Problem installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2005
I am trying to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x 64) and the installation fails with an error that reads:
Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly ' Microsoft. VC80. ATL, type = "win32", version = "8.0.50727.762", publicKeyToken = "1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture = "amd64" If you please refer to help and Support for more information.
I have not tried to reinstall all other versions of the redistributable packages (2008 and 2010, the x 64 and x 86 versions of each), because I don't want to have to face the same error when I try to reinstall to see if I can reproduce the error. How to install?
Edit: I also get this error when I try to install SP1 for Microsoft Flight simulator X, because installation requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 to work.
Well, it turns out that my computer was apparently missing in some updates, notably those concerning the .net Framework package. Install said updates seems to have solved the problem.

Visual C++ 2010 Express on Windows 7 64-bit slows everything
Hello
After suffering for a week, I can find no clear response from everyone and decided to seek the help of this community. I am trying to do the work of development using Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express. I recorded my Visual C++ so that it works without obvious interruption. When I am trying to build my code in Visual C++ Express, it slows down the normal behavior of my machine. For example, a browser window or a file browser explore (My Computer) takes about 20 seconds to appear after clicking. The volume control bar takes forever to pop up. I followed the process on the Task Manager window, but nothing is abnormal, and memory consumption is well below the red line. More important still, this happens whenever I try to work in C++. Do not do Java (Java obviously has its own virtual machine so everything goes not on a virtual computer died there too; does not affect the machine). The only problem I managed to isolate is probably the 64-bit windows.I've been Googling for an acceptable answer but can't find anything. People are formulating opinions ranging from the instruction sets at low altitude on the PC with the ambiguity of high-level code. I don't know what on Earth is wrong. I have core i5, Memory Cache L3, 8 GB of RAM and 500 GB HARD drive. This cannot be a problem of the standard of PC...Hi MannaAnam,

Original title: streets & trips with GPS Locator 2011 install problem
I try to install Microsoft streets & trips with GPS DVD positioner 2011 and it fails at the beginning of the installation. My environment is a workbook of Elite HP 8560w running teacher of Win 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 Professional (8 GB memory, 500 GB disk space).
I want to emphasize that I will not be plugging the GPS stick on a USB port until the installation process or the installed software requires it. The installation begins with the display:
"Microsoft streets & trips 2011 requires the installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable. To install the component now, click OK. If you want to stop the installation and exit the Setup program, click Cancel. »
I clicked on OK to proceed with the installation. Another message was displayed:
"Please wait while the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable is installed."
After a fairly short period of time, a final message was posted:
"One of the prerequisite components failed to install. The installation program will now exist. »
I check that my list of installed programs in programs and features, and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 is already installed, listed as:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x 64 Redistributable - Version 10.0.40219
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x 86 Redistributable - Version 10.0.40219I tried to start the installation several times but still, he fails and ends at the same point.
What must I do to properly install Microsoft streets & trips with GPS Locator 2011?
William Allen
I thank all participants for their contributions on my problem captioned.
As I mentioned in one of my previous answers for myself, for me, this issue is now closed. Microsoft support has accepted my MS Streets & Trips w / GPS for a full refund. At least, support staff, that I spoke acknowledged that ST2011 was known to be incompatible with W7P SP1 and they offered a full refund.
A number of responses I received offered possible solutions that I had tried and has said on this subject in previous updates (for example, to run the installation of the data .msi on the installation CD). Then I still had possession of the ST2011 software, I don't was not informed of Microsoft resetting tool mentioned by Mike L. Robbins, so I can't say if that than me by my installation problems. Be it, everything is sent to Microsoft.
I can only hope that if Microsoft releases streets & trips 2012 which does not inherit problems, I lived. In my view, this thread can be closed now. Thanks to you all.
Certainly continue to reply to this topic, if others could benefit from your proposed solutions to ST2011 installed.

I use the HP Pavilion G6 1117tx with
AMD Radeon HD 6470 M driver version 8.882.2.0 i.e. graphics card and
Intel Graphics HD 3000 driver version 8.822.2.0, it came as a complete with
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 version 10.0.30319 on the site of sellers.
And after I installed upgrading security for Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (KB2467173) it would cause a problem with the launch of the
Catalyst Control Center version 2011.0817.2216.38121 the catalyst control center would launch and accident immediately but she always see the process running in the Task Manager.
I removed all the drivers and the software associated with the control center catalyst with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 and reinstalled all the package and tried the update, but still the same problem that led me to the conclusion the problem was with the update.
Assistance would be appreciated. Thank you
