Problem Network Printer B209a-M

I had to get a new wireless modem because my old one stopped working.  I don't know how to upgrade the printer with the new wireless information.  None of these options on the printer does nothing when I press them (network options). I have a printer B209-a.

Photosmart plus B209, must use the printer software to connect the printer to a new network.  Prior to using the information in the document following the link I would erase the current information for the network printer.

* Menu of the printer Configuration > network Menu > restore default network values

To connect to this printer to new access point must be a USB cable. *******

(1) download the drivers for this printer by clicking here.

(2) run the downloaded file to start the installation of the software, if not yet downloaded.

(3) If you do not have the software installed, then the package will immediately lead to a connected printer

(4) select that you want to connect wireless and software will ask for a USB cable to be plugged

(5) once the printing software linked to the printer via the USB cable, then the software will offer the ability to automatically send the information stored in the computer wireless or to enter the information manually.

For more information about this installation method, click here.  I hope this helps.

Printer HP Officejet 7300 network series that allows to work flawlessly with El Capitan does not work after the upgrade to Sierra.

With macOS Sierra, when used as a network print service printer works fine however scan does not work. Programs like the Image Capture, HP Easy Scan etc does not see the printer. However, if the printer is directly connected to the Macbook Pro using the usb cable, a new printer is added to the list of printers (it shows print and scan functions while the printer network in the list shows only printing function) and the scanner works well with Image Capture, etc. If the usb cable is removed disconnects this printer in the list and there is no way to turn it on. I have the latest update for the printer installed from the App store. It looks like a driver issue, but I wonder if there is a work around for this problem...

  • C6180A: Network printing problem series C6100

    Hello

I pray that someone here can help with my network C6180A impression of questions, as I am at a loss to know what to do. I'm technical enough for a layman (not irritable) so able to fix my printer problems, I had to do several times in recent months. However, I am now in a complete deadlock as to what to do next.

Implemented - laptop HP Pavilion (less than 1 year running Windows 8.1 64bits) connected by wired home network using Netgear HomePlugs, on which my C6180A All in One Photosmart printer is also connected by a Homeplug Netgear network around my house for others to use. The network software Netgear genius picks up the printer and it shows on the fine network. I can also access the IP address of the printer through my thin Firefox browser.

Printer C6180A is (I think) about 8 years ago and has been well used with over 44 K printed pages! It worked well overall until recently. Minor problems have been solved in the past, which I was able to do very well.

Until recently, the printer worked very well, so a few weeks ago (nothing has changed on it, or my laptop), it just started to stop printing and also started to enter spurious characters (always number 7) on the LED panel without doing me anything, as if someone was going to put in a fax number. It would show a string of 7 like this: '7777777777777777777' as a fax number alone.  Yet I did not or use the fax on it more. It's where I wondered about capacitors, as I mention below...

    However...

It will not print many pages at once of all today - even if I get it print OK. It does not go offline (it used to do this), just print job gets stuck in the queue and must be deleted using HP Print & Scan doctor. Nothing else removes the queue now. And no other problems are reported with this utility. If they are, then I have Setup or the utility corrects.

I did the following to get it fixed so far (with little success ongong):

-updated and install printer via the HP website drivers (most recent is dated December 6, 2015)

-uninstalled and reinstalled the driver software several times = sometimes a test page impressions, not always

-restart the laptop and printer each time I do this to clear no matter what cache

-Remove and add the device in Control Panel = got a few pages printed today this and nothing else then prints

-check the IP address of the printer to make sure that his recognized on the network = all fine here (IP address added manually in the settings of the network on the printer a few months ago), although I can't make it here anymore as the "ok button" on the printer does not work now (minor in question not related to this in my opinion)

-did a hard reset of the printer using the # and 6 to do this = it worked for a few pages then orders

-printer is always / recognized by any software, driver or utility HP PSD when turned on to be detected to install

-printer works fine when connected directly via a USB cable, but which is not what I want to do on a daily basis

-have contacted Netgear in the recent past to make sure that my HomePlugs on my network worked very well, they were. If not, then the printer would not be detected by any software installation or fixing with HP PSD

My last resort will be to check if the capacitors are down, I saw in other forums that this is a common problem after a while on these printers. Before making this "repair" I bought the capacitors, I wanted to check if there is anything else I missed that I can do to finally once and for all this problem of printing.

Help on this would be so MUCH appreciated by any expert here, because I lost so much time, days in fact, try to resolve this issue as you can only imagine. I have to be able to print for my business. It is not an option to replace the printer currently.

It worked fine until the last 3-4 weeks or more... Where my question detailed with what I did to fix it until now.

    Thanks in advance. ANIA

    Hello @AZS1,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you have a problem with your C6180A. I would like to help.

To be honest, you did some troubleshooting. To say that you are quite technical for a layman seems to be an understatement.

I provided you with a link to solve network problems. If the problem persists then you might as well go ahead with the repair. The only other option would be to have fix the printer.

  • Network printer spooling Service problems

I have a wireless home network.  One of our laptops cannot add wireless printer.  I get the error "the local print spooler service is not running"... and "Spooler Subsystem App. Stopped working. "I check the named service and he said: it is running.  Other computers have no problem to access the network printer.  Any thoughts?

    Hi rghill,

    Here's how to fix this:

    1. go in programs and features in Control Panel > on features Windows turn on or off

    2. click on + sign of printing services

    3. Select LPD and LPR. You must remove the Internet printing Client. > restart your PC to ensure there is no error in the spooler service.

