.

    I recently bought a Canon SX280HS that has possibilities of wifi, and I'm having a problem connecting to my laptop.     I use a laptop Dell Inspiron N7110 running Windows 7 (64-bit).   It connects to the internet and a printer wireless via a pretty new without and problems at all Netgear wifi router.    This laptop also has Intel (R) My Wifi Technology, and I can access the utility to it via the control panel.

    After installing wifi set up the software provided with the camera, I first tried to connect the camera via the Netgear router.   After putting in the correct encryption key (I did this many, many times), he search the device, but it is never and eventually times out with a "communication error" and "device not found."

    I was ready to return the camera to Amazon...

    But then I tried to connect the camera using the Intel(r) my Wifi utility.   I activated the technology, put in the correct encryption key, and the cannon appears on the users list, showing its MAC address and a wifi signal strong.   The camera then sees the name of my Dell laptop, but when I try to connect it, all I get is 'connection '.  Finally, it ends with a "communication error" and "connection failed."

    At this point, I find the wifi on the camera works properly because it clearly links to the Intel(r) my Wifi on my laptop.

    Can someone tell me how to configure my laptop to allow the rest of the connection?     Oh, I tried this many times with my anti-virus IT and OFF and my firewall ON and OFF, and it does make a difference.

    Thanks for your help.

    Had the same problem with the same device under Windows. For me, I fixed it by going to control panel > network and sharing Center > view network computers and devices (this, while the camera tries to connect to your PC. I then click with the right button on my camera icon and click "install". Also, make sure that 'file and printer sharing' are on (my PC actually invited this). Don't know if this will help, but worked for me. Can now import wireless!

    Hello

    It may seem like a stupid question, but running the cache server and the .net client on the same host? As you have localhost in the hostname of these two configurations, this obviously does not work.

    You are running on a computer with only a single IP address? If it has more than a localhost address that uses the cache server may not be the same as the .net client. I had this happen to me on a Windows PC where for some reason any WebCam installed on this computer has also installed its own network drivers and messed up mapped as localhost IP addresses. According to your newspaper, listen to the Proxy are spread over 192.168.0.19 port 9099 so you can check that the .net client attempts to use the same address. Or you could remove the localhost issue by changing your configuration files to use the actual host name of your machine instead of "localhost".

    I just read your original post once again and I'm curious to know why you do that

    (ICacheService)CacheFactory.GetService("ExtendTcpProxyService");

    What do you want an instance of the Proxy Service on the client, because there's not much you can do with it?

    I set up a virtual from Windows 7 on Fusion 4 computer and it seems to be running OK, i.e. can run applications and access the internet.

    However, I can not ping-access the correct Media Center by using the user account-profile.

    Please can you help so that I can remove my monster of a Windows PC.

    Thank you...

    By default, VMware Fusion sets the prompt to NAT virtual network adapter and you must set it to Bridged so the virtual machine is on the same subnet as the system you are trying to map a shared resource.

  • A problem connecting Wifi for DVG1000 on Windows 10

    I deleted the network name, as it was different from my journal in the name of WiFi (charged to Manage known networks) and now... I don't have or how I get it back?

    The reason why I deleted the name of WiFi was because the wireless setting name came as something different, so I had two names and thought to remove the one I don't use would not hurt... Big mistake because the only place where I see the name of wifi now is in managing known networks but not to the sign in page... No red or green light flashes on the Wifi...

    Now... This is the reason for my username! Thank you for the juggling of my memory, I really couldn't understand what had happened.

    100% happy.

  • Problem connecting to Windows Error Reporting Service

    Some reports may not be uploaded to the "Windows Error Reporting Service". Please try again later.

    How much later?

    Hi Bob,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

    According to the application, you experience problems connecting to the Windows Error Reporting Service.

    To help solve your problem better, could you give us the following information?

    1. Since when are you facing this problem?
    2. Do you receive an error message when you connect to the Windows Error Reporting Service?

    Method 1: check if Windows Error Reporting Service is started or not.

    1. click on start

    2. in the start search box, type Services

    3. click right on - RUN as ADMINISTRATOR

    Check if the below mentioned services has mentioned State and type start.

    Windows Error Reporting Service started Automatic\Manual.

    Also check the dependency services that are required for Windows Error Reporting Service to run.

    To verify that double-click the service, and click the Dependencies tab.

    Method 2: I suggest you run the checker system (SFC) analysis files and check if it helps.

    See the Microsoft support Article to start the scanning of the SFC.
