Problem installing Windows 7: drivers needed
I try to perform a clean installation of Windows 7 on a 250 GB hard drive which is perfectly clean. Windows asks a driver for my ASUS DRW-2014L1T optical drive before it can proceed with the installation. The ASUS site offers only a few firmware for this model, and none of them are same for Windows 7 (vista is the more recent they are). In addition, the firmware are in .exe format which makes me think they are intended to be installed on a machine with Windows already installed. So, do you know of any ways to get around this problem? Is there generic drivers that I could install?
Thanks for any help,
Nate
Hey Nate,
· How many drivers DVD the computer have?
· Is ASUS DRW-2014L1T internal or external drive?
If the computer has an another DVD player, I suggest to use the DVD player and try to install Windows 7.
For reference:
DRW-2014L1T has no drivers for Windows 7

I too have a problem installing windows error1601. I went through the steps to get services and found that this installer of windows is gone. How can I get that back?
Try to run the Windows Installer Cleanup http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.shtml utility to see if that solves the problems with windows install.
I hope this helps.

Problem installing Windows XP Mode in 7 Winjdows
I have a problem installing Windows XP Mode in Windows 7 Pro 64 running on a Dell Latitude E6510 laptop with an i5 processor and 8 GB of ram. This machine supports hardware virtualization, and it is enabled in the BIOS.
Before downloading software in XP Mode, the MS download required Windows validation Web site. Downloaded and reported validation validation and a successful installation. Then I downloaded Windows XP Mode (WindowsXPMode_en - us.exe, 481 052 KB) installation package and the package of Windows Virtual PC (Windows6 1 - KB958559 - x 64 - RefreshPkg.msu, 16 692-Ko). Then, I installed Windows XP Mode; the installation ran without any problems apparent and reported success.According to the docs of download site, the next step is to: "... click on the Windows 7 start button , and then select all programs > Windows Virtual PC > Windows XP Mode to begin the installation."My problem is Windows Virtual PC does not appear anywhere in the selection of all programs list - believe me, I looked. There is, however, a new directory calledc:\ProgramFiles\Windows XP Mode\but it contains no exe file. It contains a file of 1.2 GB called Windows XP Mode base.vhd - but it is not clear what to do with it. There is also a tutorial subdirectory.I tried to reinstall Windows XP Mode (without uninstalling first) but I just get a warning message that the program is already installed. Windows XP Mode appears on the list "Uninstall or change a program" in the module programs and features in Control Panel.I tried running (Windows6. 1-KB958559-x64-RefreshPkg.msu(Windows6.1-KB958559-x64-RefreshPkg.msu, goal that throws error 0x8007000d, "The data is invalid."If at this point, my question is simple, "what to try next? Thanks in advance. The right way to install Windows XP Mode, you must first install Windows Virtual PC, and then install Windows XP Mode.
You must install both files:
1 Windows6. 1 - KB958559 - x 64 or x 86 architecture that you run
Restart the system, and then install:
2 WindowsXPMode_en-we
------------
Uninstall Windows XP Mode:
Click Start, type: programs and features
Press enter on your keyboard
Scroll down
Select Windows XP Mode
Click Change/uninstall in the command bar
Uninstall Windows XP Mode
-----------------
Restart your computer
Proceed with the installation of Windows XP Mode in the right order.
--------------
If it does not always show upward:
Click Start, type: enable or disable windows features
Scroll down
Make sure that Windows Virtual PC is checked
Click OK
Reboot if prompted

Satellite A200-1YO - problems installing Windows XP Home edition
Hi guys,.
First of all I'm new here so Hello to everyone here and I hope you can help me with my problems of software.
I recently bought a laptop model Toshiba Satellite A200-1YO provided with windows vista (which must be frank, pants and IMO too demanding for the machine) and I have a problem with vista, because some of its features do not seem to work, for example, I'm having a lot of trouble getting some of the webpages to open now, they simply hang out.
now, I didn't install windows xp but I don't have an external floppy drive. This is not a problem but because I can use Nlite to integrate the drivers in a new ISO of Windows XP.
The problem is that I have 4 sets of drivers: ICH7M_32bit, ICH7M_64bit, ICH8M_32bit and ICH8M_64bit. As I install Windows XP 32-bit while I'm more or less some that I have not need 64-bit drivers but when I install Windows XP by using the modified version of windows xp slipstreamed, what I get at startup is a BSD error telling me that something has crashed on my hard drive , however I can't say which crashed as the screen disappears after 15 seconds if that so I guess there is something wrong with the drivers I use (though I must admit that I'm not sure the drivers 32-bit to use)
advice and assistance regarding being able to install windows xp would be welcome, as I said above, however, I can only use Nlite since I do not have a usb floppy drive.
Satellite A200-1YO has a chip with the ICH8M southbridge Intel GM965.
So you need the driver for SATA ICH8M_32bit.

my name is HP Pavilion g6-2285sx Notebook PC
also please I need drivers for linux and windows xp
Thank you
Hello:
The only other than W8/8.1 x 64 operating system that runs on your laptop is W7 x 64.
You can use all the W7 x 64 drivers and this model on your software.
Your model uses the AMD graphics driver. To install the AMD and Intel GPU.
DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR THE FIRMWARE OF THIS MODEL FILES
If your laptop comes with the Ralink WiFi card, you need this driver bluetooth of Ralink and software, not one of the above model.

