• Editor of PSE 8 crashes into Adobe Camera Raw

  This happens with one of these cases - 1. When I download a raw file in the editor, or 2. It downloads in Camera Raw, but then crashes when I click Open a picture. I have a version of Camera Raw 5.6. After it crashes, there is no error message, it disappears.

  It is very probably the cause of your problems. PSE can get confused when several versions of ACR are installed.   PSE load all files that it finds in the Plug-Ins folder and subfolders, regardless of its name.

  Using Windows Explorer, search for all versions of the plug-in "Camera Raw.8bi", (those which you have renamed or stashed in subfolders) under

  Adobe Photoshop C:\Program 8.0\Plug-ins\ elements

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements Organizer 8.0\Plug-ins\

  C:\Program Files\Fichiers-Files\Plug-Ins\

  Help > about Plug-Ins to check any version is loading.

  Then return to Adobe.com and download and reinstall ACR 5.6, making sure you follow the Setup instructions for PSE precisely.

• Why that editor from PSe 9 close when using Spot healing brush?

  PES 9 editor crashes when I try to use the Healing Brush Spot tool.  It allows me to change the brush size and select the area.  Then, after a few moments, the editor disappeared, and I'm back to the Organizer without changing the picture. Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

  You have a single processor? It is a known issue in the affirmative. It can work if you switch content know about the game of proximity in the options bar.

  When I edit a photo in PSE 8, the photo does not in my iPhoto.

  You will also need to go to preferences > on first save and set to save the existing file to PES. Then do a save as, just register, and you should get a version of iphoto.

  Hi, I hope this is the right place for this question and the common sense of Scripture. It is my first experience with this forum.

  Problem with Photoshop (PSE 9):

  1. I put pictures in a catalog of PES 9.
  2. For a while, everything was fine.
  3. Now, they seem to be more and more disappearing.
  4. When I click on the folder view:
     1. It is said there is no pictures here. Or
     2. It shows a small only a small proportion of the photos that are there.
  5. When I try to put the photos again, PES 9 says that they are already in the cataloge. (Too bad they can't be seen!)
  6. Photos can be "revealed in Explorer" that is why I know there is incompatibility.
  7. I have: -.
     1. some show all the pictures.
     2. optimized catalog.
     3. repaired the catalog.
     4. No selected tags.

  In any case, hope this gives enough information.

  I saw that other people have had this problem on various forums, but I have not read a response that still works.

  When I want to draw a line, or use the lasso, or straighten tool, I can only draw at 45 °-degree-steps. It seems that I changed a few settings, but I have no idea where to reset that...

• Elements PSE 7 and Windows 7

  I'm having a problem getting my editor from PSE to work under Windows 7. It keeps closing on me. Y at - it a patch for it. It is a relatively new purchase. I don't want to upgrade to PSE 8 or I don't think it's fair that Adobe makes me to upgrade.

• Lightroom spoil the photos when you use the external editor

  Hello world

  When I export images to an external editor, Lightroom moves the image and the copy of it at the end of the stack. This is a new phenomenon, generally the image remains in place and the copy is simply attached to it (chronological order). I use Lightroom 5.7, external editors are PSE 14 and affinity Photo. Problem with the two editors as well. No recent update, no change in the settings. Can you help me?

• PSE 13 changes

  I plan on upgrading the PES 10 to 13.  A few questions:

  -13 version does support 32-bit images (earlier versions are not). The reason that I ask is that HDR Efex Pro from NIK works only with 32-bit images. I was told that version 13 supports 32-bit images, but I doubt that's true.

  -You can set it to always start in Expert Mode at startup?  Version 10 by default, but I think it has changed since.  I have no need for the other 2 modes.

  -You can install the editor without installing the Organizer?  I do not use the Organizer.

  As far as I know, the pse 13 does support 32 bit/channel images.

  If you can open them using Camera Raw.

  You can configure the editor 13 pse always opens in Expert mode

  The Organizer is automatically installed with pse 13, so I don't think you can install photoshop elements 13 without the Organizer.

