Problem installing Elements 8, Error 1402

Hello

First time user here. I just bought Elements 8 and during the installation, I get an error 1402. HKEY_LOCAL_Machine\Software\Classes\.jp2\OpenWidthList. Have instructions on solving this or can point me in the right direction. I hesitate to start searching the registry I don't have to.

Thanks in advance.

Can you please go through a similar note tech which is released for CS products and follow the steps mentioned in it, and then try again to install PES?

  • Problem installing SP2 - 0xc0190036 error code

    I know this question has been posted before, but not for a while, hoping so it could be a new reflexion autour?

    I DO NOT have a Vista dvd/cd so please do not suggest I reinstall.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook 32-bit

    AMD Athlon X 2 Dual-Core QL-65 2.10 GHz

    2.00 GB OF RAM

    I have 1 installed SP.

    When I try to install SP2, it hangs at a black screen error code! 0xc0190036! 2319/67734 (sceregvl/inf)

    I have to shut down and restart using the repair of the system.

    Advice on Tech forums, I ran chkdsk, tried new and no change.  I did a system scan and it found corrupt files but was unable to fix.  I denied access when I tried to see the log files. (although as an administrator)

    I suspect that damaged files can cause another error I have:

    Windows Media Center Store Update Manager kept coming with an error message saying that it had stopped working. (don't want it to run in any case, never use, so have turned off)

    My computer still works ok without the installation of SP2, with one MAJOR exception: I record now is no longer Word documents (no responses to 'save' or ' save under ' orders - no drop-down list, nothing.) I need to fix this!

    I just give up and hand the thing to someone to reinstall Vista? Can I go directly to Windows 7 instead?

    Thanks for any help

    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • Problem installing KB9572762, A97 error code
    I'll put up the new Dell Windows 7, 64-bit machines and that you have installed Access Runtime 2007 which keeps crashing. Windows tells me that the solution is this update but will not install the update. The information that I gathered from a previous post, it's that this update fails with error code because it does not have access. Is there a way to force this update to resolve the issue without having to install a complete copy of the access? If this is not my work around is to install Access 2003 Runtime as well as 3 service packs and a fix--not my favorite option.
    Appreciate any help,
  • Problem installing windows 7 (error ACPI COMPLIANT)
    Hi guys. Recently bought a Dell Inspiron N5110. It was windows 7 32 bit installed and I wanted to move to windows 7 64 bit, so I installed it and at first start after installation is complete, she flashed a BSOD and restarted, this time, he gave me an option to enter the recovery mode (or something of the sort), and when I chose that Yet once gave me a BSOD with the error that my BIOS is not fully ACPI-compatible. Then I tried to install 7 32 bit instead, but that no longer works. So I installed xp, it has installed quite easily, but I can't find its drivers.
    Here are the solutions I tried
    Updated to the latest version of the BIOS
    Tried changing some option in the BIOS from AHCI to ATA
    Read in a forum that removing the battery and draining through power (he didn't)
    Someone said: they released their stick of Ram of 1 GB and it worked (it didn't)
    Someone said windows installation USB might HELp (it didn't)
    So yes, I'm completely exhausted have tried for two days, but can't do anything.
    However, I have read somewhere by trying a different CD for WIndows 7, it worked, who have not yet tried. That I should? Any chance of this working?
    Or should I try Windows 8 instead?
    Guys, any input would be appreciated.
  • BlackBerry smartphone Error 1402 install Blackberry Desktop Software on Windows7
    When I try to install the software of blackberry 6.0.2 on my windows computer desktop 7, I get the following error:
    Error 1402.Could not open key:
    UKNOWN\Components\ a bunch of numbers and letters\ a heap of number and letters
    Check that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support team.
    I tried to find the key in regedit to modify permissions, and I couldn't find it.
    The first time I tried to install it I don't think I right click and run as administrator. I've tried since then, but I don't know if this old key is always what stop.
    I don't really know what to do next.
    Thanks for the help,
    Dan
    You can solve this problem by running regedit and navigating to ""HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-1-5-18\Components " "
    1. Then search for the first registry key in your error. It would be the first string of numbers before a slash (/) forward.
    2. Then right-click on the key and select permissions.
    3. In the dialog box that opens, make sure that 'full control' and 'read' are selected for your 'User' and 'Administrators' accounts and apply the changes (if 'Administrators' and 'SYSTEM' are not in the list, you must 'Add').
    4. Click Advanced and check the check mark named 'replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable this object', then press 'Apply'. You can get an error, that's ok.
    5. Click on the owner tab and select "Administrators" in the list box, check the check mark, called 'replace the owner of subcontainers and objects', then press 'Apply '.
    6. You will need to repeat once more bullets 4 and 5, and you shouldn't get an error the second time.
    Now, you need to repeat the process for the second series of numbers which will be located inside the first key when you turn open it is arrow.
    I hope this helps. I got the error on 2 different keysets popup. The third time that I have installed the software, I had no errors.
    Good luck
