Problem installing oracle 11 g 2 in a virtual machine with IP dynamic
Hello
I have install oracle 11 g 2 on a virtual machine in Vmware workstation with dynamic IP address.
Then I noticed that the global database name is orcl.16.27.57, and the identifier service oracle is orcl on step 10 of window 19
There will be a configuration manager warning and the company failed due to the following error:
Listening is not or the database service is not registered with it.
And even I change the name of global database for orcl, it has also failed.
When I use the static IP, the name of the database world so SID is orcl.
then complete the installation.
So I don't know what the reason is, how to install it without warning during the dynamic use of IP.
Whenever I have install oracle with static IP, I can't continue like that again.
Help!
Thank you
Now, I'm happy to say it works. Two methods to solve this problem.
1. install Microsoft Loopback adapt
2 edit the file hosts, IP hostname
Of course, we can run them both.
Thank you

Problem installing Oracle 11g reports
I am trying to install reports Oracle 11 g, but when I try to run a report with graphs the following message appears:
REP-108 - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
javax/servlet/GSI/tagext/TagLibraryInfo
The report works fine in Oracle 10 g and 9g reports
I use:
Windows 7 64
JDK7 64
WebLogic 10.3.6
Oracle Forms and reports 11.1.2.0
Anyone know what what could be?Hello Fernando,
Could you open rwrun.jar in Jdeveloper and check the classpath in the manifest.
I remembered that I had a problem on this(11.1.1.3 version) when rwrun.jar called a jar file javax.jsp_1.1.0.0_2 - 1.jar which does not exist in the installation (there was a newer version as javax.jsp_1.2.0.0_2 - 1.jar in the installation).Would not normally happen at 11 GR 2, but give it a try.
Kind regards

Hello
As requested, I open a new thread for this problem, with additional details...
I try to install 10g on my laptop (Windows XP SP3) and when the installer of the universe embarks on the DOS window, it is said that no preconditions will be checked because an ini file is missing and then I get the infamous Microsoft Error window "send error report / do not send error report" and I can do no other. I tried version 11 earlier and it worked fine. But I need the 10g version so that Toad to work.
Additional information:
In the DOS window, it says:
From Oracle Universal Installer...
No verification requirements found in oraparam.ini, no prerequisite system controls will be carried out.
Preparations for the launch of Oracle Universal Installer from C:\DOCUME~1\ROBERT~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\OraInstall2008-12-16-07-40-47AM. Please wait...
Then, I get the error of Microsoft window:
Oui.exe
Oui.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Please tell this problem to Microsoft. so forth and so
Debug... Send error report... Do not send
Also, I rebooted in safe mode and logged as administrator and have the same problem.
Help, please!
Thank you
BobBob,
Keep us informed, once your DBA tells userid and password, you should be albe to connect. Using sqlplus or sql developer? You can use everything, but in order to confirm this order do
sqlplus username/password@youservicename
or
sqlplus username/passwordConcerning

Problem installing Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1
Hello
I try to install the Oracle process server on linux and I installed it on before similar boxes without any problems, however this time after I finished the installation, it does not show me the console business. It gives a message of successful installation but with the following message.
Control for the application server console does not run in this instance of Oracle application server. You can manage that instance remotely by another instance of Oracle Application Server is configured to run the Application Server Control Console.
What should I do to get the administration console. I also looked around and saw but cylindre emctl isn't there in the ORACLE_HOME/bin
Published by: user9938780 on December 11, 2008 11:34the 10.1.3.1 version does not use emctl
If you do a status - app opmnctl you can see your applications, one of them is ascontrol
You can reach the emconsole by http://hostname:7777 / em
to start you can issue opmnctl startproc application = ascontrol

Try this. Using SQLPlus, bump the 'process' parameter (with apologies to Heidi to cut out of the book):

SQL > show parameter processes
SQL > alter system reset sessions scope = spfile sid ='* ';
SQL > change processes control system = 300 scope = spfile;