  • Problem installing HP Pro L7590 JO as a network printer on Windows 7 64-bit DT new

I replaced a Vista desktop with a new Windows 7 Pro 64-bit office.  HP OJ Pro L7590 was installed as a network printer on the previous computer.  The new Win 7 DT is in place and works very well (has internet access).  I downloaded the complete function for Win7 64 bit driver but am unable to complete the installation.

When I run the Setup.exe application it shows in the task manage but no installation windows don't open.  I tried as admin, no luck.  I run the script to uninstall HP and rebooted.  I disabled the time real AV or firewall (McAfee) and tried to run setup.exe as administrator.  Same behavior.  Setup.exe shows 20K memory usage, but no installation window opens.

I have not yet tried change the startup settings (selective startup, disabling all services other than Windows).  This will be my next step.

Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Jim

Solved the problem by running msconfig.exe and disable all McAfee services.  Printer installed without problem.  Printer installed just to disable the AV and firewall in real-time.  Actually had to stop all McAfee services.

  • Cannot install network printer on Windows 7. Detects the printer then it says cannot locate the driver. All my vista and XP machines have no problem finding drivers. It is a 32-bit 64-bit vs questions? How can I fix it?

Cannot install network printer on Windows 7.  Detects the printer then it says cannot locate the driver.  All my vista and XP machines have no problem finding drivers. It is a 32-bit 64-bit vs questions?  How can I fix it?
Windows Server 2008 network.  Printers have ip addresses. Install the drivers from the Print Manager.  /Terminal Server Workgroup installation.

It's the same situation with XP.  The print driver names must match.  If you notice the name of the printer driver that uses XP is a name different from the one that is installed when you plug in the device on the Windows 7 computer.  This is just my assumption, please correct me if this isn't the case.

The real solution is to install a 32-bit driver on the XP machine that uses the same name that the 64-bit driver and share a printer using this driver or find a 64-bit driver that uses the same name as the 32-bit driver installed on XP and install the driver on XP.

I try to print to a network printer connected to a vista from a computer xp machine

    Two computers on a network
Vista machine is connected through the ethernet card and has a connected printer
XP machine is via wireless network

Both machines have the same network name "mshome".
Open ports on the firewall and also left Software Firewall

When I print a job, I see it be wound on the info from the printer on both machines, but then, it is automatically deleted.

I am able to access the hard disks from two computers

The printer works this way, when you share a printer between XP and Vista where the printer is connected to Vista, XP will communicate with the printer and its drivers Vista.

So as I suspected it was due from pilots, in your case XP will be offered 64 bit readers which it does not recognize

If we rely on the printer connected to the Vista 64-bit operating system operating system 32-bit, we need to install the additional drivers (especially the XP must be with 32 bits, only 32 bits of the operating system will not show if it's 32-bit or 64-bit)

So in this case, you must right click on the printer on Vista and go to the sharing tab, and then click additional drivers, it will be the operating system and Version to select and you will need to select Windows XP x 86 and install the drivers

Now your Vista will be the 32-bit and 64-bit drivers installed. Now, when you share the printer, when the Contacts XP Vista, Vista has drivers and it will be able to share the printer correctly. Anish

OK, you didn't say what software you use to print.  On your Mac Mini, I will assume that it is iPhoto.

Make sure that when you start to print, select the paper size AND photo size in the drop down menus.  If you select a photo 4 x 6 just, but do not specify the size of the paper, it will use the default value (8.5 x 11).

  • Problem connecting a network printer

I have a new Dell XPS 27 and I try to install my printer on a network of Samsung. The printer is connected to a Netgear NAS via USB. The NAS is attached to my router wireless via the Ethernet cable. I downloaded the Samsung Windows 8 universal printer driver from the installation diskettes that I have for the Samsung printer are only good through Windows 7. The printer appears in the printer list, and I see it as attached to my NAS on the network. But he is still asleep when I try to print a test page. I don't think that it installed properly as a network printer, although I used the same steps (but with the Samsung installation diskettes) under Windows 7 on my old computer. Any suggestions?

I tried to download the driver and install it again as a network printer, but by using the server\\printer option to choose the printer and it seems to have worked. I can now print to the printer.

  • Problem adding network printer C6280

Hi, I have a desktop pc (XP pro), linked to a DSL / wireless router. I also have my laptop (XP pro) I use at work, which I use for most wireless home but who want to print on my network printer. So I installed the printer through my desktop pc, Copy to my router and everything works fine...

... However, I can't install it on my laptop. I tried to add through the 'Add printer' Wizard in XP - I added the name of the printer (HP439760) in the dialog box «Connect to this printer...» "initially, he asks me a username and password. Great, I thought - I have no idea what these details are as I have not put them to the printer. Each later after the first time that I have to say, the password prompt does not - only the error message saying the printer is not found. I have to sign out and then sign back in, in order to display the password box when I try and add the printer.

I would be grateful if someone can make sure I'm doing this right by asking some questions - looks like it's a simple task to add a printer on another computer!

    1. any ideas I can see why the password box when I try and add the printer? That the user name and password would be - as I have already mentioned, I have not set these for the printer and don't even know how. Could it be related to username / password for my desktop - the machine, I used to install the printer on the network in the first place, or the credentials of my laptop as I normally connect to a domain at work?

2 - is the right way to add the printer, or should I use the downloadable exe file from the support page of the printers? I prefer not to do this as there seems to be a lot of software that is also installed when you install the printer and I don't want to install it on my work laptop - I just want to be able to print at home!

    Thanks in advance.

Well, it seems like all I had to do was to use the database page to download - all fixed driver package.
