• GREP expression for the last line, followed by the column break

  For all of you who read this, thank you for taking the time to help. I'm a noob to JavaScript and GREP expressions, so thank you for all your time and help with this.

  I wrote a JavaScript script to help my company format some of our work more quickly. We have pre-made models with character Styles all implemented (body, header, BodyItalic) etc.

  My script works almost perfectly to identify patterns and apply the correct character style.

  However, my expressions do not work perfectly and last line of text in the text box (linked), which has a column break, do not get to the format.

  This last line is always different depending on the document. So I can't put in the constants. They are always variable.

  My current GREP expression is. + ~ M which, theoretically, should find any character who repeated one or more times and is followed by a column break. The problem is, he finds that the last two characters on the line which are followed by a column break.

  for example

  Tribute would be tribeTE

  Eulogy would be EuloGY

  etc etc.

  As you can see, they are not always the same words and could even be a short sentence so I can't just look like some words.

  I am trying to establish why the GREP expression does not. Maybe I use GREP evil symbols? I don't know, so any help would be appreciated.

  This column break thing seems bugy. I have no idea why only the last two characters are found. If I try to find an entire word with \w+, which does not work. I get results as weird if I try to \b\w+~M. the good news, is that InDesign is no crash, here.

  However: There is no GREP to search a specific line, so I'm looking for a columnbreak and then for the line which belongs to the aware found:

• Failed to insert column break

  I'm trying to insert a column break in my story, but it comes out like a regular paragraph break. How can I do this?

  "Content" is not really an existing property of the main subject matter of the text. He behaves like a string of regular text in Javascript (and probably in other languages), but that does not mean it is a simple string. I think that reading of and writing for she took a position low enough level in the tree of DOM objects are translated internally to mess with the 'real' text object, so it is completely transparent to the programmer.

  In other words, it puts the individual elements above the line and below the line AMOUNT.  In this case, it sounds strange, because there is only a single element above the line.  It would look funny if you give something like this:

  Total general for all departments

  JOB TOTAL_COUNT

  --------- -----------

  ANALYST 2

  4. THE CLERK

  MANAGER 3

  PRESIDENT 1

  Hello everyone.

  I have a text box I created.  When I fill it with text, I am wanting to move to a different area of specific text on a different page of the text.  I tried to use the column break and breaking framework but had no luck with either.

  Is it possible to do so.  How can I do?

  You are on the right track, but before the text goes to the next section they need be threaded.

• Problem of columns

  This problem is dirving me mad!

  What happens is, when the height adjustment column, bringing sometimes causes text to jump to the next column. It seems that this is because there must be a set of adjustment somewhere which decides if there is a new paragraph at the bottom of the acolumn it must be moved to the beginning of a new column. Is it possible to stop what is happening?

  On page 4, you will notice the first column is much larger that is should be, but when you adjust the height of the column, the text immediately jumps to the next column, so that when all the columns are the same height, there is a gap at the bottom of the first column. (if you don't get me, have a file (upper-left p4) looka t and it becomes clear.

  I didn't look at your file, but it sounds like a classic "retains" question. If you have the paragraph RULE style to keep, say, three lines together at the beginning of the paragraph and adjust you the column so here I sroom for only two, the entire paragraph will move to the next column. The same principle applies if you have set the three lines to stay together at the end - ID will break the paragraph at the beginning (apparently) to ensure that there are three lines at the top of the next column.

  Before I upgraded to Indesign, I had no problem with export ePUB files. Then later, I started to lose my breaks and spaces

  This isn't happen if I export to PDF and XHTML of the EPUB has paragraphs in the code.

  Bizzarely, I exported the EPUB on another machine and now it is fine.

• Report interactive apEx - line column break?

When I enter the phone number, I get just 9 digits, so the SQL select query put () and - in the report results. When I have 2 phone numbers I just enter 18 digits, then select request divide number in format (0xx) xxx - xxx, (0xx) xxx - xxx. But my problem is... result interactive report for 2 phone numbers it looks like this:

• FDK: Problem with line breaks / carriage returns

  I met a strange problem with strings when you use the FrameMaker API. We have a FAPI customer who translated documents FM reading in their content, by replacing their text by the new translated text and in return the change in writing.

  However, I found that some strings are starting with a \r (carriage return) character, when we read in and when we write their return, they begin with \r\n, which moves text to the bottom line, and can break things as references etc. I don't know exactly why this is happening, we are using Visual C++ and we do a lot of conversions between classes CString and StringT types so maybe this conversion process are to do.