I'm unable to install the Windows 7 SP1 on my laptop. I am running Win 7 64 bit and tried to install the 64-bit SP1 via the feature updates automatic first, then with the SP1 download manually (Windows6. 1 - KB976932 - X 64 .exe). The progresses to install SP1 to the point where it shuts down the system and it is charging but when I log in I get the dialog Setup SP1 reporting "the Installation was not successful". By clicking on the link error display shows DS_S_SUCCESS (0x0).
(I followed the steps of troubleshooting 1) by using the Troubleshoot Utility "Difficulty of problems with Windows Update" and 2) installed tool Rediness of updating system, but the installation of SP1 still fails with the same error.
I have successfully applied the SP1 on a different system. No idea why I have problems with my laptop.
Any ideas?
C thx.
Have you checked your hard drive to find errors? Another obscure, you might try is to disable User Account Control temporarily.
Its possible, you need to perform an update of the BIOS if one is available for your ThinkPad T60p. Also, check the updated chipset drivers.
Furthermore, disconnect any non-essential device, you may have attached to the system.
Its possible the SP1 download may be corrupted, I would like to download another copy and try again.

Problems installing windows 7 32 or 64 XP 32
Hello
I decided it was time to upgrade to windows 7 xp 32. I'm on an IBM Thinkcentre. I did a lot of research but cannot circumvent this problem. When I insert the cd when the computer runs I get an error message saying that:"This installation disc is not compatible with your version of windows. To upgrade, you need the correct installation disc. For more information, see your computer system information. To install a new copy of Windows, restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc, and then select custom (advanced option). »
I know that it is common, so when I restart the computer and start the disc I meet another problem. It starts to boot from the disk and say for windows to load as soon as the loading reaches the end of the bar of the computer just stops and I can't do anything. When you start the computer again then turns off after a few seconds.Advice please? Thank you in advance!Hello

Satellite U400 - 12 p PSU40E - cannot install Windows XP drivers
Hello!
I U400 - 12 p, PSU40E, chipset: T5750
I couldn't find the XP drivers.I found some drivers on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp:
Product type: notebook
Family: Satellite
Product series: Satellite series U
Model: Satellite U 400
Short model No.: PSU40E
Operating system: Windows XP
...But these drivers are not for the chipset T5750!
I have sound installation errors, display, and almost all of the other drivers.
Where can I find the drivers for my laptop (for chipset: T5750)?Help, please!
Are you kidding me?
I have a U400-10N and it belongs to the series of PSU40E too.
I installed all XP drivers with no problems! And your chipset it NOT T5750!
You chipset is * chipset Intel GM965 * and the * CPU * is * T5750! * Big difference ;)So I recommend the update of Windows XP to the last State. Update and install all MS patches and hotfixes and then try to install drivers XP of the page.
Sorry, but it s 100% not a driver issue!

Satellite A200-23W: problem installing Windows Vista
Hello..
I now that this topic is discussed several times before, but after trying many solutions of the forum and some of my only, I reached a level that it makes no sense...
First off I would like to explain what I do for a living, it has to do with IT and that is what makes it even more tempting for me.
2 days ago a friend bought a Toshiba A200-23W. The first thing I always do when I buy a new laptop is to format it and install a clean Windows operating system.
After my first attempt, I realized that I have to install first the matrix storage driver.I downloaded the driver from toshiba place related to my model. (Intel Matrix Storage Manager - 7.5.0.1017).
I created a usb key with the required driver files:iaAhci.inf,
iaAhci.cat,
iaStor.inf, iaStor.cat,
iaStor.sys, and
TxtSetup.oemin the folder (F6flpy) of the (Intel Matrix Storage Manager) you can copy them to the root of the USB stick.
When the form "Where you want to install windows" windows Vista appear I select load the driver, and then by clicking (Browse), I select the USB drive as source for my drivers.
The (Intel(r) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller) will automatically appear as a choice and by clicking on the (Next) the process of the pilot installation begins.
So far so good..Here's where things get complicated...
When Vista back to the form "Where you want to install windows", even my system has 2 x 200 GG HDD only 200 GB HARD drive appears in the list...Selections of 'New' Partition, or a Partition of 'Delete' are disabled.
and even when I click 'Next' for selected HD a windows message:"Windows has no determine if this computer contains a valid system volume."
I'd appreciate your help...
Thank you in advance...
George P.Hello
You cannot format the HARD disk or delete the partition because this would remove the SATA driver too, and the HARD drive would not be recognized by Vista!
Therefore, you need to install the OS on the HARD drive that is displayed in the installation program.
