Problem on first use - elitebook 8560p

Hello

I just bought a new PC, a 8560p elitebook (without windows: it is a FreeDOS). After a few weeks of waiting, I finally got and I wanted to try it immediately. Unfortunately, since the first start-up, the computer starts up and asks me to choose a country and keyboard configuration, but just after, it displays an error message:

Thank you!

You will not have to put Windows or Linux on it anyway? I think that error just means that BACK is not going to be able to access the CD/DVD drive and the rest of the works BACK. Have you tried to enter a few commands to the C:\ > fast see what happens?

  • "Setup is preparing your computer for first use" loop problem

Hello, I was hoping you guys could help out me with a big problem, I ran across when trying to install Windows 7 on a desktop computer new, custom - build. I managed to successfully install my Windows 7 64-bit, it appeared, but when I try to run it, that I will meet a black screen that says "Setup is preparing your computer for first use" and it will stay there forever, I would say. I let it run all night and didn't go anywhere.

I tried to start in safe mode, and Windows was loading files sys32, he got to "Classpnp.sys" and it froze. After a few minutes, the screen is blacked out, and I got fired the familiar screen "Setup is preparing your computer for first use.

I bought the copy of Windows 7 nine FRY, there will be no problem with that. My HD is a (new) 240 GB PNY Optima SSD, my mobo is a (new) Z97X-SLI Gigabyte, and I have 16 GB of RAM. All these things have been recognized by my BIOS, it seems that everything is properly connected.

I tried to install Windows 7 on a second time and exactly the same thing happened. I also tried to repair the installation to start upward, but he finds no problems. Also a check of the memory and the disk has verified without any problem. The only things I plugged are my monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Does anyone know of a workaround for this screen loop "first use"? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • HP EliteBook 8560p: BIOS password problem

    Hello

I started to work as an administrator, but a worker in front of me made the passwords to get into BIOS on three notebooks of EliteBook 8560p. I can start Windows normally, but if something goes wrong, I will not be able to enter the BIOS and move the boot priority. I really need to remove the BIOS passwords on these books and any help will be appreciated.

Enterprise-class notebooks have rather stringent security.

  • HP EliteBook 8560p: can not turn on WiFi: the button is orange, and nothing happens when you press

    Hello

I have a problem with my wifi. The button always orange and nothing happens when I press on it: no errors, no message, no reaction at all. This is why I can't use WiFi.

The laptop is a little new: I use only 2 months.

    1. number and product name

    HP EliteBook 8560p

2 operating system installed (if applicable)

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    3. error message (if any)

    No error message

    4. all changes made to your system until the problem occurred

My windows crashed and I got it from archive created a few days ago. Archive includes all data from hard drives, the system has been restored exactly as it was before the accident. I still don't know if this caused the problem (or if the problem occurred after that): it happened a month ago, and I had no WiFi available at the time and only tried to turn it on a few days ago.

    Additional details:

In device manager wireless card is appearing as functioning normally. In the management of the adapter Wi - Fi is on but says "no connection available. If I run diagnostic tests, he asks me to activate WIFI with a button on my laptop, which I can't do. In Mobility Center, it says "connection Wi - Fi is turned off". Activate the button is gray and impossible to click on.

    I already tried things:

    1. Reinstalled all the HP drivers from original CD.
    2. Card WiFi removed in the windows Device Manager (remove device), restarted windows, installed new drivers for it, rebooted again;
    3. Checked the mobility Center as suggested in one of the threads available on this forum;
    4. Do a hard reset for HP laptop (battery removed, push the button and hold for a minute).

    Thanks for any help!

    Anatoliy.

I managed to solve the problem...

Turns out that the problem was (apparently) caused by HP Power Assistant tool shipped with my laptop. Default profile has been showing the gray bluetooth and WiFi, and it was not possible to turn them on. I created a new profile, and even if all the parameters are identical to the default profile, it allows me to turn the BT and WiFi and turn off without any problems. Button is working fine now as well and goes from blue to orange when I press it. Active WiFi and it works.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Power Assistant causing audio/video Stutter - laptop Elitebook 8560p, Windows 7 x 64

    Hello

I recently noticed periodic audio and video on my new laptop I wanted me to rid of stuttering. I did not notice the stuttering when I bought the computer a few months ago, and if my memories are good it seemed initially after some recent automatic HP updated a few weeks ago.

The stuttering happens about every 30 seconds and occurs for any playback video or audio source (cd, youtube, itunes, etc.), with only about 5% CPU and about 30% of physical memory use average. I followed the stuttering to coincide with a small wave 3-4% CPU of a WmiPrvSE.exe process. This process runs and the rise of the CPU occurs regardless of program initiation or reading after start-up, I just noticed cause stuttering during playback audio and video. After further investigation, when I kill the HP Power Assistant, the CPU and stop stuttering video, although the same WmiPrvSE.exe process remains (since I assume it's used by a lot of things?). I stopped the HP Power Start Wizard at startup (using msconfig), which solved the problem without having to stop every time I turn on the computer myself.

Now, I'm content to let this be my system, but the HP Power Assistant is an interesting tool to track the energy consumption, performance, etc. and I think that it should not cause stuttering audio and video, especially with such a small CPU surge. Also has anyone seen this problem? Is this a problem with the HP Power Assistant or could there be something more vast I only put a patch on?

    Thanks for any input.

We have recently bought a few M9s Tecras and now have a problem trying to use Ghost solution suite 2.0.

It is necessary to install custom software every two weeks and have always used ghost solution suite 2.0 to recreate the image at a time, all our machines now the ghost starts and crashes before the session starts and then the fan goes mental...

There are other posts that mention the use of switches in the cmd prompt, it works but only 1 machine at a time, which is of no use to us.

How to use Ghost and image multiple machines at the same time?

    Arthur

    Hello

It seems that you have some problems with this software, it freezes and I doubt it could be a problem with the laptop
Why you n t come into contact with the solution of Ghost support Suite 2.0 in order to discover the question?
In my opinion, this should be the first step to get some details why this software freezes...

PS: since the Tecra M9 supports a SATA HDD controller you will need to include the SATA drivers to install and Windows operating system on this device, I guess that the package of the image that you created for several M9 contains the SATA driver files needed too. Check it!

    Hi, Ali:

HP only sells laptop recovery disks by calling.

    There is no download available.

If you live in the USA/Canada, call this number to order a game...  1-800-334-5144.

Have the serial number of the PC handy to give to the customer service rep.

If you do not live in the USA/Canada, I found this rather old Professional PC HP support phone number list by country.

I hope that the number for the country you live in is still valid.