  The only exception I know of, would be if you have a mac and bought the pse 13 since the app store version, since the version is not the Organizer, but other problems

  as not able to install plugins third party and other, so it's not just to do not get the Organizer.

  (don't know if the pse 13 is available on the apple app store, but it's how previous versions were)

• PES 10 times Organizer and editor crash on multi-core hardware. set the processor affinity unique mode fixed

  As I pointed out in thread http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/941128 I found the editor and organizer for PES 10 crash in basic multi environment, I'm WIndows 64 bit, latest updates (including sp1), I had the same problems with Windows 7 32-bit.

  Workaround is to set the affinity to a single processor.  From the Task Manager, select the "processes" tab, find the exe (for example PhotoshopElementsOrganizer), right click, select "set affinity...". "and reduce the number of CPUS selected (checked) for a single.  (Under different versions of Windows specific means vary, but the basic steps are the same).  It doesn't matter what cpu choose you, but if you are the editor and organizer, put it on different processors.

  Pretty much everything these days being multi-core material, my hypothesis is that Adobe test in a virtualized environment and therefore do not discover this type of unreliabillity.  Adobe really need to test their software further exactly the same problem exists in PSE 6, is hardly new to them.

  The solution is in what precedes.

  If Adobe read this, they should take note that a virtualized environment does not provide a decent systems CPU multi-core fidelity emulation.  The ONLY way to test the reliability of an application is on REAL hardware.

• You can have 2 editors in LR

  I have PSE 8, which does not seem to be recognized by LR (2.x) as a Publisher. I can configure Edit | Preferences | Surface-mounted | Additional external editor. The problem is I want to be able to attribute this to another editor than PSE and have the PSE to occupy the unit of Photoshop. Is it possible to have LR to point to the PES as "Edit in Photoshop".

  You can have several additional external publishers defined. In the pane for external editing Preferences dialog box, choose whether to save your PSE as an external Editor preset. Then you can add another and also save it as a preset.

• PSE 13 hangs at startup on iMac after reinstall from a Time Machine backup.  Suggestions?

  iMac crashed but had good TimeMachine backup.  New iMac has bought and restored from Time Machine.  However, exceeded max no.. activations due to the accident and could not uninstall first.

  Adobe reset activations, uninstalled the recent version, downloaded and installed the new copy.  Able to activate, but at startup, editor of PSE crashed.

  Suggestions?

  Thanks for the quick response.  I uninstalled PSE 13 once again and then went into the library files and empty of any partner of PSE 13.

  Rebooted, reinstalled and it seems to work fine now.

• What version of PSE should I support Canon 7 d Mk11?

  After a search through the info on PSE13 I find anywhere that tells me if ACR supports my new camera, Canon 7 d Mk 11.  I have 11 PES with ACR 7.4 and my camera is not listed.  I don't think I can avoid the expense of an upgrade.

  PSE 13 is supplied with the camera raw 8.6.

  On every 3 to 4 months put adobe to update camera raw for support of new cameras and fix bugs.

  So if you go to help > updates in the editor of pse after installing PES 13 13, which should help you update to camera raw 9.0 and you should then be able to open your Canon 7 d MarkII files in EPS 13.

• Display full screen in PSE 12?

  When I'm editing a photo in PES 12, I would like to be able to extend the photo, I'm working on periodically during that I work on it, as I can see, full-screen, what will be the actual results of my manipulations in the image. I can't find a way to get [easy] Photoshop elements 12 to access a view full screen (and then to go immediately into the operation, setting image view (s) to continue with the various treatments).  A way to do this right within the PES 12, without a PSE to look at the emerging picture in another program?

  What operating system do you use?

  On a windows system, you can go to Edit > Preferences > General and check allow the Documents floating in Expert Mode.

  Then, you can click expand in the upper right of the document window to enlarge full screen or almost, depending on whether you auto hide the taskbar or not.

  Anyway, it's full-screen, as the editor 12 pse can do on a windows system.