  To be honest, I find the appearance of newlines and carriage returns in the frame channels somewhat odd frame API breaks up the text of a paragraph into fragments for you anyway, so I would have thought that the use of these characters is redundant. That's a big assumption however so correct me if I'm wrong.

  We have implemented a work around by which our program strips newlines off channels before writing their return

  but in reality, what we really need to undress returns to the main line of strings, before starts the printable text in a string.

  I wonder what others have to say about this WRT its security approach. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

  I did a little greater experimentation, based on my previous comments (sorry, should have done that before I clicked on the Post before.)  When I programmatically add a \r one paragraph, I don't see no effect in page layout. This is consistent with my suspicions so far. I really think that, maybe, these characters are misleading and should be removed from the beginning.

  I filed a bug about the problem you are having. The problem is when you control break on a calculated column with defined format mask and aggregates, the aggregate information is not displayed correctly. When I run the interactive report in debug mode, I see that analytical for aggregated information function partitions incorrectly. Using your example:

  IR runs this query to get the counts for each month of posting:

  count("AMOUNT") over (partition by "POSTING_DATE")
  

  Instead, it should run this query:

  count("AMOUNT") over (partition by to_char("POSTING_DATE",'RRRR/MM'))
  

  To work around the problem, you can change the calculation month without the format mask view and set to_char(F,'RRRR/MM'). Aggregates will display correctly.

  Here is an example of how I would do it with 2 different styles:

  I use much anchored objects but I avoid them if possible. Here, I think it works much faster without. When you start a paragraph, you don't have to think about how bringing in formatting over the years, format changes after 1 or 2 tabs. Take a look at the paragraph style definition in the nested Styles.

  I recorded to IDML, it should be compatible with CS4.

  I have a composite webform consisting of 3 individual forms. A mixture of percentage entered for 52 weeks (down lines) and 6 produced (in columns). I added a column formula after products that add up the percentages per week (must total 100%).
  
  I added validation to this column of formulas, to say that if the current cell value <>1 then watch cell in red.
  
  I have 5 weeks of met data, three of the verified cells show ok, two in the red, despite the fact that all the lines are estimated at 100%...
  
  I can't put my finger on what is the decomposition of is... data problem by rank, as follows (figures in %s)):
  
  50,5,2,1,15,27--OK
  12,17,30,25,5,11--GLOBULE RED
  8,20,40,18,6,8--GLOBULE RED
  10,30,10,30,10,10--OK

  I tried another set of figures in a problem like 10,10,10,10,10,50 and it verified fine lines. I tried replacing the lines by just in case of problem with the same data validation something funny was going on, but the question remains.
  
  Problem arises if see us form via Smart View or directly in the planning.
  
  Someone has an idea what is the problem? Did I miss something blatantly obvious or is - this a known issue? What is the characters in problem lines that are causing this - I don't see anything in common between the two.

  I've seen this before, and you do not have something "evil". This issue seems to be very similar to the floating point decimals errors we will see when we created these validations with JavaScript. (Google 'floating point decimal error' If you're having a really hard time, sleep...) A user can enter several values added up to 100, but the JavaScript interpreted the value as 100.00000000001.

  In any case, the solution is this - instead of create a validation that seeks 1, create looking for values higher than 0.99999 and 1.00001.

  I am creating a project of double film layer and bought even more precisely because she had the ability to produce an image of the RFP for replication. I read every message happening and the general consensus is that the manual layer break option or dialog box does not appear for most of the people (including me)-would come only upward when still unable to find a good place to put the layer break between videos. My experimentation, however, suggests that when auto value still simply splits the whole project exactly in half and place the breaking of the layer where it is - no matter if it's in the middle of a scene (as it happens for me). Without an option to set the layer manually break, however, I'm stuck. As well as my project, which is due out by Christmas. I've seen people talk about using ImgBurn and Gear Pro to set the outside layer break problem yet, but it's crazy since I just bought a product on the promise that he should do. Someone at - it no preview if Adobe are listening to this problem, or if there are no other alternatives that do not involve buying more third-party software? I am extremely frustrated by this - and especially the fact that it is spoken on the forums for a good while but nothing seems to happen to sort.

  Generate tab, do not select a DVD9 but rather a DVD5.

  Make a folder on your hard drive, not an image or a DVD disc.

  Ignore the announcement of the overflow of the disc. Then your project will be written to this file.

  Burn the necessary DVD9 with Toast app via the mode "burn the VIDEO_TS folder."