Problem to install Oracle 11 g - impossible to establish a remote connection
In short:
I just installed Oracle 11 g and created a data base and the headset, but I'm unable to connect remotely with a customer database.
My environment:
Oracle 11g is installed on a VirtualBox (4.3.18) Red Hat Linux 6.5 VM. The host operating system is Mac OS X Yosemite. Linux VM is assigned a static ip address and the host and vm have host entries to resolve this name server:
192.168.58.152 rhel65opdev-vm
I am able to ping rhel65opdev-vm from these two places.
Host: 64 bytes from 192.168.58.152: icmp_seq = 0 ttl = 64 time = 0,287 ms
VM: 64 bytes of rhel65opdev-vm (192.168.58.152): icmp_seq = 1 ttl = 64 time = 0.027 ms
I am also able to ssh into the Linux vm without problem. If I try to telnet to the virtual machine on the port of configured database:
= > telnet rhel65opdev-vm 1521
192.168.58.152 by train...
Telnet: connect to address 192.168.58.152: connection refusedTelnet: unable to connect to the remote host
Login as a user other my oracle on the same VM user, can I tnsping data base successfully:

Try to contact (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = rhel65opdev-vm)(PORT = 1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = OP)))
OK (10 ms)
The same user non-oracle, I am able to do appear SQLDeveloper and establish a connection with the database and check its schema. But on the Mac, I am unable to use (the Mac version of) SQLDeveloper to do the same. I get an error: IO error: the network adapter could not establish the connection. Code 17002 provider.
I have another Red Hat 6.5 virtual VM from where I'm modeling this new machine, which has the same version of Oracle on it, installed and working (which I myself installed without problem, but a long time ago). I am able to connect remotely to this base since my Mac using Toad and SQLDeveloper without problem and I can telnet to port of database and there is no problem.
I point out that I recently removed from the database and reinstalled. I have created only one service: OP, but the OPXDB see below seems to be a previous installation, which can contribute to my question - not sure.
Here are a few releases of various orders, I tried following suggestions I've seen on different threads, I found through research:

[ERROR]: Setup has encountered an internal error. Contact Oracle support with details
[EXCEPTION]:java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
I think that the error would cause the JDK version with which try to initialize.
Anyone has an idea on the possible error? Thanks in advance.Hi, I advise you to try to use the generic Setup program to: % SOA_INSTALLER_DIR%/Disk1/runInstaller. Because if you use the runInstaller in the %SOA_INSTALLER_DIR%/Disk1/install/solaris it will lead to this problem in some cases.

problems when installing ORACLE 10 g R2 RAC on RHEL 5.3
I want to install oracle 10g R2 RAC on RHEL 5.3 in a test environment. My goal was to install using ASM.
I went through ok prerequisites before starting the installation.
Since RHEL 5.3 does not support raw devices, I used

It seems that you should do the following:Verify the existence of udev mapping rule file /etc/udev/rules.d/60-raw.rules brute
On HR/EL5, gross udev mapping rule file /etc/udev/rules.d/60-raw.rules must exist by default as part of the util-linux package, for example:# ls /etc/udev/rules.d/60-raw.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/60-raw.rules
Create a custom gross udev mapping rules file, /etc/udev/rules.d/61-oracleraw.rules say, for example:
# touch /etc/udev/rules.d/61-oracleraw.rules
3B. Add raw udev binding rules to the /etc/udev/rules.d/61-oracleraw.rules file
Add the binding rules gross udev in the etc/udev/rules.d/61-oracleraw.rules file, for example:# cat /etc/udev/rules.d/61-oracleraw.rules # Raw bind to Oracle Clusterware devices ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd*", PROGRAM=="/sbin/scsi_id", RESULT=="360a98000686f6959684a453333524174", RUN+="/bin/raw /dev/raw/raw1 %N" ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd*", PROGRAM=="/sbin/scsi_id", RESULT=="360a98000686f6959684a453333524179", RUN+="/bin/raw /dev/raw/raw2 %N"
If switch to RHEL5/OEL5 since an earlier version of Linux that has pressed persistent raw device bindings in the/etc/sysconfig/rawdevices file, the following script can serve as a basis to generate your RHEL5/OEL5 of the udev rules. Note that the script does not factor device name persistence.
#!/bin/bash grep -v "^ *#" /etc/sysconfig/rawdevices | grep -v "^$" | while read dev major minor ; do if [ -z "$minor" ]; then echo "ACTION==\"add\", KERNEL==\"${major##/dev/}\", RUN+=\"/bin/raw $dev %N\"" else echo "ACTION==\"add\", ENV{MAJOR}==\"$major\", ENV{MINOR}==\"$minor\", RUN+=\"/bin/raw $dev %M %m\"" fi done
